We loved the location the moment we drove up. The cabin exceeded our expectations. The pancake breakfast was a huge bonus and every employee we encountered was incredibly nice and helpful. We have already recommended this place to friends and will definitely return.

We had the best time celebrating Early Valentine's Day. Our ladies were definitely spoiled with red roses, breakfast and chocolate. All a courtesy from KOA Holiday. Jim gave us a tour of the Teepees and the largest cabin!! What a very nice man. Thank you, we truly had a blast.

A perfect little resting area, surrounded by tall pines and holiday. decorations. Free shuttle to the train depot was very convenient to just sit back, view the scenery, and enjoy the ride.

We enjoyed our stay!! The bed was comfortable and everything was very CLEAN!! My only wish was the store to be open a little earlier but really not a problem. Highly recommend for value and felt very safe.

We stayed at Rusk KOA after our Polar Express Train ride. The cabins were very clean and had everything we needed for the night. The campground was very nice and easy to get into. Since we got in a little late, we didn't participate; but there was live music at the pavilion.

Very nice place, staff was extremely nice and helpful. Communication was excellent and everything went as planned. Kids had a great time with lots of activities for them. Appreciate it greatly and definitely will be planning another get together for our family. Thanks again.

We stayed in the tepee. It was very neat and a check off the bucket list. The only thing I’d suggest is an ‘occupied’ sign; we had a group of teenagers and their parents look in to check it out while we were there.

This was the 10th year for our family to enjoy a weekend in Rusk. This year we loved the live music and the kindness of the owner making a fire in the fire pit so we and other families could enjoy s’mores during the concert. Wonderful, wonderful place to unwind and rest from busy lives. Thank you!! See you next October.

We loved our weekend in the peaceful piney forest at Rusk KOA. Only problem for over 70year old couple is that there is no toilet in the Camper Cabin. Loved having a fridge and TV. Space is very limited, could not imagine being in there with two kids. One has to be a minimalistic packer. Very clean bathrooms and showers. Great stay, thank you.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time there. If I had anything negative to say. It would have to be the reservation making and payment process. We were there as a church group and needed several sites including deluxe cabins / camping cabins/ tent site. We had to reserve and pay deposits in several motions. The same thing when we paid our balance. It would be nice to be able to reserve in one step than

6 of my family plus two toddlers spent the weekend in a cabin oh and also the family pet. The camp messaging system helped inform about daily activities and notice of store closing time. The pool was nice as well.

There are some permanent residents onsite that seemed to have interest in my girlfriend. Made her uncomfortable when she took the dogs out and she had two men watching her every move. Also our cabin seemed to be the only one without a fire pit. Isn't that one of the main things people do when camping? The cabin inside was great, but the experience not so much. Lastly, 6:30 is pretty early to close

The park was nice. The restrooms were clean. I didn’t like that we didn’t see anything on the website for a pet fee, and were charged an extra $25. The cabin we stayed in was dirty and had sheets that were left on the bed. The fridge was also dirty and moldy on the tray. The pool was clean and the staff was friendly.

This is a really nice KOA. It has lots of amenities and is well maintained. Our cabin exceeded our expectations. The camp staff were plentiful and all were very polite and helpful. Great breakfast on Saturday! This was perfect for a weekend getaway with our two dogs. We will be back.

Apart from mistakenly listing the cabin as coming equipped with an electric grill and I came prepared with steaks and sausages, the camp missed my enquiring text and closed for the first night and I went to sleep without dinner as the office closed at 5 PM, they scrambled the next day to supply me with a charcoal grill, complete with charcoal and liquid fire starter.

My grandchildren and I really enjoyed our stay there. The Tee Pee was really special to stay in. The lights, blue tooth speakers, and fire hand warmer inside the tent made it even more cool. We enjoyed the hiking trail there. It is nice that they welcome you to use the wood laying there to build a fire in the fire pit outside too. The people were very nice and helpful.

We only stayed one night but wished we could have stayed longer. The staff was super friendly. The kids absolutely loved it & plenty of activities for them to do. Everything was great. The cabin was perfect. We can't wait to stay again.

PROS: Easy check in check out, great location, loved the cabin. Staff so helpful, even brought a charcoal grill to our site. Beautiful view, fun hiking trails. Will definitely be back.. Cons: No storage space with shelves (closet had some but no hangers, maybe under the stair storage?) The smoke alarm was triggered whenever the oven was opened, no smoke just heat.

Stayed in a duplex deluxe cabin at this KOA to attend a family reunion held on site. The cabin was very clean and comfortable. Cabin has a kitchenette, including 2 burner cooktop, microwave, regular coffeepot, and small refrigerator/freezer. Minimal cookware and dinnerware was included. Linens provided for shower. Very comfortable mattress on bed.

I really enjoyed my time here! Grounds were amazing! Clean showers, breakfast in the am, bbq, hidden blackberry bushes, rentable tp's/cabins, swimming pool, huge wifi radius, rentable pedal carts, great pricing, and lots of room! Was at the Russian rock festival during this time, and there wasn't a single thing to complain about. The weather was perfect as well, so this was definitely a good time for the festival. Thank you to the staff for being so friendly and accommodating! Highly recommend anyone looking for a family friendly camping location surrounded by tons of pine trees. Added bonus of being next to the Crockett National Forest, where we camped the night before coming to KOA. These are the parts of Texas I really love, beautiful nature areas everywhere and small quaint country towns with amazing cafes.
