The staff and location are great! With that said, the campground itself is definitely NOT up to the KOA standard we expect. The nightly rate is very high, which we were willing to pay for a KOA holiday with a patio. The site was spacious enough, but not level. It was mostly dirt and weeds. The bathrooms were filthy, no toilet paper and mold growing inside of the soap dispensers! NOT KOA level!

Everything was fantastic. The campgrounds for clean and quiet! Having a pull through spot was fantastic! And the staff was super friendly! I only have two recommendations. One is to change out the soap in the women’s restroom dispensers. They look super gross. Other than that, perfect!

What a nice campground! From the office staff to Daniel, who helped us with propane, everyone was super-nice and kept everything in terrific condition. Easy access to Dinosaur National Monument, Flaming Gorge and, of course, the town of Vernal.

Very nice staff. I had a low tire on my truck and they went out of there way to help me air it up. The bath house in the main building and by the pool need remodeling. Would stay there again for sure.

We were told this was the best spot we reserved online our site had NO shade trees around us were dead. Went to front desk where he told us very rudely the shady spots were reserved they stayed open till our last night,never staying here again

Site was nice and large, and staff was friendly. Couldn't fill my propane tank as no staff was certified to use the fill station. Back of campground is full time residents and it lokked a bit rough. Not a bad place just looked a bit run down compared to most koa's we've stayed in. Lots to do in Vernal, great place to stop.

Everything was fine except that our site, which was considered a premium site, lacked cable TV hookup. In the third decade of the 21st century a "full hookups" site without cable TV is unacceptable. Other sites in the campground had cable hookups, so we felt like second class campers, especially since we paid a premium rate for our site.

It's very nice and clean. A great place to stay when your in Vernal if you have an RV. Will definitely stay here again.

Very nice campground. We loved it. We stayed in a back-in spot and it was great. The campground was quiet at night. We enjoyed the pool. And it's near to the Dinosaur National Monument. I highly recommend this KOA.

Vernal is probably the friendliest town in Utah. This was a summer 2-night stay between CO and points further west. Location is good, and the park definitely caters to families - lots of activities for the kids here. Nice pool, ultra clean restroom facilities, and a selection of different parking locations. The park is a bit dated, and needs some TLC in a few areas; otherwise, a solid choice.

The campground needs some TLC. It is clean but showing its age. Areas that were once probably grass are now mowed weeds.

Our site had 0 shade and had the sun beating down on us without relief. The bathrooms weren’t very clean and the employees weren’t the nicest people. The place was a bit rundown even for a KOA. There was a family reunion the dominanted the commons area for their selfs and would run off anyone that tried to use the area for games and other activities since they used the entire area for their us

Traveling with my son and his family in 2 campers. Stayed here because of all the things for my granddaughter to do. Staff was very nice and very accommodating. Would definitely stay again if I’m in the area.

Great place! Kiddos had a blast. When the power went out in our site, we were so kindly moved to a new site, given firewood and free ice cream for our trouble. We so appreciated it!

Great stop for us. Just decided to break up our trip and found this awesome location. Got to visit the Dinosaur National Monument and touched real Dinosaur bones! Amazing things to do for our two boys.

The Wi-Fi at the place was totally intermittent and never could stream anything. Couldn’t use satelite tv because of the trees were to thick and in the way.

Everything was great with exception to the pool. It would be nice if it was heated. My kids could only tolerate being in for 20 minutes before they wanted to come out.

Always a good place to stay, camp host is super friendly, pool is great for the kids, showers and bathrooms cleaned daily which is fantastic. We’ve stayed before and will continue to come back.

this was our second year staying at the KOA in Vernal, we absolutely love the people and the grounds, the only thing i would like to see improved would be the grass at each RV spot, we stayed in site 15 and there is no grass which creates tons of dirt getting into our trailer. if grass is an issue maybe put down gravel. Thank you again for an awesome 7 day stay.

Generally a great stay but, as with most KOA sites we have visited, intermittent wi-fi. The restroom door also failed to lock much to the shock of an American child 🤣 Great location to explore the surrounding area. We loved the Moon Arch which was only a few miles out of town. The shop has a fantastic set of about 20 walks that you can take of the surrounding area. Vernal itself was a nice town and we enjoyed our best, and cheapest, meal there at Betty's Cafe.

The site layout is pretty good with plenty of space. Only 2 complaints were the distance to the bathrooms and the back border of the campsite being a rusty Barbed Wire fence, wouldn't be too great for kids to get tangled up in.
