The campground as a whole is def 5 star however our gravel site was way out of level by nearly 6 inches side to side. With manual leveling devices we spent nearly 30 minutes on hands and knees to adjust for this. We would stay here again but hoped for a more level site from this caliber KOA.

It’s one of the cleanest rv resorts we’ve stayed. Lots of activities for families and very dog friendly. I like the sites with dog pens. We ate at the BBQ Rush restaurant in the RV park and the food was fabulous! That said, the guy in the yellow and black plaid shirt was rude and unhelpful. This is what I’ll remember. He set the tone for your facility. Otherwise you would have 5 stars.

This was our 5 th stay at Tucson Lazy Days. And we have booked again for next year. We really enjoy the location and the variety of site types. Our only concern is the quality of staff services. Staff seemed cranky and unaccommodating in several instances this year. Hope it’s a passing thing!

Nice spot, love the fruit trees and dog park. Traffic noise is a little high

We make a trip somewhere in the late winter months and Tucson was on our list for 5 or 6 years. We have noticed a decline in the area and the resort over the last couple of years, so we have decided not to make our normal 12 to 15 days stay and go somewhere else. We may check in for a short stay and see if thing have improved.

We always look forward to staying at Tucson/Lazydays KOA! Even though we don’t participate in the activities that are offered (because we are busy with our family that we are visiting) we enjoy seeing the variety and quality of things to do! We also love the cleanliness of the grounds, as well the many amenities.

Some great sites in this park but unfortunately we did not get one. Site 1477 is a premium site with fenced area for pets, firepit and patio table and chairs. However it was so tight that we could not walk down either side of our coach due to the fence on our site and the adjacent site. This site should never be rented to any rv with slides on both sides. We stayed in Dutch Star 4369 motorhome.

Highly recommend this place! Clean, lots to do, friendly staff, would come back.

Kitchen equipment left a lot to be desired. Couldn't really cook much. No mixing, serving bowls... Hair dryer broken. Clock cord (which we didn't use anyway) was cut, dangerous. BBQ was very dirty greasy and started a grease fire. Couldn't use it but the one time.

We didn’t know we booked site next to dog pen area. 4 beagles howled all night long. Check in was long line after 5 pm. We parked clear around the building and walked in the rain. Front desk seemed tired and rushed us through. Sad that the weather was pouring down rain, we booked the corner site with patio and fire pit and couldn’t even use it.

I was pleased and disappointed to receive texts detailing the days activities. Notices a day or two before would probably result in more participation from campers. Many male showers stalls at the north end seem to be missing a shelf and the sinks are too tall to be used by children. Access to the lake is difficult for handicapped. Sure wish a KOA was between Lazydays and Picacho.

We only stayed a few days over Easter but we found the park very nice and clean, sites were large and easy to back into. The lemon and grapefruit trees were beautiful. The dog park was the only disappointment as it was basically a drainage basin and was unusable after it rained.

Staff very friendly and helpful, loved that the trash was picked up from our site every day as well as recycling plus having a restaurant on site and they planned many daily events...loved the place

This is by far the nicest KOA we have ever stayed at, and that history goes back to the 80’s when our kids were young. It rivals, and in cases surpasses the accommodations at some resorts, minus the senior citizens activities. This is at least our 3rd stay here, and we will be back again.
Apr 03, 2024
Wonderful RV place with lots to offer. As we use the shower facilities, we don’t rate KOA’s the top but the rest is top notch.

This year we experienced some changes that were not to our liking. Barking dogs were all over this year. Many campers did nothing to control it. Way too many people did not pick up after their dogs, in spite of the park making it super easy with bags and dumping stations. The park completely ruined bingo for us by taking away cash prizes but still charging the same amount to play.

It is evident that the manager is at fault for the gloomy atmosphere with the staff and clientele.

We thoroughly loved our first stay at Tucson Lazydays KOA. The reception staff were so friendly and accommodating. We'll be back!

Excellent stay. Clean well maintained campground. Many activities available all day for children and adults. Would stay again.

Friendly staff, very clean, and lots of activities for families. Loved staying here and would definitely come back.

This was probably the biggest campground that I’ve ever stayed at, but it was very quiet (except for a few barking dogs) but it was exceptionally clean. I really appreciated the trash pick up which was very often. The registration staff and front office staff were very personable as well as helpful. We stayed 5 days and we will return in the future. There were a lot of things to do.

