Campground Reviews

Staff very helpful. More amenities than any other place we ever stayed. Restaurant onsite was surprisingly good. Very convenient to everything. We normally do state parks but needed something in the city due to car repairs, this place was perfect.

The facility is gorgeous and wonderful. The people, not so much! It was far more than the pretentiousness of the people staying in a “resort”the staff had a similar attitude. I received a 25% off discount via text and when I inquired about staying another night or two, was so uncomfortable with the responses that I nearly left that night. I’ve never been treated so poorly like I was homeless

This KOA is great! We’ve stayed twice now and will stay again. I’m only giving 4 stars because there were cigarette butts all over our camp site and the sewer connection pipes in the ground were broken (we did mention this to a maintenance person).

The park was well managed and impeccably maintained.

The stay was great—it’s an exceptional property. The only downside is something that has nothing to do with KOA at all and it was that the other campers weren’t particularly friendly. I’m more accustomed to state and national park campgrounds where people interact more. The only minor quibble is that while the parasols are nice, they interfere with Starlink and the free wifi isnt reliable

The sites are large, ( we have a 44 ft 5th wheel). The staff are friendly and helpful. The pool is lovely, with an umbrella over a section of it for shade. The laundry room was large, but half of the washers were out of order. There's a BBQ restaurant on site. We never tried it, but I heard it's good. We had a lemon tree beside our site, the lemons were AMAZING!

We probably would have given this a 5 star rating but the laundry facilities were a little dirty and several of the washers and dryers were out of order. Everything thing else was clean and tidy. Nice place, pretty easy in and out.

We've stayed here several times in the past 10 years. Nice Park citrus trees are great. Roads need some help, sites are deteriorating (mud coming through the gravel, too many long term living, some look like they have been there for years. All in all still pretty nice.

Easy to get to off/on of I-10. Large RV park, 2 pools, pet areas, BBQ restaurant among other amenities. A bit noisy due to the airport and freeways. Felt safe here. Will stay again but will pass on the restaurant.

I've stay there before, and it has been fine, but the surrounding area has gone way down hill, loud cars racing on the streets surrounding the park, homeless, airplanes and helicopters flying over plus the noise from the interstate, it doesn't make for a relaxing trip.

Your KOA was just what we needed before we headed down to a week at Organ Pipe Cactus Nat. Mon: charge up the batteries, dump the tanks, fill up with water, take a shower and do laundry!! We planned our stay at your place and we accomplished everything!! Beautiful park, clean and managed well. If we need your park again, we’ll be back!! Thanks so much and have a successful season!!

We are really here for three months, and this is the end of the first month. It is a great place, and we’ve already made a three month reservation for next year. One problem we’ve had is no fault of the site. There have been 2 days where the water needed to be shut off for the day to fix campground leaks. Plenty of notice was given, and it was well handled. Still an inconvenience, but well d

Always a great time at Lazy Days. The only thing I was disappointed with was that there were no buggy rides all weekend for the kids.

All was good except our road had some massive pot holes. Also very rough and dusty if anyone drove by at speed.

Great

Please add a rule stating all outside RV lights, save for perhaps a dim/orange porch light, must be off. It is incredibly annoying to sleep in a room that is brighter than day-time because the neighbor has hundreds of thousands of candle power shining into your coach. It also interferes with sitting by the campfire, watching TV etc. etc.

Bad attitude by management. At least 4 different occasions when us/one of our friends asked about a policy we were literally told if you dont like it leave the park. Pool was out of service for over 2 months. Got charged $10.00 to was my Jeep yet they had 4 different sites with broken water pipes that ran fully open for weeks. 13 out of 14 couples we were with are not coming back. Very unfriendly.

This is one of my favorite KOA campgrounds. This is our 2nd stay. It is very clean, folks working here are very friendly. It is centrally located in the city of Tucson, and even though it's located in not the best part of town you definitely feel safe here. The BBQ restaurant here is great! Service & food!! Best chicken tacos I've ever had!!

We have enjoyed all of our stays at this KOA This was our first stay using the buddy site 1688 and we loved it! My only wish was it had a paw pen.

Seriously this is the best campground. So many activities, so clean, and the people are the nicest.

This is a great RV resort with a lot of amenities, including access to the Tucson loop, a bike trail that encircles the city of Tucson. Lazydays KOA does a lot of extra work to make your stay enjoyable, including activities throughout the day for guests of all ages. We also thought the services were great including updated, clean laundry, restrooms and pool. We will definitely stay here again!

We always stay at the Lazy Days KOA in Tucson to visit friends. Love the property but its time for some upkeep. Potholes are huge in the lanes, bicycles are in poor shape, decor needs some paint and TLC, cable TV is static and Wi-Fi is very slow and cuts out.

Friends from ND joined us and were impressed with the cleanliness of park, amenities and friendlyness of staff and guests!
Feb 20, 2024
The property is well maintained. The cabins are getting beat up on the inside due to people leaving their pets unattended and scratching the wood. The only pullout sofa in every cabin needs to be replaced. The pullout bed mattress is extremely thin and uncomfortable. Our first night we couldn’t sleep because of the sound of trickling water coming from the toilet.

Been coming here for a couple years and in most areas they shine. Some of these activities might be seasonal, we were there Feb-Mar 2024, so keep that in mind. Spacious sites and most are level, cable tv available but pretty basic(no Golf or Hallmark/GAC channels), fruit trees(orange, lemon, grapefruit) that you can pick from, two pools with hot tubs, a restaurant on-site with generally decent food, two laundry rooms(which sometimes get crowded and there are usually machines down for maintenance), a fitness center with treadmills/bikes/rowing machines & dumbbell weights(thanks go to the slimeball who stole 1-30lb dumbbell around the middle of Feb-it made me up my weight), basic pickleball court, and two sets of bathrooms with showers. Park is kept really clean by the crew patrolling in golf carts continually during the day. Sunday pancakes w/ sausage for $ was good, but even better when they switched back to blueberries versus chocolate chips. The staff handling that were great & fun! Donuts/snacks on Thursday's were also fun. They charged a $1 for a donut this year but no big deal as far as I was concerned. Previous yrs saw the young, & yes some old, take advantage of the free ones. There were also plenty of crafty things going on, along with Trivia every so often in the restaurant. Couple downers this year and one was Bingo. Previous years they had cash payout for winning, this year it was a ‘Mystery Prize' that you got when spinning the wheel. Half hour bike rental, 6 wings, etc. We attended one time to see what it was, and never went back. Used to fill two rooms, with maybe 8-10 tables, approx. 8 people at each table. The time we went there was one room, couple tables, not filled. Used to be a fun social get-together. Heard the money all went to their Kare Camp fund, which is a great cause. But from what I understand, the fund got half of the proceeds from previous years. With attendance down, I wonder if they made more or less this year. Another downer was realizing that deposits & site picks for next year had increased 5 times from the previous year! That's a lot of MY money for KOA to be sitting on for a year. Also, water was shutoff three different times for maintenance. They did warn everyone days in advance, so use of your fresh water tank was imperative. Felt sorry for the tent campers though. Water out meant bathrooms closed too. They were fixing leaks. Gates are closed & guarded at night. There is some noise. Two busy streets, one International Airport, one Air Force Base, and train tracks, can disturb the light sleeper. Propane refill is offered. Last I heard, motorhomes go to them, they do not come to your site. Plenty of dog areas are offered all over the park. Heard some yippers on/off. Plan on going back again but hope some things change back the way they were. Seemed to be a lot less comradery this year.
