Southern-Style Sausage Dressing


  • 1  pound(s)  Jimmy Dean pork sausage
  • 1  c  celery, chopped
  • 1  c  onion, chopped
  • 1  tsp  poultry seasoning
  • 1/2  tsp  pepper
  • 2  qt  chicken broth
  • 4  large boiled eggs, chopped
  • 1  recipe bisquits - precooked and crumbled
  • 1  recipe cornbread - precooked and crumbled


Sauté sausage, celery and onion. In large bowl, combine sausage mixture, spices, boiled eggs and crumbled biscuits and cornbread; blend all. Add chicken broth until mixture resembles the consistency of cake batter. Place in Dutch oven lined with foil, cook for approximately 1 hour or until top is slightly browned.

Oven Directions: Bake at 350° for 1 hour.
