Beautiful grounds, with lots of amenities. We stayed in a camping cabin, it was comfortable and just what we needed for our one night stay on the way home to KY. Super friendly staff - we will definitely stay there again!

Cabin bathroom needs a little work. Drains slow lots of previous water damage to the wood makes it a little moldy. Other than that- great stay!

The only thing was the bed in the cabin was either broke or worn out. Needs new bed

The only thing I would like to see added is ventilation in the showers. It's no use in taking a shower just to be sweating when you get out. Other than that, it was a great stay and we will surely be back.

We stayed in cabin 11 this time. Positives? It's more secluded from others. Negatives? The bathhouse is not as nice as the one where we stayed at previously (cabin 7). The plugins for electricity were limited. It took us a while to figure out how to plug in the air conditioner. If you have the air plugged in, you can't have TV. The kids activities and coffee from a local food truck were nice!

Everything about the campground was great - except the bed we slept in. The mattress was so old that when you laid on it, you sunk into the middle. My wife and my backs were in substantial pain when we left and it really impacted our stay.

Please check the blinds in the cabin to ensure that all of the slats are there a bit unnerving to think that the camper next door could see in the cabin. Most of the deck lights were out or very dim. Otherwise a great stay. Thanks

This place never disappoints. Friendly staff. Friendly neighbors, great fishing and very comfortable cabin. The weather was crappy on sunday but that's just my luck. Always will be a koa member and visit the swannanoa location at least twice a year

Beautiful campground. Well-kept and friendly staff, but the sites are too small and too close together. At least the premium ones are. We were hoping for something better for the amount of $ we paid.

It is one of the best KOAs I have been to. The property is beautiful. The employees are great. The bathrooms were clean and the shower actually had water pressure. I will be back

We're limping home with a broken slide and broken steps on our RV. It's nasty weather, raining and the wind is blowing. We were able to convert our RV spot into a cabin and had a great view of the water and the birds. We were able to hook up the RV so the freezer stayed cold. The best part of all -- we got a great night's sleep. Thank you for taking care of us, we will be back!

Excellent. Very grateful. Some of outside deck solar lights not working. Recommend a gate at top of steps to deck to keep a dog free but contained. Extra electric heater was a plus. You are great!!

Beautiful scenery! Cabin was cozy. The cabin & arcade need maintenance. The bedroom floor was in bad shape soft & peeling. The pots in the kitchen were bad. Peeling Teflon. Afraid we would ingest it so I didn't use and all pots had loose handles (scalding hazard!) need replaced. Almost every machine in the arcade was broken. We still enjoyed but $$ needs to be reinvested into the property.

We enjoy staying at this KOA. For us it is in a convenient location in the Asheville for things we like to do. The bathhouse are nice. They seem to keep them up to date and clean. The staff has always been friendly to us. I've enjoyed being right on the small ponds and have enjoyed fishing in them. There are two ponds with fish. The loop around both ponds is approximately one mile. There is plenty of open space to walk dogs as well. Holiday weekends this KOA fills up. Lots of children. Expect to be patient when driving in and out of the campground most camp goers walk the camp ground roads. Most of the sites are back in only. Which is not a problem for our short trailer. The only negatives I have for this KOA is the dump station. It is hard to get to unless you have a short trailer and a vehicle with a good turning radius or you have to back into or out of the dump station. Some of the sites seem to hold water when it rains, but all the sites we've stayed in have been flat. We have not rented any of the bikes, pedal carts, golf carts or anything like that.
