Nice clean place and very friendly staff. But the pool was down for maint. & they had a couple water slides for kids, but nothing for adults. Exactly at 10Pm we were told no music, not lower but turn OFF the music. Nothing for adults and no music,

The price for tent camping is high, but the location is great for sightseeing in San Diego. The pool was closed during our stay & we did not know that until we arrived. The pool was one of the main draws for us, & they were not offering a discount despite one of the main "resort" amenities being closed. The majority of activities all cost extra. Grounds were clean, felt safe.

We had a great time! The only thing we were disappointed about was that the pool wasn’t open and we didn’t know that ahead of time before booking.

The campground was incredibly noisy and crawling with children, making driving in and out dangerous. It's great for families but not for anyone seeking quiet relaxation. An adults-only section would be nice. We were given a spot directly across from the children's playground, which eliminated any chance of relaxing. Surrounding campers played music throughout the day and at night until 10:00pm.

We had a great time staying here with our family. The kids enjoyed all of the fun activities that were offered during our stay. The only issue was that the pool was closed for maintenance our entire stay.

Great experience, camp ground was clean and staff was quick to respond when needed. This is our second stay at KOA San Diego.

Very nice campground with lots of amenities and plenty of activities for kids. Sites were level asphalt pads and well maintained.

Upon check in, we went and looked at our site and then asked to be moved to a quieter location. This changed us from tent electric to nonelectric site, and I was told would get refund of $22. Upon checkout, I asked at front if refund had processed. Amy Martinez was difficult to work with. She said there was no record of my move, I had to show her pictures of us there! Finally called supervisor.

The grounds were great ... but quiet hours were not kept, and there were not employees around to help enforce those hours. Many sites were very loud well past 10 pm. It made it really hard to fall asleep when you are in a tent.

Nobody told us the pool would be closed our entire 11 day stay for remodeling. We wouldn’t have come during that time.

went there to camp & relax but instead we had to deal with frustration due to the other cabins bringing boombox and blasting their music as loud as possible even after quite hours! We had to call the office 5-7 times complaining the response was well talk to them but nothing happened! we were asleep at 3:30 am there was laughing/talking outside our cabin had to call office. boombox is not for camp

We have been coming to this KOA for 30+ yrs and have always enjoyed it. However, we were disappointed in our deluxe cabins’ accommodations this yr. We were short of sheets and usable pots with lids. We were also short of silverware serving for 6. Guest services did see that we got these items which we did appreciate.

The staff was wonderful. They were welcoming and caring. The facilities were just okay. The cabin we started in was stuffy and the beds were uncomfortable. For the amount of money we spent I expected better.

The cabin was really nice, but the floor was extremely dirty like it hasn't been mopped in months. We were sticking to it when we walked and the dirt was so bad it got my socks completely dirty in a couple of hours. The mattress had NO support-needs a new one ASAP, and the stove didn't work well. But we liked everything else. It was just frustrating to spend that much money for a very dirty place.

unfortunately the pool was down and on the 3 day of our stay a lot more children and the water slides were packed and limited times as there was then a lot of water to walk around in and it would of been nice to have some type of chairs and shade for us who keep an eye on our great granddaughter. Otherwise the stay was good and with the updates about bikes being stollen was helpful

Deluxe cabin was clean and comfortable. The pool was closed for maintenance which was a huge negative, although they did email to let us know but it wasn’t much notice prior to our trip. Stinks we had to pay the same as someone who gets to enjoy that BIG amenity (especially when you have young kids). Staff was comprised of people who were not personable. We would consider coming back again.

Very clean facilities. Very friendly and accommodating staff. Lots of activities for all ages. We love this KOA as a home base for visiting all of SD attractions. It could work on upgrading the WiFi. Peter and Doreen Waack

Even though the pool was closed, the campground provided so many activities to keep the kids busy. They had so much fun playing on the jumpy pillow, playing gaga ball, enjoying the waterslide and riding their bikes around the peaceful campground. We definitely will be planning a visit in the future! Every worker we came into contact with was kind, friendly and helpful.

1. I was given a "pull through" spot that I could never pull out of with my 45' 5th wheel. The trees and width of the road made it impossible. Had to ask tent campers behind us us to move their cars so I could back out. 2. Nearby campers were noisy with music and loud talking until long after midnight every night. 3am on Sat night. One night they were warned, but never again. Won't be back.

Pool was closed. was not informed. even at check in the girl gave us bands for pool. Management very rude about pool being closed. like who cares pool is closed We go to KOA with grand kids be cause they like the pool. very bad customer service need more training about taking care of customers

Unfortunately all that we have loved in years past about our annual San Diego KOA trip was not available to us… pool, barrel train & rock wall. At least we had notice about the pool. No notice about rock wall and barrel train. Also the water slides were messy and smelly. Not comparable at all. We should’ve received a discount. On a positive note, Staff was very kind throughout weekend.

This is our 3rd year in a row coming to this KOA. The reason we’ve loved this KOA in the past is because of the extra amenities it provides. During our stay the pool was closed, there was no barrel train, no rock climbing, and we were told we needed to lock up our bikes because many were being stolen. All of these things definitely had a negative impact on our stay.

very disappointed with this KOA. We were there five nights. The day after we arrived they closed the pool and hot tub down for repairs.They insisted they notified all their guest but we never received a call an email or any kind of notice. We are rewards members and there was nothing on the app as well. We use KOA's all over the country just because the amenities. Should have been compensated.

It was an amazing stay. The staff was so helpful and the grounds are nicely kept. Super kid friendly my kids had a blast. Will be coming back for the 4th.

This is a beautiful campground, well maintained and I enjoy all the activities. However, I was disappointed that the pool was down for repairs with no discount. Its summer! The restroom needs to be restocked with toilet paper in the evening. Many stalls were out by 9 pm

The only setback that I had about this past visit, was that the pool was shut down. That was one of the main reasons we went up to take our grandkids. We all enjoyed hanging around the pool.

Really disappointed that the pool was closed during our first stay at this facility as well as KOA in general. We were only informed of this a week prior to our stay. So we were not able to get the most out of our stay due to this inconvenience. My kids enjoyed all the activities offered. However, the sound of the traffic from camping right in the middle of the city was bothersome.

Pool was closed but at least we were notified of the maintenance ahead of time. Unfortunately the waterslides took way too long to inflate/fill and the surrounding area was muddy which got the slides super gross.Bathrooms were ok.Campsites way too close to each other in my opinion but luckily our neighbors were decent. We were notified of bike thefts. Communication from staff good.

Came to jump in the pool and it was closed, no water, nobody working on it, I’m canceling my KOA membership. I had a problem last time and the assistant manager did his best to accommodate but yet still wasn’t resolved. I comeback and try it again 18 months later and I will no be back.

San Diego Metro KOA is like a little oasis for kids tucked away in an urban setting. They have pools, hot tubs, jumping pillows, musical bucket train, gemstone mining, rock wall climbing, bike rentals and many more activities. They go all out for Halloween and some other major holidays. Definitely a fun time for the entire family with various types of sleeping accommodations such as yurts, cabins or tent camping. There are hot showers, restrooms and outdoor barbecue areas and playgrounds too. They also have a restaurant and camp store too.
