Campground Reviews

Very helpful and friendly staff. Clean facilities, spacious sites. As a "resort-style" KOA, it is very nice! Bathrooms are clean. Only downside is the men's showers need work. While they are clean and decent sized, check which ones have hot water BEFORE starting your shower. I had to check 4 showers before I found a hot one, and I was the only one in the shower! Shower heads leaked also. Fix 'em!

KOA always delivers. Tucson Lazydays is a perfect location and the amenities are above expectations.

Friendly staff except for the grumpy guys on golf carts.

A nice place but much more like being in a trailer park in a city. Which i guess is what it is. Staff and facilities are great. Light and noise are about the worst I've seen at a KOA. Like camping in a Walmart parking lot but less spacious. A good place with great people. Bottom of the list for space, quiet, light and relaxation. Glad I came but I will make better choices in the future.

We always enjoy this RV park. We did not get to spend much time in the park during this stay as we had a soccer tournament but still enjoyed everything about it and we left our RV in storage as we will be back in February. I do wish one of the buddy sites had a paw pen.

Very clean sites. Interior roads are easily accessible and smooth. Friendly staff and professional.

Very large, but quiet campground. Lots of neat amenities & very dog friendly. We stayed in a cabin & the only complaint I have is that I question the cleanliness, especially the flooring & some of the kitchen items. I would move the firepit over so it could accommodate seating all around it & not be so close to the tree. Overall we loved our stay here & the unique cabin layouts.

We have good memories about staying here in the past. This time I was disappointed by the dirty bathrooms.

We live in Tucson and stayed a weekend to test out our new rv. I was impressed with your level of service and activities as well as the beautiful grounds. I will definitely recommend you to our out of town friends!

Clean and lots to do, everyday.

Hosts were knowledgeable & friendly. Property & amenities were maintained beautifully. Site was spacious & long enough for 40’ RV w/ trailer attached and room to park car! And with LazyDays next door, we were able to arrange for minor body damage to be repaired!

I stayed here last year and, it was such a good experience, I wanted to bring my wife. We were not disappointed. The pull-through was level and well maintained . Shower/rest rooms was very clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I hope we can stay here again.

The Tucson KOA is a wonderful park and we even picked out a few sites we would request for our next stay there. We will be back!

We are so glad we stayed here! Super clean restrooms/showers, resort grounds are beautiful with all the fruit trees around and the constant employees zooming around made us feel like we could leave stuff out without worry. We played Bingo one night and my husband said "you know, I actually had fun playing Bingo"! I love all the activities that are available to the guests. A great place to stay!

Great koa but we were not informed when we arrived on the 8th that we would not have water after 7am on the9th. I was told at the office we would be compensated for the over sight and I assume we will since I have been a koa member for many years. We were in DC 8. Thanks for your attention Mauri Graham.

Maintenance is slipping. Power pedestal had a broken 50 amp receptacle, an inop 30 amp receptacle and an inop 15/20 amp receptacle. Water to the entire campground was shutdown for multiple leak repairs for one whole day during daylight hours. A better solution, if possible, would have been to isolate a portion of campground and fix one leak each day for less down time each day.

Second time I stayed here .. my site was no level. That’s not funt
Jan 14, 2024
The site was way too small for a 45 foot class a motorhome
Jan 13, 2024
Site was good. WiFi never worked from day one. I called the tech number and the office as well as following up a few days later only to be told they are working with Tengo to fix-never was fixed. Water was shut down 3 times during our stay-2x for almost whole day. In both laundry rooms, only 1/3 of the washers/dryers were working.

Stay was Magnificent!!!

Positives: level sites with adequate space. Two washroom areas and laundry rooms; lots of pet off leash areas. Restaurant Pickle ball & other outdoor games 3 propane heaters/seating Tiny library doggie poo bags all-day pick up of trash Negatives: unfriendly/ uncompromising staff Hot water slow in shower Pool unheated Lacking toilet paper Broken washers Firewood $

It is usually very good, but not being notified that the water was going to be shut off for the whole was not good.

Stayed at Tucson KOA site 1600 for our annual holiday stay successfully. Conveniently close to pool, dog park & playground. Suggest to leave more site/streets lights on at 6pm due to kids on bikes & dog walkers out on roads. In Dec. & Jan. it is dark at 6pm. Playground bark/stones are out on road causing walking & biking difficulties. Either sweep daily or contain. Staff great. We will be back!

Rude staff, dirty bathrooms, lack of maintenance.
Jan 11, 2024
Enjoyed our stay and was very convenient to everything.
Jan 11, 2024
Was disappointed that the water was shut off for an extended period of time. Was not notified at check in or via text/email. If was notified I could have prepared. Will be back in the future but notifying guests of repairs that will affect your stay should be constantly notified.

Clean, very considerate folks.
Jan 11, 2024
Excellent campground. Should be heat & hot water in the shower area. Unable to use the showers.
Jan 11, 2024
The dog paw pen was full of mud, the 2nd day we had no water for 10 hours without any prior notice, so even the clubhouse was inaccessible during that entire day. The wifi took a Philadelphia lawyer to figure out after 2 calls to tech support , and then it is so slow! One dog park i went to had too much poop. People need to clean up after their pets! The store candy was too costly and hard

Nice, safe, clean, and orderly RV park.

