Great place to camp.love the peacocks. Shower house and bathrooms are a little dirty but showers have amazing pressure and hot water. Would definitely stay again.

We love coming every October for the Halloween festivities. The kids have so much fun dressing in their costumes and trick or treating. My husband loves decorating our campsite for the contest. We have won a first place, a couple of second place and a fifth place. I was there for the anniversary of my husband's passing. The staff was so kind to us and accommodating to make sure we had the best stay. Everyone from maintenence to customer service. Just felt like family

Friendly and professional staff. However, camping area is run down—trees overgrown and blocking large rigs, site pads not easily accessed due to inches of dirt covering asphalt, poor leveling of terraced sites which looks like mud/debris flows over many years, sites not cleaned and prepped between occupants. Peacocks root around in trash left on sites.

Trick or Treating with the kids in October is always fun. We were again disappointed that after years of coming that the playground equipment is still in disrepair. The slides have been broken and boarded up for 2, if not 3 years now. Emailed in regarding this and get no response. Disappointing to say the least.

I had a great time. I would recommend adding electric bikes / scooters or golf carts to rent. A simple concrete area for basketball. Shaded canopy for games, ping pong tables, simple lawn games.

A suggestion would be to encourage campers to decorate their camp sites and participate in the trick or treating by advertisement of a prize. Another suggestion would be to have a pumpkin carving contest.

We had the best time. Our cabin was amazing (sadly we tried to re-book again for the next year but it was already filled up). We had a great time zip lining, adventuring, enjoying everything your camp had to offer. The spooky walk was AMAZING - they did a fantastic job of putting it all together. It was so fun! Thank you for all you did to make our stay fantastic.

The place is great overall, but public bathrooms and showers were not cleaned daily and pop bags for dogs were out at almost all stations. If daily maintenance was kept up this could be 5 stars. The activities for kids was great, jumping pillow was extremely crowded and hopefully the bike track opens back up.

We booked our reservation and had a spot reserved and when we got there they had moved my site and I wanted to pull through they said because I didn’t pay $25 to hold it they gave it to somebody else nobody ever mentioned $25 to hold it I was pretty disappointed other people we were camped with got their sites moved without any notification and they paid their $25 and they were very mad also I t

We have been to this campground even before it became a KOA. The property is so unkept. The grass in sites needs to be mowed. You can't check in until 1:00 so the sites can be attended to for the next camper. This is NOT done. We had the same site for two years and the same broken outside table was still on the site. What you charge for with no full hook-ups sites should be cleaner. SHAME ON YOU

The campground is great but there was a mix up on our reservation. That said the park is rest was fantastic and we will stay again hopefully in the right cabin. Well maintained and just beautiful surroundings.

Everything was great just what we were expecting except for the Halloween activities. Wish we would have known could have been more prepared to participate even though we have no small children.

Great place for kids, not for adults. Cable not repaired since fire and no antenna nor satellite signal. Needed it to drown out all day screaming from kids running through our site. Parents were out of control. Otherwise lots to do for kids.

Staff and the overall campground and amenities are nice. A good variety of things to do for kids if you're there in peak season or weekends in the off season. Probably a good idea to call & talk to staff about what what sites are like when you book. In my opinion, the southeastern outer edge sites aren't as nice, hence likely the less expensive ones.

Lovely stay in a well-appointed luxury cabin. We had a full kitchen available as well as a full bathroom with shower. The view out our windows was amazing. And having all the local wildlife visits was fun (the rooster sleeping on our porch, all the peacocks and their babies, wild hares too). Will definitely be back! Thank you!

The staff is great at check in. From answering questions over the phone and helping out in person. The toilets in the tent sites were very clean. I do think the tent sites are a bit pricy for what they are. I understand there’s a lot of amenities but still a tad too expensive for an empty tent site. We would come more often if the price was cheaper

Bathrooms were dirty and full of spiderwebs. The sites were overgrown with tall grass and leaves everywhere. They charge resort prices for an unkept KOA.

Loved the KOA. Didn’t enjoy the loud group around us that took all the tables including ours. TeePees were awesome.

Need to trim the trees to allow RV to pass. One of the shower has diarrhea on the floor. Trash in the swimming area is not picked up daily.

My wife and I had a great time camping at Ventura Ranch Koa!!! There is so much to do there! We hiked all over your whole park!!! We were woke up every morning by the big red rooster that my wife called "Chicken Soup"!!!! Who doesn't like being woken at 5:30/ 6:00 am every morning while camping!!!!! The peacocks were a big joy having around begging for food!!! was

We are KOA Workampers. Nice place. Wish we weren’t next to the restroom. my fault didn’t look at the map lol Looks good otherwise. Could use the sites prepped a little better before you check in maybe your under staffed? Would like to work there and help out someday. Left some painted rocks.. thank you

This KOA is so beautifully maintained and has such get activities for the kids to do. The zipline was my boys favorite and my little one loved the jumping pillow! They can't wait to go back. I highly recommend! The staff was super nice too!

It was our first time at Ventura ranch koa, we had heard a lot of good things about this specific campground and it did not disappoint. We had a great full hook up site, great neighbors and the entire place was amazing. Lots of activities for my son. We will definitely be coming back.

Such a lovely campground. I loved all the options regarding places to stay. We had ants in our sink and I was a little worried about the cleanliness of the sheets... but all in all, a great time! Staff is very helpful.

NOTE: zero for recommendation question only because I have no family or friends to recommend to. Marvellous quiet site with fantastic scenery all around and easy access to the main road between Los Angeles and Ventura. The only negative was the absence of a laundry (at least, none was shown on the site map or evident on our walks) and limited shop stock (apart from a good range of souvenirs)

Me and my family had amazing time very clean lots of activities for all we stayed in a teepee we enjoyed it very much from obstacle coarse to rock wall and much more also like to mention the staff very helpful and friendly we will be coming back soon thank everyone for great time

We upgraded to a site with a patio but there were no table/chairs & the ground was rocky. Other patio sites nearby had pavers w/ table/chairs. The path to the bathroom/showers were unkept & no cleaning of bathroom/showers took place while we were there. The bathroom sink faucets were unusable with only cold water & high pressure when it came on to splash everywhere w/ no paper towels to clean up.

Our stay was stupendous! We can't remember the names of the entire staff we encountered but "great" began with Carol! Alexis & Sarah, too! The store is filled with things you need & things you'll love. The site was fantastic. The grounds are gorgeous & well maintained. Can't say enough about the staff. And love the peacocks & hens!! One of our best CG's! Be back soon! Great location close to Ventura Harbor, Ojai & downtown Santa Paula.!

This was our second visit to this RV campground. The place is so relaxing and peaceful. There are cool peacocks roaming, the staff is incredibly nice and friendly and the store/ office is open late if you need something.
