Campground Reviews

Just spent the night before heading on home. Clean campground; clean restrooms, which is pretty much all I care about. Nice folks, too.

Safe place to spend night with level site and clean 30 amp power. Staff helpful, old picnic table, no grill, rutted, one trash bin near front building, unpaved.

Staff was rarely in the front office or scene. rained while we were there and majority of the lower sites were flooded including ours. Had to walk through 3-4 inches of water to get to the front door of our RV. Stayed like this for several days. This was by far the least clean KOA I've ever stayed at. The bath house was recently remodeled though and was very nice on a positive note.

Just an overnight. 41' coach towing a Jeep (isn't everyone, LOL). Easy to find, easy in/easy out. Friendly efficient staff. Excellent WiFi, Only used the 50amp power but good output. No complaints whatsoever.

I understand that no one can control the weather - thunderstorms happen. But I do think there are things that can be done with drainage and grading. We are tent camping and when we arrived virtually all of the tent sites were too waterlogged to camp in. We picked the dry driest spot and did our best to keep the tent clean. But by the second night we were wading through water to get into the tent.

The people were real nice they took good care of all our needs . The concern we stayed 7 nights we were on site c9 our friends were on site c12 would could not be next to each other the sites were to small for that length of stay we had people coming on going between us all week the place needs lot work to many junk sheds abandoned mobile home over all unsightly kids area not ready season

The campground is beautiful and very close to STL which was convenient. The staff was super friendly just wish the mosquitoes were just as nice. Pool area was open and very clean but not too much seating around the pool. This was a nice stay for 1 night and a well kept Journey KOA. It is in an industrial area but you wouldn't know that once you're in the campsite. It was a good value for the cost.

This was a great stop on our long journey across the country. Our site was perfectly fine, very spacious, with full hookups. Our neighbors were friendly. We asked about the best laundromat in town and the young lady in the office gave us her recommendation. It was next to a car wash (our truck *really* needed it) and a little bar where I bought a glass of sparkling wine while the laundry dried!

The handicap shower is one of the best I've seen. I felt quite safe. The one suggestion I could make is partially due to my impaired vision. Entering the shower dressing area there is a 1" raised lip that I stumbled on due to not seeing it. The raised area stepping into the shower stall created the same issue. Perhaps reflective tape or paint could eliminate a fall.

We’re on our way out west and this was a great overnight stay. I’d recommend Linney’s restaurant which is about 3 miles from the KOA.

I find it obsurd that you arrive 20-30 minutes before check in and you are charged an early arrival fee. The park was somewhat empty. When you pull in there is no way to turn around so you NOT block the driveway. Extremely disappointed

Nice campground to stay out of the city of St. Louis, but to be close enough to go to all the major attractions. The only downside is the nearby train.

Campsites were overgrown. Trash receptacles were overflowing for the entire time of our stay. Campground did not seem kept up to KOA standards

Staff friendly and helpful, older campground in an industrial area a little noisy at night, campground clean and sites clean, a bit tight on some sites. easy in and easy out, not hard to find, close to I-270.

First time out with our camper. I liked that there was a guy who escorted us to our site. Nice little place to camp

The lady at the front desk was rude. Front desk said it was open until 6 and she was in her car leaving by 550. We had the only site that was for an “RV” but had no gravel and we were in a complete puddle of mud and unable to be outside the entire stay. Also did not seem as though they sprayed for mesquitos we couldn’t spend a single second outside without being attacked even with bug sp

We stayed for one night. Loved this place and the hospitality of the people over there. But..But except for the BUGS and MOSQUITOES. Sitting outside for a single minute, both day and night, with a mosquito bite was very painful. Came back home with at least 10 bite marks and itchiness for a week. They should take care of this very seriously.

The plus with staying at this KOA is the proximity to downtown St. Louis. Our pull through site, was moderately level for our short stay. Downsides....rain water stands and does not drain, especially on our water/sewer/electrical side so i was having to walk through water to drain the tanks etc.... The wifi, was really non existent. I had to toggle off of my phone as the wifi really did not work.

The campground was not in the best shape, although the bathrooms were exceptionally clean, a huge plus!

We weren’t informed the laundry would be closed before we arrived. Planned to do our wash while there and learned the machines were broken and needed to be replaced. That was a disappointment! Even tho we were given a map to a laundromat after we hooked up so of course we didn’t want to unhook our RV after all the work we out into it. Good thing we stayed only one night.

We thought the staff was very friendly and helpful. The Journey KOA was just what we were looking for. I think some camper's expected a Holiday KOA from the reviews they have given. The young man the check me in was helpful in choosing a good pizza place that delivered to your camp site. IMO's pizza was pretty darn good thank you young man. Showers are hot and clean as were the bathrooms. 5 star

I did enjoyed there. Capra and Shawn are both great workers. They were helping with TV and gave me the information about camping grounds

The park needs maintenance. Spots were uneven, muddy and messy. The picnic tables all appear to be very old, warped and dirty. With thunderstorms frequently in the area, a little attention to trimming dead branches out of the trees would go a long way to peace of mind. Wasn't pleasant to have branches hitting the trailer during the night.

People didn't follow speed limit through park

Ok for an overnight stop.

An alright place to use as a parking spot for an RV and be close to St. Louis.

We arrived later in the evening. The offices were already closed. We were able to find our cabin easily. It had rained before we arrived and there was lots of standing water around the cabin. The cabin was clean. Couldn't get our tv to work. The bathrooms were clean and we checked out before anyone was at the office, so I can't really say much about the rest of the facilities.

Looking for a RV site close to the attractions in St Louis, found this park wasn't to sure about it after reading the previous reviews but we pulled in without a reservation. Desk crew was very helpful and was in a site in just a few minutes. Good gravel interior roads full hookups, cabins and tent sites also. Park is located in an industrial area but once you are in the park you wouldn't know it. Pool, propane, laundry closes at 6pm, clean bathrooms with showers. 10 miles from the Arch 4 miles from Chain of Rocks bridge. Like all KOAs it's a little bit pricey but definitely the best park we found close to town. Seems safe easy in and out WiFi worked great would have given 5 stars if the laundry was open later.