We stayed 5 nights and pretty much did nothing but relax! Love the dog park for our puppies who were on their first camping trip!! Everyone is friendly and nice and we can't wait to return again.

We had a great time running the RC track and visiting the pool area. We enjoyed sitting by the fire at night and playing pickle ball as well. There is a lot to do and it is a very well-kept property.

It was a great 2 nights. For our was awesome and the fruit trees were amazing

Nice KOA, clean, things taken care of. WIFI is really poor can't even do emails.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Thank you so much for your feedback. Good news, upgraded Wifi is in the works! We are so happy you enjoyed your stay otherwise. Safe travels!

We were staying for a number of months. The WIFI was mediocre at best, terrible at the worst. Can’t believe that KOA has done nothing over the years to improve this vital service. It is impossible to maintain Video contact with family while staying at this park. Other smaller, KOA journeys and holidays have much better 5 g service. Why does this Resort park not have it?

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Thank you for taking the time to give us your feedback. The good news is that upgraded Wifi is slated for the very near future! Safe travels!

Wonderful pools & hot tubs. Great campsites!

Very nice park. Clean, safe, great amenities for our dogs. Lemon trees were full and we were able to pick them to make lemon drop martinis! Only downside was Wi-fi disappointing. Very weak. Could not stream direct tv, Netflix, etc. Will have to invest in a signal boost device for our RV for next trip.

Been coming here for a couple years and in most areas they shine. Some of these activities might be seasonal, we were there Feb-Mar 2024, so keep that in mind. Spacious sites and most are level, cable tv available but pretty basic(no Golf or Hallmark/GAC channels), fruit trees(orange, lemon, grapefruit) that you can pick from, two pools with hot tubs, a restaurant on-site with generally decent food, two laundry rooms(which sometimes get crowded and there are usually machines down for maintenance), a fitness center with treadmills/bikes/rowing machines & dumbbell weights(thanks go to the slimeball who stole 1-30lb dumbbell around the middle of Feb-it made me up my weight), basic pickleball court, and two sets of bathrooms with showers. Park is kept really clean by the crew patrolling in golf carts continually during the day. Sunday pancakes w/ sausage for $ was good, but even better when they switched back to blueberries versus chocolate chips. The staff handling that were great & fun! Donuts/snacks on Thursday's were also fun. They charged a $1 for a donut this year but no big deal as far as I was concerned. Previous yrs saw the young, & yes some old, take advantage of the free ones. There were also plenty of crafty things going on, along with Trivia every so often in the restaurant. Couple downers this year and one was Bingo. Previous years they had cash payout for winning, this year it was a ‘Mystery Prize' that you got when spinning the wheel. Half hour bike rental, 6 wings, etc. We attended one time to see what it was, and never went back. Used to fill two rooms, with maybe 8-10 tables, approx. 8 people at each table. The time we went there was one room, couple tables, not filled. Used to be a fun social get-together. Heard the money all went to their Kare Camp fund, which is a great cause. But from what I understand, the fund got half of the proceeds from previous years. With attendance down, I wonder if they made more or less this year. Another downer was realizing that deposits & site picks for next year had increased 5 times from the previous year! That's a lot of MY money for KOA to be sitting on for a year. Also, water was shutoff three different times for maintenance. They did warn everyone days in advance, so use of your fresh water tank was imperative. Felt sorry for the tent campers though. Water out meant bathrooms closed too. They were fixing leaks. Gates are closed & guarded at night. There is some noise. Two busy streets, one International Airport, one Air Force Base, and train tracks, can disturb the light sleeper. Propane refill is offered. Last I heard, motorhomes go to them, they do not come to your site. Plenty of dog areas are offered all over the park. Heard some yippers on/off. Plan on going back again but hope some things change back the way they were. Seemed to be a lot less comradery this year.

This is a pretty epic KOA. They have all the usual amenities like on-site 24hr laundry room, and clean bathrooms, but they go way beyond that with TWO pools, many solar panel shaded RV spots, gorgeous landscaping including fruit trees (intoxicating scent when blooming). Also lots of activities going on here, fire pits to hang out around, “train” rides, three kinds of little pedaler cars to rent for fun. We had a great time here.
