We have stayed many times at Ventura Ranch KOA. It's always been enjoyable with a friendly staff. On this recent stay I was disappointed with the Clubhouse showers. We showered on Saturday night and there was NO hot water. The water from the sink faucets were also cold the entire time.

Súper friendly staff. We camped for my daughter’s birthday with her friends. Lexi was so nice getting the ropes course reserved. The staff at the ropes course were so good with the kids. Thank you!

Beautiful site with great facilities. Everything was clean. The pool was very welcome. A special mention to Kate on reception who was very welcoming and always helpful. Pity zip wires etc not operating when we stayed and didn't find the water hole!

Very pretty area. Nice, large pool. Staff is always friendly. Seems like some of the amenities advertised aren't open. The campsite described as large and good for a family that I reserved was actually small. You don't get a specific site when you reserve.

Looks like good place for families with children. Many activities for kids. BUT, I was extremely disappointed with bathrooms and showers. We stayed 3 nights and I am certain that they were never cleaned during the 3 days. I saw the same cigarette ashes on the floor all 3 days. This KOA did not meet the standard I expect in a KOA.

Despite repeated reports of minor maintenance requested it was never performed. The Clubhouse shower and bathroom were the main concern. No lights were available for the stairs, the light over the entry to the bathroom door not working, and showers were very poor. From left to right. The Ventura Ranch staff advertise Wi-Fi, however, when we couldn’t get a signal anywhere in the property and asked the staff for assistance, they replied that we shouldn’t expect to have Wi-Fi while camping. We were unable to keep in touch with our patients at the property and drove in to town to respond to patient needs. We recommend that the Ventura Ranch staff do not advertise Wi-Fi.

We love Ventura Ranch KOA! We stay here often. We love the campground and especially the pool. We love the staff and all the activities that are offered. There is so much for the kids to do as well as the adults. We’ll be back soon!!

What a magical getaway! Staff at this KOA are friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the pool and creek which was perfect on the warmer days. The campground has a lot for kids to do.

As much as the camp site offers lots of activities for the kids, it was not a pleasant stay for us.This is the first time we’ve been asked to turn off our music at 4pm. It wasn’t even loud music! It was understandable if it’s quiet hours but it wasn’t so it was weird.So if you want to stay here,be prepared to whisper amongst yourselves and listen to music at headphone level(said one of the

In just two visits this KOA has become one of our favorite places for a short and close getaway. Minutes away from the beach and Ojai. Friendly staff and dozens of peacocks to enjoy walking through your camp site.

This place is absolutely beautiful but our issue was any time we turned a radio on and it was not loud at all, we were very respectful not 1st time campers someone came over to tell us to turn it down or off. It was 4 o’clock on Saturday & apparently the owner was coming on site and the guy from the front came over and told us he doesn’t like music you need to turn it off. Wth! Come on!

It is a nice KOA, but the rules are a little extreme. You couldn't play music. Our music wasn't even loud. You could only hear it in our campground and we were told it was too loud. Fires had to be extinguished at 9:00 p.m. Our group was told we had several complaints about noise and the only thing that was happening in our spot was people talking. Everyone around the campsite, were with us.

It was not a good experience for us and our friends. Staff warned us couple of times and threatened us that sheriff will be involved if it happens again. The next day, our friends were told to quiet down at around 4pm even if it was not quiet hour yet! And let me tell you the bathrooms and showers, just gross! Will not be coming back to this place for sure! Was really turned off by everything!

Front desk was very friendly. They even called to notify me a full hook up site became available. Woo hoo! Bathrooms were cleaned and well stocked. And my family enjoyed the recreational activities

Absolutely wonderful! We stayed in our RV in the Alder sites. The playground, bounce pillow and pool were all big hits with my 3-year-old. My favorite part was walking down to the creek and catching frogs. It was fun to swim in the creek and explore the trails. The store was great and we bought a little Davey Crocket hat and ice cream for my son. We did not try the zip line but it looks awesome.

A nice park, but I'd like to see fewer live-ins (some of them have junk/trash around their sites). I also think the individual sites need better cleaning/maintenance. For example, our firepit was almost overflowing with ashes when we arrived.

We liked the campground. Our site had little shade, but we appreciate the option to choose your site so we will definitely plan a weekend when the shady sites are available. The only negative is there is a lot of traffic, but strange traffic with people driving back and forth all day. It was very suspicious and was not relaxing. Again choosing a more secluded site will prevent that.

Great KOA activities IF you're there on the right days/times. The treetop ropes course isn't open Sunday, Monday or Wednesday, & only in the morning on the days it is open. Restrooms up top (birch, alder, pine) need more cleaning & spider removal (so many!) Steps & path from top camp spots down to pool level need cut back/cleared of weeds, branches (dangerous). Friendly staff! Good stay overall!

Rustic and relaxing but also run-down. The bathrooms are a sider-filled nightmare. The showers wreak of mold so bad that it led to gagging and coughing--unusable. Some sites have full hookups but it seems random--difficult to plan where you'd want to stay in the park. Some full-time almost-homeless living in RVs. Lots of activities for kids--but most weren't actually working. Not the best.

Our site was not cleaned prior to our arrival. BBQ was full of charred wood debris, the table $cars were dirty. The gravel parking area was 70% dirt. Not what we are accustomed to at a KOA. Great location

We really enjoyed our stay and all the amenities you offered. Pool was great. The play area for kids was very nice to. We had an extra plus that there was water in the river close by, where we spent some time! However the bathrooms were Very dirty and never cleaned during our stay. Overall a nice place

Quite, staff very helpful, clean, everyone was friendly, bathrooms clean. We stayed in site Pine 1, it was a hot spot no trees, no shade, so the only time we can spend time outside was in the evening. Even the mornings it was warm, but luckily for the actives and pool we managed to cool down. Outside was mid 90's. We will be back

Staff was great, but some of the common areas were overgrown, grassy areas not maintained, dying grass. Large piles of dirt and rocks near pool / jumping pillow and random construction materials and equipment around the whole campground that looked more permanent than something actually being done. Old trash around all dumpsters and along roads. Bathrooms could of been cleaner too.

Our stay was stupendous! We can't remember the names of the entire staff we encountered but "great" began with Carol! Alexis & Sarah, too! The store is filled with things you need & things you'll love. The site was fantastic. The grounds are gorgeous & well maintained. Can't say enough about the staff. And love the peacocks & hens!! One of our best CG's! Be back soon! Great location close to Ventura Harbor, Ojai & downtown Santa Paula.!

This was our second visit to this RV campground. The place is so relaxing and peaceful. There are cool peacocks roaming, the staff is incredibly nice and friendly and the store/ office is open late if you need something.
