This was the best KOA experience we have ever had. There was a comforting amount of space between sites in our section. The genuine kindness of the staff was refreshing. The cleanliness of the entire park was pristine. The laundry facilities were the best.

Had a great time camping, really clean facilities and rv spots, kept the dust to a minimum by using a water pray truck. People were really friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay again,

Winthrop KOA is our Favorite KOA! We keep coming back. The staff is always so friendly and accommodating. They have so many fun things for the kids to do. They love the train, pool & play area. This year the cotton candy was a huge hit! Some of the best we have ever had! We love the proximity to the river.

It was a perfect place for all of our families, 33 of us in 4 RV sites and 4 tent sites. We used the pool, the jumpy thing, and played and cooled off in the river. We floated the river from town to our sites, walked around town and had ice cream. The kids had cotton candy at the KOA! It was a great family reunion at your KOA!!

The campground is average. The grass is dead and the pool is NOT heated like advertised. Winthrop is a great town and the river is fun to tube!

Absolutely fantastic! The staff were all so friendly and helpful. Campgrounds were clean and well kept. We will definitely be back next summer! The friendliness, clean grounds and location wall make this a truly amazing KOA!

I personally love the place. Even though we have no kids I did see they had plenty of activities for kids...my only complaint is not with the KOA itself but the lack of respect from other campers driving to fast making it really dusty...great location close to town and plenty of hiking.

Staff was friendly. Sites were okay. Problem with loud groups at night past quiet hrs and no one stopping them.

We understand that this KOA is under new management and we liked the activities provided for families. The cost however is getting a bit high. We like to stay for 11 days and were hoping to stay for 14 next year but with the price going up and the fact that you are including Sunday night as a weekend night, we are not sure we can afford it.

The park is lovely and well maintained. It does seem a lilting expensive for camping though.

We loved our stay with exceptions,location is fantastic,we were going to arrive 1-2:00,check in was 3.We were told No Early ck in,we even offered to pay a fee,we sat on the side of the hwy waiting,&found out later several other campers were allowed early ck in.Told at booking personal golf carts ok,now not allowed but small children on motorized bikes are.The pool was murky and run down.

My family and I have been enjoying this camp for about 25 years. original owner Mike and Laurie sold to “Stu” we tried and were very disappointed with the way in which we were treated, therefore did not return to camp trip 2 years. Then when we heard it again changed hands we thought we would give it another try. A small portion of my family came and we LOVED IT. Reserve 3 sites for next

We like this KOA. Just wish someone would tell people to make their kid be quiet and not wave bright flash lights at peoples camp sites at 11pm. Stayed Sunday and Monday nights.

We had a fantastic stay in the Conestoga Wagon! It had a lot of amenities that I was pleasantly surprised with, like AC, small refrigerator, and outlets. It was very private with fencing along 3 sides, and close to the restrooms and play area. Would definitely visit again!

We were told by a staff person that the adjacent area (just a grassy area under a tree off of our site) as part of our camp site. But, when we started to set up camp the GM came around (grumpy and rude) and told us NO we could not use any of the area as some day that is going to be a separate camp site. He did the same thing to the folks across the road. None of us were very happy about it.

Love the location of this KOA, it is next to a beautiful river with deer wandering through the campground. It is very well maintained and the staff are very friendly and accommodating. We stay here every year.

Need to develope better access to river, need to be lieneate when it comes to early check in / check out times........otherwise nice campground.

Between the river and the pool and all of the really nice people that we met it was my favorite one yet. The people who work in the office and the store were unbelievably friendly and helpful. This was a great stop

Once again - Winthrop KOA did not disappoint - the staff, the campers and the weather were all a delight - we just love coming here - this was our third trip and we WILL be back - I just love sitting around the camp fire in the evening watching the bats dive bomb for their food - thanks again for a wonderful stay and escape for the real world!!!!!

I wish the pool opened earlier and stayed open later. Staff member was cranky and impatient when it was time to close the pool. Need more shade trees, our cabin (with AC) was VERY hot. Also, a few misting stations to cool off would be nice. Otherwise, nice place to camp. Store closes early too (6 pm).

I liked the grassy sties better than the dirt and gravel at other sites. Pool is nice, bathrooms and showers are nice. Bounce pad fun for the kids. iIt was really really hot and there wasn’t much shade. 3/4 of our site was unusable due to sun. We had a large noisy party next to us, and nobody answered the after hours number. No activities for the kids. Was nearly empty during the week.

The lower bathroom to the right of the campground was in bad shape. No window, water on the floor which made it very slippery as was the shower floor and on a day of over 103 it was like a sauna. We enjoyed the access to the river and we’re fortunate to have a site mostly In The shade. While we are dog owners many campers had dogs who were not leashed. A lot of people walked through sites.

Dog enclosure so filthy we could not use it - charged us an extra $10 for 45 minute early check in - would not recommend again - worst koa we have ever stayed in.

The campground was clean and friendly. The shade was nice, pool was clean and the proximity to Winthrop was great for our bike. The laundry room was SO full of bugs k couldn’t believe it. Showers by the office were cold. The tree on our site dripped sap all over our stuff.

Clean and beautiful but the pool is too small considering they keep adding to the park. We do love it hear but if you are only counting on the pool for swimming, it definitely gets over crowded.

We loved all the fun things to do! The river floating, swimming, pet area, and the bikes. I wish the bikes were stationed up front again so they are more visible. The staff were amazing and we loved to chase the water truck on the hot days!

Good stay. Staff was a amazing. Appeared to be understaffed but they pulled through. Was a little disappointed to have to pay two fees to have two adjoining sites.

The campground is no longer friendly. The grounds are unkempt and there is a distinct raw sewage smell. Even though we were not a t full hook up site we could smell the sewage. This campground is not what it once was nor does it reflect the family friendly environment that it always was and that most all KOA's are. We will not return to this KOA. If we want to visit the area we will go elsewhere

Nice place with options of tent site, cabins, wagons and RV sites to choose from. Very clean bathrooms which I absolutely loved. Would stay here again.

Nice, quiet, near the river, but no feasible river access. Sites 9 and 17 have private patios with hot tubs.
