What a hidden gem in Townsend! Our campsite on the river had a nice space and large patio which was perfect for our 31 ft trailer. The amenities were great (my daughter loved the playground) and the staff was very courteous. We already have another trip planned and cannot wait to come back!

Had an awesome time. Grounds are well kept and clean! Spaces are a little tight as we were in a 43’ Class A motorhome but would definitely be back and not let that hinder anything. Everyone was super friendly and we enjoyed our stay! Thank you

Only reason not a 5 is that it's as high cost as a hotel room.

We had a site right on the water edge, and it was just beautiful. The site offered a large patio area that was complete with table and chairs.

Best Koa we have ever stayed at. Great location, clean area and friendly people! We would certainly return and recommend to others. There is only one negative to our stay….the worst toilet paper I have ever used. Please change that.

Lots of trees to manuver through in campground. cable tv had excellent quality. wi-fi was steady and strong enough. I've been to many rv parks that have poor quality cable - wi-fi. thanks for everthing. ps the bathroom were great.

Beautiful Rv park. Located right outside the entrance to the Smoky Mountains. Has the Little River running next to it. Every site is awesome. Very well kept. Convenient gas station with diesel out front. Fueled our motor home there with easy access.

Beautiful campground, quiet and peaceful on the river front sites. Brand new sites are VERY nice and level. Greeted by Hosts immediately who helped us disconnect Tow vehicle, gave us directions on best place to do this and escorted us to our site. They even had glasses for everyone for the Eclipse. Very peaceful stay which is exactly what we wanted.

The Townsend KOA is top-notch! The river sites are amazing, the kids loved the playground, and my husband loved the camp showers!!! The landscaping is beautifully done and their attention to the grounds are impeccable. We were there during a rainy stint but still found plenty to do around the Townsend and GSM area. Tuckaleechee Caverns were well worth the adventure and we were sad to check out!

Clean campground, friendly staff! We had a few issues with neighboring campers that let their children run through others' campsites. One child messed with our hitch, one almost scratched the entire front of our bumper with a large log. We understand this isn't necessarily the campground's fault, but it did put a damper on our stay not knowing if our stuff was safe at our site.

We love camping and we have noticed KOA’s (besides Baileyton, Tn) place their campsites wayyy to close together! We could hear our neighbors talking.

This is the nicest campground I’ve stayed at in this area and would choose this over anything near Gatlinburg or Pigeon Forge. They call this the peaceful side of the Smokies and it’s so true. We stayed on the creek with a patio and it was perfect and very relaxing. We also loved how close it was to the entrance of the national park. We’ll definitely be back!

The ladies there were always helpful, always had a smile on her face. The men would help anyway that they needed me. It was a very clean facility. It was nice and quiet. They kept the noise down after hands-down. The best place I’ve ever ever can’t and would definitely be back.

Enjoyed the RV site along the river. A great location to experience the outdoors and away from the busyness of other areas

Cades cove is a great place to go and enjoy nature at its best, pigeon forge has a lot of wonderful stores and amusement parks along the strip

This is a "Holiday" KOA so it has amenities for campers who stay away and look for entertainment. It is just outside and entrance to the Great Smoky Mountain National Park. The "Little River" flows by the edge of the campground then into the National Park. some sites back up to the river. There are many trees in the campground. The bathroom and other building facilities are dated in design but clean, neat and spotless in appearance. I feel the whole campground is well maintained. I have a high-end site, $100/night but I like the space. All sites are gravel. Mine was in excellent condition. Very quiet at night. No AT&T cell service but the campground WiFi worked very well all the time.

Very quiet and peaceful. The bath house is to far from the camping cabins though.
