Tucson KOA New To KOA System

January 31, 2014

RVers migrating south for the winter go by many names. But, whether you’re a Winter Texan, a Florida Snowbird or an Arizona Sun Chaser, you’ve established a lifestyle that is the envy of all of those “snow shovelers” you left behind.

Regardless of your favorite nametag, (here, we’ll just call you Snowbirds), you are always on the lookout for a wonderful, new warm weather experience.

That’s why Kampgrounds of America is happy to tell you that we’ve added the Lazydays RV Campground in Tucson, Arizona to the KOA family. The new KOA winter oasis is now known as the Tucson/Lazydays KOA, located at 5151 South Country Club Road.

This location, which was known as the Beaudry Campground before being purchased by Lazydays RV, brings together not just two iconic names in the camping/RVing industry, but also two of the most trusted brands when it comes to exceptional customer service.

It’s a wonderful winter “home base” for Snowbirds, with 380 total sites, 30/50 amp service, a full-service bar, restaurant, two pools, event center, meeting rooms, fitness center, Kamp K9 dog park and complimentary WiFi service. Details matter here, so you’ll find mature fruit trees throughout the campground.

And don’t forget – Lazydays RV Service Center is located on-site for all of your RV service needs.

We also know that Snowbirding is all about having fun! That’s why we’ve got a long list of special activities to keep you hopping, including Bingo, poker walks, ice cream socials, water aerobics, movie nights, line dancing, couples dancing, seminars and even “jam sessions” for those who love creating beautiful music.

At KOA, it’s the great people in yellow that really make the difference. Jeff and Judy Gooch are your Tucson/Lazydays KOA hosts, and they have a long history of taking care of guests like you.

Jeff worked in the vacation club industry in California, the Pacific Northwest and in Maui, where he managed several resorts. When not working alongside Jeff, Judy was a caregiver for the elderly, and also spent years involved in wildlife rehabilitation programs.

“We have always had a lot of pride in exceeding our guest’s expectations of service, always going well above and beyond,” says Jeff. “We both want campers to know how important they are to us.”
