Albany / Lake Cumberland KOA Journey, nestled off Hwy 829 in Albany, KY, offers a gateway to the natural wonders of Lake Cumberland and its surrounding area. This open year-round park is ideally located just 5 miles from Marina Rowena, a hotspot with a superb restaurant and picturesque views. Lake Cumberland itself is a major attraction, boasting over 1,255 miles of shoreline and covering more than 65,000 acres, making it a prime location for vacations and a significant source of local tourism.
The Lake Cumberland area hosts several festivals and events throughout the year, including the Lake Cumberland Thunder Run, the Master Musicians Festival, and the Kentucky Lake Cumberland Bluegrass Festival. These events offer live music, food, arts and crafts, and other family-friendly activities.
