Campground Reviews

The campground is spotless and everyone that works there are great. The next comments refer to the smaller laundry and restrooms. On any given day at least half the washes and driers were broke. The change machine never worked during our two week stay. The staff kept the showers clean but they have seen better days. They need to be updated.

Terrific RV park! Clean, excellent services and facilities, our patio site gave us so much space we (almost) didn’t make it to the pool! Well located for access to so many outdoor activities. We will definitely recommend to our friends and look forward to visiting again in the future!

We spent an incredible two weeks at Tucson KOA, and it truly felt like a desert oasis! The campground is impeccably maintained, with spacious sites that comfortably accommodated our 5th wheel. The staff went above and beyond to ensure we had a delightful stay. The amenities, from the two pools to the mini-golf course, were a hit with the whole family—Tank included, thanks to the pet-friendly pol

This place was a big disappointment. Where do I start... 1. Directions were poor. Not knowing the area, it took a while to find the place 2. NO signs until you are actually at the property 3. Internet is Tengo, which is a pain in the first place. The signal is sporadic and weak. The morning I left, I had so much trouble tht I gave up and just left. There is another, excellent KOA just 4

We feel like we're home at Lazydays KOA.

So tidy, quiet, kind, clean, and so many fun amenities.

Generally a convenient place to stay. WiFi was not sufficient to do some computer work. Change machine was out of order in laundry and someone told me it had been like that for 2 weeks. Staff was helpful. However, one staff member told me she’d check us out and refund us and she never did it. Had to check back again and later shift staff took care of it.

We loved the Lazy Days KOA in Tucson. Great park for the dogs. Clean restrooms/showers. We may just have to plan a trip just to stay a few days instead of a one night stop over.

We stayed one night. Check in was easy. We had a good site close to the pool/hot tub and showers. Great place to walk the dog or get your steps in as it is a huge park.

We've stayed here many times over the years and have always enjoyed it. Our site this year was 1556 and the access road has large pot holes at both ends. Even going very slow if you go through one of these it will really shake up things inside a RV. We noticed other areas where the the roads need repair. This isn't a good look for such a nice park. Please fix the roads.

Campground very nice. The staff very accommodating. Park very safe with a fence and gate. Only downside was the neighborhood was not the best.

The cabin was so nice as well as the entire park. We loved everything about it and have already recommended it to our traveling friends

I stayed for about 6 weeks in 2023, maybe more. Plus a month this year. Plus recent 2 night stay. Lots to like: location; friendly staff; trees and shrubs between sites; trash pickup. What accounts for 3-star review? Bathroom and laundry room floors were noticeably cleaner this year, but woefully outdated. Renovation needed. If park had any worthy competitors, it would have been done long ago.

Had stayed here previously pre-pandemic. Standards seemed to have slipped in the ensuing years. Very disappointed. On-site restaurant was a huge letdown. We should have driven the additional 45 minutes to the Picacho KOA just north of Tucson. There is no comparison between the two. Picacho is absolutely wonderful!

You can check the site it ended in 76 but there were trees on both sides. The fruit tree on the driver's side needs to be trimmed back some. The big tree limb on the passenger side makes it difficult to get into the site. It has been hit a few times and needs cut off. This campground is always nice for a short stay.

Been there 6 winters for 2 months. Not keeping up on the park. Getting VERY expensive. Caters to kids. Too many dogs. Roads falling apart. Restaurant always out of certain foods. Took away social hour fun. Bingo is terrible now. Have to pay for everything. Laundry facilities in bad shape. Location is good though

Lazydays KOA is a great facility and the staff is helpful for most issues. Criticism: The billing department needs to review its process. When we told the staff that we were leaving, we found that our credit card was billed for another month. Despite numerous requests to correct the overpayment mistake, the Koa staff was unable to correct the problem. I was forced to file a credit card dispute!

Been coming here for a couple years and in most areas they shine. Some of these activities might be seasonal, we were there Feb-Mar 2024, so keep that in mind. Spacious sites and most are level, cable tv available but pretty basic(no Golf or Hallmark/GAC channels), fruit trees(orange, lemon, grapefruit) that you can pick from, two pools with hot tubs, a restaurant on-site with generally decent food, two laundry rooms(which sometimes get crowded and there are usually machines down for maintenance), a fitness center with treadmills/bikes/rowing machines & dumbbell weights(thanks go to the slimeball who stole 1-30lb dumbbell around the middle of Feb-it made me up my weight), basic pickleball court, and two sets of bathrooms with showers. Park is kept really clean by the crew patrolling in golf carts continually during the day. Sunday pancakes w/ sausage for $ was good, but even better when they switched back to blueberries versus chocolate chips. The staff handling that were great & fun! Donuts/snacks on Thursday's were also fun. They charged a $1 for a donut this year but no big deal as far as I was concerned. Previous yrs saw the young, & yes some old, take advantage of the free ones. There were also plenty of crafty things going on, along with Trivia every so often in the restaurant. Couple downers this year and one was Bingo. Previous years they had cash payout for winning, this year it was a ‘Mystery Prize' that you got when spinning the wheel. Half hour bike rental, 6 wings, etc. We attended one time to see what it was, and never went back. Used to fill two rooms, with maybe 8-10 tables, approx. 8 people at each table. The time we went there was one room, couple tables, not filled. Used to be a fun social get-together. Heard the money all went to their Kare Camp fund, which is a great cause. But from what I understand, the fund got half of the proceeds from previous years. With attendance down, I wonder if they made more or less this year. Another downer was realizing that deposits & site picks for next year had increased 5 times from the previous year! That's a lot of MY money for KOA to be sitting on for a year. Also, water was shutoff three different times for maintenance. They did warn everyone days in advance, so use of your fresh water tank was imperative. Felt sorry for the tent campers though. Water out meant bathrooms closed too. They were fixing leaks. Gates are closed & guarded at night. There is some noise. Two busy streets, one International Airport, one Air Force Base, and train tracks, can disturb the light sleeper. Propane refill is offered. Last I heard, motorhomes go to them, they do not come to your site. Plenty of dog areas are offered all over the park. Heard some yippers on/off. Plan on going back again but hope some things change back the way they were. Seemed to be a lot less comradery this year.

This is a pretty epic KOA. They have all the usual amenities like on-site 24hr laundry room, and clean bathrooms, but they go way beyond that with TWO pools, many solar panel shaded RV spots, gorgeous landscaping including fruit trees (intoxicating scent when blooming). Also lots of activities going on here, fire pits to hang out around, “train” rides, three kinds of little pedaler cars to rent for fun. We had a great time here.
