We had a great time staying in the covered wagon. Air conditioning was a huge plus. Beds were super comfortable. The kids loved the jump pad and the train rides. The train driver was fun and you could tell he enjoyed his job. They also loved crystal, gem, and fossil sluicing. Town was close by which was an added bonus. Overall it was a great family vacation.

Very nice KOA! Clean, friendly staff, great location!! We saw blue recycling containers in town so are very disappointed that there was no recycling at this KOA. We carried empty plastic containers into town and when asked told people it was because the KOA did not recycle ..(. Lastly, a better internet would be appreciated! We did enjoy our stay, thanks!!

We always love the KOA at Winthrop and will continue to use, the feel is much different since is now not owned by family but big business. Bathroom are dirty and out of products alot. Alot of extra charges for things that used to be just good service. I'm handicapped and need to be near bathroom now 25.00 change things you think about in the future.

Cabin could have been cleaner, floor needed to be swept and wet mopped. I cleaned up a little spill of water from our dog and the floor was very dirty. Otherwise our stsy was fine.

Perhaps you would have had a better rating if you your customer service was better! We arrived early at about 12:30 pm. we could not check in because "Check in is 3:00pm". We checked our tent site, it was empty but we were not allowed to set-up our tent. Very INCONVENIENT! We had to wander around town for three hours doing basically nothing! Then stand in line again to check in! RUDE!

We traveled from Alabama to Washington state, we planned to go through Yellowstone, but had to detour to the Cascades as an alternate. Our reservations and stop here was unintended, but in our 14-day journey, from Alabama to Washington, and back, this was our favorite stop. A hidden gem, found by accident.

Great site size, clearly better than most. KOA gets 5 stars for this. Don't advertise wifi and then make excuses. Booked this KOA because we needed wifi for a work connection that couldn't be done outside of the office. KOA failed on this topic

2nd time we’ve been here. 1st stay was lovely and quiet.This time was different. Both full days we were here were filled with noise pollution from lawn equipment and noisy tractors which went on for hours during the prime time of day we wanted to be outside enjoying the outdoors. We left the campground for hours those days. Worse, the lawnmower was just driving around in same circle aimlessly.

shot a bb gun at a water jug and were told we shot birds. we shoot bb guns over on this side of the mountains. after second talking to by now the general manager we were told on day 3 we were too loud??? I had my daughter and 5 grandkids. People in T1 were drinking, swearing and arguing all day. Visitors that never paid to be there. Two men peed outside with in view to us and my grandkids

We had a great time. The park was super clean and very well maintained. The view of the river was nice. love that they had a little dog park you can play in with your dog.�

The campground was clean and welcoming. The staff were very kind and cheerful. One of the staff even directed me to a walking trail and then said hi to me all weekend. We were in a large group and we were able to use the large grass area to get together. We have always had great experiences at KOA and this was no different.

Everyone was friendly and welcoming. The additions, changes and upgrades are wonderful....group kitchen, private bath/showers, etc. Too many dogs in my area, barking at night and early in the morning.

We use to love staying here with our family but then they raised their rates exponentially and won’t allow additional tents so families can camp together, then charges. Didn’t apply refund to accidental additional campsite reservation. Charges for each individual at sites and pets charges get high and no additional amenities no longer provided such as bike rentals. Store and pool closes at 6p

Very well kept campground. Nice, large sites. Extremely nice people who work there. My only complaint is the pool closing at 6pm since it just starts cooling off by then.

Our grandkids had fun! We were surprised that you are charging extra for the kids on top of rather high site rates especially since they arent full utilities. We could have almost stayed at a motel with your rates. And then the pool hours have been shortened, as well. Charging to have visitors come for dinner seems extreme.. Our 80 year old friends canelled from coming for a BBQ due to fee.

Some of the amenities have been taken away. The pool closes at 6 which is way too early in the summer. Store is also closed at 6 which is also too early also. Tents are not allowed in an RV site even though there is room. Part of the camping experience is kids sleeping in a tent.

Super annoying I was charged a $10 early arrival fee for showing up at 2:15. Jump pillow was a disappointment. Very soft and not able to jump on it. It need a bigger air pump. The park was clean and appeared well maintained.

We stayed for 4 nights and the staff was awesome and the park was clean. It was really disappointing that the pool closed at 6pm when it Is still hot out and the kids still have energy. The pool is our only real complaint.

The staff were all very friendly. Receptionist was very thorough in instructions and facility map. Everything very clean and appreciated firewood delivered to our site.

Sad to say that this speifi KOA has gone downhill. My parents used to take us as kids, and now my sister and I take our families there. We have been coming for the past 6 yrs. This yr they were rude about our 35 min early check in, sad when people travel so far and are off by a little with drive times. We paid the 10$ early check in and got set up. Meanwhile the pool closes really early.

One of the quietest, prettiest KOA campgrounds I have stayed at, nice, helpful staff, too! Great for kids. Nice location on a river, better space between campsites than in a lot of RV parks, lots of grassy areas and trees. My only complaints are no hot water for the entire 4 days I stayed, neither in the bathrooms or at the camp kitchen and poor (none) cellular data connection in the evenings.

We called ahead to check on cost of having a tent in our RV site and were told "no tents in any RV sites" Also checked on policy regarding people staying with local family coming to visit our our site and were told it was ok but $10.00 per person per visit. We were dissapointed to see many tents (6) in other RV sites and lots of extra visitors not paying. NOT EVER RETURNING!!

Love it here. Been coming for 25+ years every summer. NOT happy with "corporate" status. Arrived 2:30 6-21 Tuesday, was told to sit around and wait until 3:00 or be charged $10 per site for early check-in. Are you kidding?! Not cool at all. Pool closes 6:00 pm; what's up with that? The man that told us closed was rude. No wine or beer available in office store. So rigid now. I'm sad.

where do i start? ...I was told I could not have a tent with my van so I was forced to book an additional site. Also, the staff closing down the pool when my kids were swimming was rude and was wearing a shirt with the word a$$hole on it. My kids also said the man just switched off the jump pillow without saying anything and was rude when they asked. Pool tiles falling into pool. No shade on south

Called for reservations told they had WiFi not the best, very reception. After hours noise level was poor. Pool hours poor( maybe an adult hour or two at night? Small and crowded for size of park; dog run small and busy. Make another at east end by black water area. Too expensive for what is not provided.

Friendly staff checking in. Rude site staff...especially guy shutting down the pool with profanity on his t-shirt. Pool closes too early...6:00pm? Clean sites but no shade on the south side of park. Pool is in poor condition.

The staff were very helpful and were doing a great job keeping the washrooms, grounds and play areas clean. The cabin we rented was clean and served our needs very well.

Nice, quiet, near the river, but no feasible river access. Sites 9 and 17 have private patios with hot tubs.
