This is a great place for families with kids. There are a ton of great activities for kids that will keep them activity and have them exhausted by the end of the day. For those of us without children, there is no lot to do. The spaces are pretty tight. The fire rings are not in great shape and are in weird places for some of the sites. There is not much to do locally.

Very poorly kept KOA. Showers filthy, mold on the walls Water did not drain out of shower. Very poor lighting in a room with no windows. No paper towel, no hooks to hang towels and no heat. etc. Peacocks were beautiful but squawked all night. This KOA is very overpriced, for amenities it does not have. No wifi, no cable tv, dirt roads, and dirt campsites. Very poorly maintained KOA.

Camp was ok, but why is the dump where people check in.. stupid.......... also people on the top road had a fire within 2 feet of bushes.......... where was the staff?

We have nothing but KUDOS for your staff members who ran the rock climbing wall Sunday--they have the best personalities and were so attentive, personable, and accommodating for all the kids and families participating. All 5 kids in our combined families (ages 4-14) had a great time!

The campground and RV sites were very nice and well kept but the bathrooms and showers were in very poor shape. The showers were dirty with black mould on the shower curtains and there was a cigarette butt left in a wash basin for days. The bathrooms were clearly not cleaned every day and this is unacceptable.

Great trip as always! This is one of our favorite campgrounds that we try to go to at least once a year, maybe more if possible. Very friendly staff who make your experience even more enjoyable.

This place is a fun quiet camping. From us coming in ( the manager Jannel will do everything she can to make us happy) And at the front desk Carol will great you with a smile and professionalism Thank you Ventura Rach to make our stay without no stress.

People at the desk were helpful and welcoming. Loved the peacocks and environment. Found the bathrooms and showers to be lacking - dingy, poor drainage in the shower I used, unable to adjust water temperature.

The one thing I dont like about your koa is that we cannot lock a site. We traveled with 3 groups of friends and all pf us ended up in different areas of the rv parks. It is a long walk to each section so we ended up having to walk 5 minutes back and forth multiple times and never spent any time in our site.

The staff were all phenomenal and kind. Location was beautiful. The site did not have enough power to run our camper and charge our battery. When everyone turned on their heat at night it bogged down our electric and kicked off our fridge. We lost all our food one evening while traveling. The staff was gracious, and allowed us to run our generator in the evening. Sadly, we will not return.

Always love the resort. Plenty to do on site with Zips and hikes. Wish there were more full hook-up sites. The peacocks are amazing, though a little loud...LOL.

We love staying at Ventura Ranch KOA. It is our go to weekend getaway spot. It has a nice calm and quiet atmosphere that helps reset after the work week. My kids like the activities on Saturdays and my son loves spotting the peacocks all over. The employees are always very helpful, nice, and friendly. This campground is the reason we joined KOA Rewards, because we knew we'd be back a bunch!

Our site was not cleaned after the previous occupant. Cigarette butts, discarded gloves stuffed in a bollard next to the utilities and other bits of trash. You can do better for the fee you charge.

Dog mess on pitches. No laundry facilities as they have burn down! Also owners wanted to charge me for a extra night because its a 2 night minimum. We did book for a week but left the morning after we booked in they should have given me a refund for the only night we stayed not try and charge you more. DON'T STAY HERE !!!!!!

Good morning I stayed here for a number of days I found the facilities especially showers and bathrooms were filthy and not A lot of maintenance done roads and some walkways we're in disrepair During the heavy rains roadways need swells and underground culvert pipe and use stone riffraff inch and a half 2 inch build the swells away from the road edge not directly next to the road Use rock

Internet did not work the entire time we were there, the WiFi was there but without internet! On top of that there was no cable TV, the cables in the box we're cut and removed! This required us to use our limited Hotspot data! There was pieces of trash everywhere you looked, on the road entering the park, in the bushes, and just laying around! Traffic speeds were not obeyed in the park as well!

We had a family in Pine campsite #1 who were rude, loud, disrespectful and disregarded all quiet times, with whistling beating cans, fireworks, after three nights of this we did not extend our stay. Each night we contacted the after hours number to complain. To my knowledge nothing was done or said to the campsite #1. I contacted the sherifs department they explained to settle with campground ma

Despite the rain which KOA can not control our stay was amazing! The exceptional staff is always there to help. Special thanks to Scottie who made my wife's idea of having pizza while camping possible. See you all in the spring!

Campsite 37 was a complete muddy mess during one day of rain. This site gets runoff and downhill drainage from the Birch loop. It really needs some gravel added especially in winter months. Or a cement pad. I was with my family and their three sites were also a muddy mess. It’s unfortunate. The playground area is great! Kids lived the jumping pillow.

The park has a lot of potential. Re-graveling the sites would be nice to reduce mud that develops when it rains. We stayed in a patio site but most of the pavers were under dirt. This should be cleaned regularly to keep this from happening.

Our stay was stupendous! We can't remember the names of the entire staff we encountered but "great" began with Carol! Alexis & Sarah, too! The store is filled with things you need & things you'll love. The site was fantastic. The grounds are gorgeous & well maintained. Can't say enough about the staff. And love the peacocks & hens!! One of our best CG's! Be back soon! Great location close to Ventura Harbor, Ojai & downtown Santa Paula.!

This was our second visit to this RV campground. The place is so relaxing and peaceful. There are cool peacocks roaming, the staff is incredibly nice and friendly and the store/ office is open late if you need something.
