Love Wapakoneta KOA! The staff is always friendly, bathrooms/showers kept clean and the pool is always nice and something our kids look forward to! We visit at least twice a year, if your wanting more space I recommend a back-in site. We always enjoy the deluxe sites, very nice!

Very clean - super helpful staff - enjoyed the table & grill at the site - recommend the upgrade if available Close to interstate - easy to get to - Walmart & Aldi close by and plenty of fast food outlets (try KOA's pizza).

Mulberry from the tree stained the trailer but not the KOAs fault. Cut the tree down.

Convenient stop over, close to I-75. Lots of things to do in the campground. A little close between sites and the way they have it laid out, our door faced our neighbors door, so every time I opened my door I felt like I was stepping out into someone else’s space.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Some of the water/electric sites are set up as 'buddy sites'. Hopefully the people across were 'happy campers' too! If you are in the area in the future - the water/electric back in sites are favorites for many! (larger grassy areas to enjoy)

Lot space is too tight. Hardly any room for comfort without getting into the space next door. Definitely the worse KOA that we have stayed in.

I'm sure that during your stay, you located other sites that would suit your rig better? As we are an older campground, not every site is ideal for longer rigs. We hope you come see us again and try out another site - You'll be glad that you did!

We absolutely loved staying at the Wapak KOA. We have never stayed at a KOA before, and were extremely happy with everything!! The owners felt like family, the service and amenities were great!!! How can you beat pool side food service???? I don’t know how we will ever go back to regular basic camping??? We will definitely be back.

While I did have a great time up in Wapakoneta at the end of the day I'm reviewing the campsite itself not the city and fun stuff we did and all I can say is: very disappointing. The prices in the camp store are ridiculous, charging people to play pool in the game room is absurd, and the lot of land itself just isn't that big or impressive. $40 a night in a tent is asking WAY to much in my eyes.

Sorry your stay wasn't what you thought it would be. Our site prices are in line with other campgrounds and the store is for your convenience. Our game room is not free and I know of no campground where it is. You may be more suited to less expensive State Parks and no amenities....Happy Camping

This KOA is very quaint and quiet there are not a lot of amenities it would be great if you're just traveling through to another destination or maybe a weekend

Playground, sandbox, basketball, pavilion (with pin ball, foosball, pool, and claw games), pool, corn hole and ladder ball.....plus store and laundry which were frequented.

Really enjoyed our stay. Very friendly and helpful hosts. Bath house and restroom facilities are clean and tidy. No issues with power or water pressure. Nice mature trees on many of the sites provide some welcome shade. Only downside is that the pull-thru sites are a little narrow/close together; feels like you are on top of each other - especially when slides are deployed.

Very quiet, peaceful location out in the country. Very nice people. Convenient to a large TA gas station just down the road, easy access to the interstate. I recommend it and I would definitely go back again.

Yes! We are out in the country....but within just a couple of miles of restaurants, grocery and points of interest! Come back again ....and stay a while!

Great park, close to highway for an overnight stay but quiet enough to get a good nights rest. Cafe options a great plus, pool and play area all well kept , staff were helpful. Will be booking again on any other trips south.

We only stayed 1 night. The woman at the desk, Pat, was friendly and very helpful. The gentlemen that showed us to our site was friendly as well and made everything was ok. Great service.

I reserved a site in April and apparently booked an upgraded site in error. When I arrived they verified the confimation and were able to reassign me a site close to the laundry room. Very friendly staff, clean park, beautiful pool. Would definetly go back when traveling in that area.

It was great! The cabin was very clean and so were the restrooms/ showers. We had a great time in the pool and relaxing by the campfire. We will definitely go back!

This was our first time camping here. The campsite was within walking distance to everything. They had activities for adults and kids. I thought that I wouldn’t like being that close with the noise but once in the camper I couldn’t hear anything. The staff was amazing and friendly. I give them a 5/5. We will definitely be back, maybe later this year or early next year.

We LOVE Wapakoneta KOA!! Started as tent campers over 13 years ago. Now have an Rpod. Grounds and facilities are clean and maintained. The delivery of food (great pizza) ice & wood to your site is a plus. Karen & Kevin work long hours, but greet you with a smile! Looking forward to many more camping years! Carol & Roger

We stayed in the Deluxe Cabin for 4 nights, it was comfortable. The camp is clean and safe and even though it was near the end of the season there was a lot for us to do both at the camp and in the surrounding area. Such as - The Neil Armstrong Museum, Heritage Park (river walk, and our 6 month old Bernedoodle enjoyed a nice romp at the dog, the historical downtown) there are several parks around town with playgrounds as well. The campground also has a dog park both for big and small dogs. A playground and arcade for the big and little kids. ha ha We enjoyed our little get-away to the KOA at Wapakoneta. It was nice, relaxing and a fun way to spend our 34th wedding anniversary with just the 2 of us and our puppy. :) Kevin and Karen were so accommodating and helpful! Karen even mailed an item we left behind. Thank You! * sharing a picture of Bernie our puppy because this was "Bernie's Road Trip" and because he so adorable :)
