Breakfast Fried Rice


  • 2  c  white or brown rice
  • 4  c  water
  • 6-8  sausage links or 1/2 package of patty sausage (for lower fat use turkey sausage)
  • 4  eggs
  • 2-4  Tbsp  sesame oil
  • soy sauce to taste


Cook rice in water until tender and keep cool till ready to use. Brown sausage in frying pan in small pieces. When sausage is brown drain off grease. Scramble eggs in separate pan or in side of pan with sausage. do not mix yet! When sausage and eggs are fully cooked add sesame oil, rice and soy sauce. cook till all is hot and browned approx 5-8 minutes. Serve when hot adding additional soy to taste.
