We enjoyed a great vacation at the Townsend KOA. The staff was very nice and attentive. Internet cut in and out. Next years price increase is a concern for us.

Reservations for a 40 foot trailer were made for 2 nights Tryed to put us in a spot that didn't fit our truck. Offered us to put our truck at front office. My husband is handicap. We refused. Found another spot that barely fit our truck. We couldnt put our toy hauler back down because of trees. Leafs are aweful. Wanted to move us to another spot next night. Worse KOA ever to stay in.

Everything was so nice, the staff, the grounds, the bathhouse, the location and other amenities. We have done a lot of traveling this year and this campground was no doubt our favorite!

Great location and great staff as always! We did have some confusing information about if our adult son’s car could be parked on our site. In the end, he had to park across the street from the campground.

We left on Saturday Nov 4 which I thought was the 5th so I paid an extra day but that’s not their fault. We love this campground & everyone is so nice & helpful. Thanks to Don & April for always willing to help. It’s a clean & very well kept campground! See you at Christmas!

We had a wonderful stay until the last night. Our friends came to eat dinner outside with us, parking their truck on the empty site beside us. The worker camper, Greg, rudely told us to "move this vehicle immediately." We willingly obliged. Greg continued to be rude, instructing us not to park anywhere other than our own campsite. We considered canceling our trip booked for 2024 due to rudeness.

Great spot if you wanna do Cades Cove and some Smoky Mountain exploring! Staff was always nice and helpful and ever present. Close to shopping and great local eats and activities. Sites are a little closer in some areas than others. Lots of awesome sites and river views though! We did Halloween there and think we have a new tradition!

Great locatin. Clean, wooded campsites near the river with excellent access to the Great Smoky Mountains NP. Campground staff is very friendly and helpful. Feels secluded, but is walking and bicycling distance to restaurants and the national park.

Townsend KOA was super clean, well maintained and greatly staffed. It was exactly what we were looking for in an in-town camping spot. Everything we were aiming to do that weekend - Cades Cove, Eat out, Hike and mountain bike - was just around the corner or a short drive away. We also appreciated the manager's commitment to quiet hours.

Loved the location, loved the site, the office personnel were great but the guy parking trailers was very rude and disrespectful! His name was Greg and if he is still there, we will look for another campground in that area.

Customer service was top notch and the campground and facilities were clean and well maintained. The campground is gorgeous and in the perfect location for what we were looking for. We would definitely recommend this KOA to anyone and would absolutely stay again!

Had great stay at Townsend KOA! Quite and out of hustle & bustle, but close enough to get in the hustle when you want to! Kudos to the young man that welcomed us in and helped direct us with the back in and then helped resolve issue with internet/tv hookup!

We love the Townsend KOA. We are frequent visitors. Not having the best of luck with falling limbs at this campground. We have now had limbs fall on our Travel Trailer 3 times on 3 different visits including the last night this trip on lot 57. This limb issue has me seriously looking at the Little Arrow next door because of the falling limbs.

We love this campground. Everything from the clean grounds, responsive workers & check-in staff is top notch. My only complaint is the increasing cost of staying there. We come every fall for a week but may have to consider other campgrounds in the area due to the cost. We love this campground and recommend it to all our friends. Keep up the good work, but please reconsider your rates.

Very helpful staff. We were greeted immediately! The staff was very helpful to help us into our campsite. Facility was super clean and well maintained. The activities for Halloween were great! Very family friendly!

Very quiet campground with beautiful surroundings. Grandkids loved the playground and trick or treating! Looking forward to many more visits in the future!

We had an amazing weekend here. The trick or treating and events were so much fun, and all of the employees were so helpful and kind! Already booked again for next year :)

This is a "Holiday" KOA so it has amenities for campers who stay away and look for entertainment. It is just outside and entrance to the Great Smoky Mountain National Park. The "Little River" flows by the edge of the campground then into the National Park. some sites back up to the river. There are many trees in the campground. The bathroom and other building facilities are dated in design but clean, neat and spotless in appearance. I feel the whole campground is well maintained. I have a high-end site, $100/night but I like the space. All sites are gravel. Mine was in excellent condition. Very quiet at night. No AT&T cell service but the campground WiFi worked very well all the time.
