Campground Reviews

This was our 5th stay at this park. The staff is very friendly, amenities are great, and picking the fruit from the trees is always something we look forward to. We’ve decided to book a seasonal stay for next winter and can’t wait.

We had 3 dogs and 3 kids with us. We were a little worried about staying in a campground. But, you had all the extras for the kids and dogs! We loved our stay and we will be back!

Everything was great. The activities for St. Patrick's Day were very fun. Our granddaughter had a spectacular time. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed the weekend as well. We have been here several times and will continue to come. I do have to say that I thought the prices at the restaurant were a bit out of line but I know that's out of your control. Thank you for a great weekend.

Was not able to enjoy relaxing in the heated spa, parents would bring small children into the spa and they would play and splash.

Love Lazydays KOA. Great facility, great people and fun playing pickleball and meeting new people. The Trivia night was a blast and the grapefruit, oranges and lemons were an unexpected bonus. We will be back next year.

One of the best KOA Resort we have stayed at. Friendly courteous employees. Warm pools, clean facilities, and a restaurant. Wow! The bonus is the lemons and grapefruit. We will be back.

Overall love Lazy Days. However, it is disappointing the gym equipment is always broken.

Just spent 1 night on the way through Tucson and really enjoyed our stay. Park is clean and staff is very friendly. Dog Park near our site had grass so our dog enjoyed that too. Was nice having an onsite restaurant to grab dinner. For sure would stay again.

Loved the deck/patio site & would stay there again. Nice park with lots of activities & things to do. Only negative critique is park & patio needs to be sprayed for weeds-quite a few were popping up.

We love the camp. The staff are terrific. It’s so nice to have fresh fruit from the trees. The cycling is unbelievable with the Hucklebury Loop close by. We e reserved 2 months next year.

Awesome spring break stay! We had a great time! Lots to do to keep 3 teenage boys busy.

Space was very nice, love the Kiva fire place and the patio furniture! Noisy with road noice but understand you can do nothing about that.

This is one of the best KOA properties we have stayed at. This was my second stay here and I would highly recommend it to anyone. Great staff and clean restrooms. There are plenty of activities to do here. Quiet and real nice sites.

Have stayed here multiple times and it is always a pleasure.

The grounds were beautifully maintained, the sites were nicely spaced and easy to get in and out of. Our 2 boxers loved the big dog park! We will plan to stay here the next time we visit Tucson!

You charged me 145 dollars for a back in site, I can stay at a motel for less than that. I have a thought to call KOA and complain about price gouging.

We had a beautiful site and the staff is very helpful and friendly. I would suggest that the laundry needs improvement. I was there twice and there were three washers and four dryers out of service both times. It made for a very busy laundry.

The Park is huge, but spotless with great amenities. We had a site that included a patio, fireplace and a dog park all to herself! We would definitely stay again. Many family activities and we had an awesome time.

It’s just not my type of thing, too many people and kids screaming and sprinting around through the street and jumping on electrical equipment without adults present. Walked by dried dog poop on the street several times and we were given a campsite right next to the highway so it was very hard to sleep at night. Loud neighbors, and it was $5.00 to wash a load of clothes.

Our stay was wonderful! To be able to enjoy the pool in the middle of March, without going to Mexico or Hawaii, is a wonderful advantage. This is such a great park with ample space in each site and nice wide streets. Everything is clean and well maintained. We love the citrus trees and enjoyed the grapefruit and lemons. Shout out to the great service from Mary in BBQ Rush. Great food too!

Noisy traffic and aircraft.

having vendors keep extra trailers at their sit in addition to their RV blocks the view of other guests. as you have lots of storage, there is no reason for this. It truly spoiled what would have been a great stay at your park.

Been coming here for a couple years and in most areas they shine. Some of these activities might be seasonal, we were there Feb-Mar 2024, so keep that in mind. Spacious sites and most are level, cable tv available but pretty basic(no Golf or Hallmark/GAC channels), fruit trees(orange, lemon, grapefruit) that you can pick from, two pools with hot tubs, a restaurant on-site with generally decent food, two laundry rooms(which sometimes get crowded and there are usually machines down for maintenance), a fitness center with treadmills/bikes/rowing machines & dumbbell weights(thanks go to the slimeball who stole 1-30lb dumbbell around the middle of Feb-it made me up my weight), basic pickleball court, and two sets of bathrooms with showers. Park is kept really clean by the crew patrolling in golf carts continually during the day. Sunday pancakes w/ sausage for $ was good, but even better when they switched back to blueberries versus chocolate chips. The staff handling that were great & fun! Donuts/snacks on Thursday's were also fun. They charged a $1 for a donut this year but no big deal as far as I was concerned. Previous yrs saw the young, & yes some old, take advantage of the free ones. There were also plenty of crafty things going on, along with Trivia every so often in the restaurant. Couple downers this year and one was Bingo. Previous years they had cash payout for winning, this year it was a ‘Mystery Prize' that you got when spinning the wheel. Half hour bike rental, 6 wings, etc. We attended one time to see what it was, and never went back. Used to fill two rooms, with maybe 8-10 tables, approx. 8 people at each table. The time we went there was one room, couple tables, not filled. Used to be a fun social get-together. Heard the money all went to their Kare Camp fund, which is a great cause. But from what I understand, the fund got half of the proceeds from previous years. With attendance down, I wonder if they made more or less this year. Another downer was realizing that deposits & site picks for next year had increased 5 times from the previous year! That's a lot of MY money for KOA to be sitting on for a year. Also, water was shutoff three different times for maintenance. They did warn everyone days in advance, so use of your fresh water tank was imperative. Felt sorry for the tent campers though. Water out meant bathrooms closed too. They were fixing leaks. Gates are closed & guarded at night. There is some noise. Two busy streets, one International Airport, one Air Force Base, and train tracks, can disturb the light sleeper. Propane refill is offered. Last I heard, motorhomes go to them, they do not come to your site. Plenty of dog areas are offered all over the park. Heard some yippers on/off. Plan on going back again but hope some things change back the way they were. Seemed to be a lot less comradery this year.

This is a pretty epic KOA. They have all the usual amenities like on-site 24hr laundry room, and clean bathrooms, but they go way beyond that with TWO pools, many solar panel shaded RV spots, gorgeous landscaping including fruit trees (intoxicating scent when blooming). Also lots of activities going on here, fire pits to hang out around, “train” rides, three kinds of little pedaler cars to rent for fun. We had a great time here.
