Melt In Your Mouth Ribs
This is a campfire recipe that cooks all day.
- Several pounds of boneless pork ribs
- 2 bottles of BBQ sauce
- 2 cans of beer
- 1/2 bag of brown sugar
In a heat resistant pot, pour out the BBQ sauce. Use the beer to rinse out the BBQ sauce bottles and dump it into the pot. Stir in the brown sugar and some honey. Cut the ribs apart and drop in the sauce - stir to cover all the ribs. Cover tightly with foil and put the pot on the coals of your fire for about 6 hours. Stir occasionally. After 6 hours poke about 12 holes in the foil to vent and cook for 2 more hours. This will thicken the sauce.
This is not for the faint of heart - or those on a diet!