Loved everything about our stay would recommend this and would come back hands down

Always a great place to stay. Clean facilities. Don’t count on the Wi-Fi system, it will not handle the traffic, so have a good backup system, we use both star link and a data plan . Otherwise everything is perfect.

We love this place but the staff is not what it use to be. the phone isn't being answered. Some of the staff were not friendly. We were told that the management company changed so maybe the staff isn't being treated as well. Not sure, hope things get better.

Very nice facility. However, I was not informed about the water shut down via email or text. Luckily, I just happened by the office and read the small print notice on the door. This prevented me from extending our stay.

Everyone very nice and helpful. The grounds are clean, well arranged and easy to get around. I’ll be back.

Very clean, stay was to short, but it was nice

Love your place. One of our favorite RV parks. We’ll be back for sure. Thank you!
Jan 09, 2024
Very nice place, the back in spots against the wall have ALOT of road noise so next time I will request a different spot. The restraunt on site has good food but needs some upgrades inside.

Great experience and beautiful park. Staff was courteous and very helpful. Thank you so much. We would most certainly come back to Tucson KOA whenever we can and are in the area. First class facilities.

Enjoyed our stay - staff were very friendly and helpful when we asked to extend our stay for an extra 6 days. They tried their best to make it work on the site we were on, however, it just wouldn't work. We moved and are just as happy with the new site. The sites are huge, and easily accommodate our 40 foot coach and tow vehicle.

This was a very disappointing stay, we finally stayed in the cabin after having been at the location several times and LOVED it. The cabin bathroom was dirty (what looked like blood splattered all throughout the bathtub), couch bed was dirty so could not sleep on it, and none of the TVs worked. When I addressed with Shelley (GM) she was dismissive and rude. Very disappointing.

We really enjoyed our stay. In particular, Alex and Tonya were wonderful people to interact with. I won't lower my rating just because we ran into a few "salty" workers, including the GM. That kind of behavior doesn't belong at a KOA. It really is a great surprise bonus to have citrus trees all around the park. Nice big dog park, watch out for flooding after big rain days!

We really enjoy our camping experiences at this KOA. The staff is very friendly and everything is kept so clean.

Love this campground!!!! The paw pen is just fantastic and our dog really appreciated it! The campground itself is really well run with pretty much any amenity you could ask for. The restaurant was ok. They were very busy the night we ate there and the service and food were just so so. We felt kinda ignored while our server talked with everyone else.

Great RV park that is well maintained. Multiple nice dog parks!

nice place to stay

Coming in the person who lead us to the space wasn’t very nice an abandoned us part way to the site. We did mention it to the desk.

Been coming here for a couple years and in most areas they shine. Some of these activities might be seasonal, we were there Feb-Mar 2024, so keep that in mind. Spacious sites and most are level, cable tv available but pretty basic(no Golf or Hallmark/GAC channels), fruit trees(orange, lemon, grapefruit) that you can pick from, two pools with hot tubs, a restaurant on-site with generally decent food, two laundry rooms(which sometimes get crowded and there are usually machines down for maintenance), a fitness center with treadmills/bikes/rowing machines & dumbbell weights(thanks go to the slimeball who stole 1-30lb dumbbell around the middle of Feb-it made me up my weight), basic pickleball court, and two sets of bathrooms with showers. Park is kept really clean by the crew patrolling in golf carts continually during the day. Sunday pancakes w/ sausage for $ was good, but even better when they switched back to blueberries versus chocolate chips. The staff handling that were great & fun! Donuts/snacks on Thursday's were also fun. They charged a $1 for a donut this year but no big deal as far as I was concerned. Previous yrs saw the young, & yes some old, take advantage of the free ones. There were also plenty of crafty things going on, along with Trivia every so often in the restaurant. Couple downers this year and one was Bingo. Previous years they had cash payout for winning, this year it was a ‘Mystery Prize' that you got when spinning the wheel. Half hour bike rental, 6 wings, etc. We attended one time to see what it was, and never went back. Used to fill two rooms, with maybe 8-10 tables, approx. 8 people at each table. The time we went there was one room, couple tables, not filled. Used to be a fun social get-together. Heard the money all went to their Kare Camp fund, which is a great cause. But from what I understand, the fund got half of the proceeds from previous years. With attendance down, I wonder if they made more or less this year. Another downer was realizing that deposits & site picks for next year had increased 5 times from the previous year! That's a lot of MY money for KOA to be sitting on for a year. Also, water was shutoff three different times for maintenance. They did warn everyone days in advance, so use of your fresh water tank was imperative. Felt sorry for the tent campers though. Water out meant bathrooms closed too. They were fixing leaks. Gates are closed & guarded at night. There is some noise. Two busy streets, one International Airport, one Air Force Base, and train tracks, can disturb the light sleeper. Propane refill is offered. Last I heard, motorhomes go to them, they do not come to your site. Plenty of dog areas are offered all over the park. Heard some yippers on/off. Plan on going back again but hope some things change back the way they were. Seemed to be a lot less comradery this year.

This is a pretty epic KOA. They have all the usual amenities like on-site 24hr laundry room, and clean bathrooms, but they go way beyond that with TWO pools, many solar panel shaded RV spots, gorgeous landscaping including fruit trees (intoxicating scent when blooming). Also lots of activities going on here, fire pits to hang out around, “train” rides, three kinds of little pedaler cars to rent for fun. We had a great time here.
