Whiteface Mountain Veterans Memorial Highway
For the best 360 degree view in the Adirondacks, you'll want to drive Memorial Highway. On clear days you can see vantage points that reach all the way to Vermont and Canada but enjoy the beauty of the Adirondacks while you're at the top. When you reach the top of the mountain, you'll be able to grab a bite to eat, check out the gift shop, and even take an elevator ride that is deep within the mountain to get up and down if you don't fee like making the climb.

Views are endless in this eight-passenger Cloudsplitter Gondola ride. It'll take you from the Main Base Lodge to the top of Little Whiteface in fifteen minutes to enjoy the observation deck or have a picnic at the top of the mountain. Many injured animals are brought to the wildlife refuge to be rehabilitated and hopefully released back into the wild. Connecting to the outdoors most majestic creatures will definitely be an wonderful experience.
The city of Wilmington has recently become a mecca for mountain bikers. Beauty of the area aside, there are many trails in the area, including the Hardy Road Trails, the Flume Trails, lift assisted trails at Whiteface Mountain, and the Poor Man's Downhill which ends right on our property in the 100 Acre Woods section. The campground is the perfect basecamp to get started.
High Falls Gorge
Just 4 miles down the road from Wilmington/North Pole KOA Holiday is High Falls Gorge, with over 700 feet of waterfalls on the Ausable River. Knows as the most beautufil walk in the Adirondaks, this area of the rive is sure to take your breath away. This is a great place to explore for the whole family. Open summer and winter.
