Steamed Campfire Clams
- 1 bag of fresh clams-your choice
- 1 stick of butter
- 1 small onion
Place live clams on grate over fire or BBQ grill. The clams will stay closed and steam in their own shell. When the clams open up...they are ready to eat. Melt one stick of butter in a sauce pan on the fire while clams are cooking with a little bit of sliced onion for a great flavor for dipping. Any clams that do not open should be discarded.
