Campground Reviews

This KOA is one of the older ones but we find it adequate for a night's stop over on the way south for the winter. The staff were excellent.

Cabin was clean. Campground was quiet. I wish I could remember the lady's name in the office that took care of everything I needed and was such a kind person to my little girl who is going thru a very hard time in life right now. She was an older woman with glasses. Thank u for making our weekend so memorable

For tent camping, one of the worst places. No weather pad/dry space for a tent. No shaded or covered areas. At one point, the water went out so no bathrooms or showers. I’ve tent camped at over 20 KOA’s across the country and this one was the worst. Better to stay at a public campground for half the price and same amenities.

Wonder hosts, quite and lots of trees . Almost level pads.

We were moved over to A - D section of the campground which had trees and proved to be much nicer than the other side (G- J section) which was very open. I would definitely stay here again as long as I we were given a site over in A - D.

Staff were pleasant. Campground looks “tired” and I need of a fix up and cleaning. There was dog (or cat) poop on the small piece of lawn outside our 5th wheel by the picnic table. 5 or more pieces. Good access to drive to Sequoia Trees.

Always nice people and pleasant service. Great layover from sac area to points south if you like short travel days.

Park is very loud. I barely slept because of the noise. Lots of dogs that live there with permanent residents. The freeway noise and lots of trains. Park attendants are very nice and try to keep it clean. Restrooms need upgrading and water pressure is awful. Campground needs a little love but attendants were great.

Camp is nice but women's shower door latches are both broken, only the handicapped shower is secure. No place to put shampoo, etc. in the shower. There is a liquid soap dispenser in the shower but I want to use my things, not industrial supplies. A few fixes and it would be a "very likely" and 5 stars.

No cable was disappointed !! The campground needs a lot of work.

We were visiting with family in Visalia, not “on vacation.” It would have been nice to have cable tv.

Friendly staff and very helpful.

The cabin was as expected. The park was quite small. And there wasn't much for kids to do. We expected the typical bouncy pillow and a bigger park and more activities for kids. And we were disappointed the pool was closed for the season. The bathroom was small and is open to both genders which was uncomfortable. And it smelled like sewage in the area outside the bathroom.

The campground was very run down and they had one extremely rude employee named Heather.

As a location serving an incredible national park, we thought this would be a wonderful KOA. It was not, but it fit the need for a place to stay 1 night. The RV sites are flat. The bathrooms are clean. It is very dusty. However, I really enjoyed the camp cats. The black one with yellow eyes wanted to come with us. My husband was not amused. Sigh...

OK for an overnight I guess, there was a horrible smell from animals that made it unpleasant to sit or be outside. Lots of housing construction around the koa and roads are rough for an rv. Lots of truck traffic just off the freeway.

Good for an overnight - great office staff very friendly - unfortunately some "low life" trashed the men's facilities but staff were right on it. The facilities were good

Very nice stay, enjoyed the dog run area, very big and well maintained. Bags and trash available as well as a bowl with a water source. Very thoughtful. Area was clean. Not too much traffic noise just from other campers.. store was nice and so was laundry room. Didn't use the showers or bathroom can't speak to those

Everything was wonderful! At check-in I was asked if I wanted to use some of my points for my stay. I have never been asked this before and it was great!

We stop here twice a year on our way up to the Pacific Northwest and back. Staff is always wonderful. Campground is clean. Bathrooms are very clean. Any complaints about smells. Hey it’s the stockyards they cannot control that. Or the rooster in the neighborhood behind. Great KOA.

It was a typical Koa experience, except it’s in a bad neighborhood and our bikes were stolen in the night. The staff was helpful. But it might be nice to have a security gate or security in premises.

Staff was fine but the pull through location had a lot of dead grass and debris. Either the camp spot is overused or needs to be raked clean of debris. Everytime we went into our trailer we tracked dead grass or leaves into the trailer making a mess.

Would liked more grass or cement

Pretty much the only RV park in Visalia. We have stayed here on 2 separate trips and would stay again. 42’ MH with toad

Not one of the best KOA; not one of the worst. We would definitely stay here again when in the area.

Great location - easy off the freeway. All the sites have a lot of grass which was nice as we just came from an Arizona trip where there wasn't any grass!. Nice pull thru sites and the dog run was big and it also had grass. Well maintained. There is a train that was nearby and two trains went through but other than that it was very quiet.

Site was a little short for our 44 ft 5th wheel and truck. Luckily, the site beside us was empty so we parked there. Just a 45 minute drive to the AMAZING Kings Canyon & Sequoia National parks.
