The spectacular Pacific Northwest scenery alone would make this KOA worth a visit. But wait until you see what there is to do! Take a scenic drive along Samish Bay. Hop a ferry to the San Juan Islands or Victoria, B.C. Join a whale-watching expedition. Visit the picturesque 19th century fishing village of La Conner. Play a round of golf at any of the dozen area courses. At KOA, join in bingo and pancake breakfasts (most weekends), KOA Mud Pies and a wealth of activities on holiday weekends. RV groups appreciate the rec hall. Enjoy the cool waters of Friday Creek, which winds through the campground, or relax in KOA's indoor pool and hot tub. Stroll across the bridge to a 12-acre meadow frequented by deer and bald eagles.
Meet Your Hosts
In 1994 Del and Lori Crowder, their daughter Conni and her husband Walt Huffman and their two daughters Coli and Brittni decided to become partners in business and purchased the Burlington KOA.
Prior to KOA life all four had well established careers in Alaska but desired "something different". Del was a top notch Telephone Construction Manager, Lori was a very successful Real Estate Broker, Conni was a respected Telephone engineer and Walt was a highly skilled Production Supervisor in the North Slope Oil Fields.
Today the families work together as a cohesive team. They value their customers and strive to treat them just like family! All have found their niche in the campground operation and go the extra mile to ensure the grounds are clean and kept and the customers are satisfied. When asked, all will tell you the same thing "It's a great way of life and a wonderful way for the kids to grow up. We wouldn't trade it for the world".
