We were surprised at how tight the sights were. (All back in)You are on top of each other. Our slide out was almost on the neighbors table next door. It was pleasant and staff was very helpful, lots to see in 5 days there, this KOA has lots more hidden gems on the River and among the trees. Staff I must say were “Johnny on the spot” helpful

The showers are clean the facilities been maintained quite well the only thing I guess I would suggest is making it more obvious where the koa Beach area is. The campers at site 100 always appeared resentful of people's presents there around the water. Maybe some small sort of slight boundary to clarify the river wasn't theirs only.

Wonderful stay in the deluxe cottage. Location is nice with the river on the back, entrance to the park and lots of good restaurants nearby. Staff is very nice, courteous and helpful. Cabin was well stocked with required amenities. It's bit small though especially the bunkbed area. We couldn't get to use fire pit or Propane grill as it was raining the evening of our stay. Overall loved our stay!

We love to stay at KOA.This is our second time in Townsend, Tn. We were in spot 85. There was a huge dead tree at the side of this spot and the falling debris from the dead tree was all over our truck & Airstream. It made for a messy truck and trailer.. We have already reserved next year for 12 days and will not be in this spot. I think it would be advantageous to have the dead tree cut down.

Great stay, great location next to national park and close to cades cove, excellent shower facilities, very clean, comfortable mattresses. A little pricey but is a reflection of season and demand….a small family might opt for a hotel room in town with a bathroom and breakfast provided for less cost…..but having a rustic cabin on the river is better than a hotel room!

The staff are so good at what they do. Those people helping park are the best! No confusion with directions and help park your RV perfectly. The office staff are very kind and helpful! The bathrooms are always clean and comfortable.

We really enjoyed our stay! Great location in Townsend on the river. The cabin fit our needs for the week but a bit further from the restroom than we realized. Loved the option for texting for most all communication. Especially loved the ice and firewood delivery!

The campground is clean and sites are spacious. Couple of drawbacks: We had to inform the desk that we were KOA members because the reduction wasn’t included, and no one had asked us at time of reservation. Even with the discount, we think $100 per night is too expensive. Also, we would have appreciated a couple of activities geared towards adults, as we were not there with children on this trip

Always a great experience every time we visit Townsend. Little kids love the playground and the older ones love the river.

Everything great except a few ants and a big roach in our cabin dc6… also hornets nested in dc5 next door that came out every night and ended up around our deck… other than that everything good we’ll be back

I absolutely love this campground! Everyone is so nice and a huge shout out to Adam. So kind and always offering to help anyway he can. We have been twice this year and stayed at tent site 126. It has amazing views of the river and our son loves it. We refer all of our friends and family to this campground, and can’t wait to go back!! Thanks for making our vacations amazing!- The Wright family.

We stayed in site #30. A beautiful patio site. However a bit short for our 40ft coach. We could not get our bikes in and out of site due to landscape right at the front door of coach! All workers were friendly and the campground was spotless d well groomed. We will be back

Nice few days, love the river. But the river site on top of price. The large and deep fire rings are not a positive.

Very friendly staff. Adam was just super super nice. A little jammed for our camper spot but otherwise OK. Many options to choose from. Many nice cabins by the creek. Wow. Nice dog park, good bathhouse.

This is our 3rd year and stayed in DC6. Loved it all! A couple things with the cabin to suggest: Solar lights so we can see up the deck stairs at night. More shelves and hooks please. The wall under the bathroom hooks had mold on it..yuck! Guess with wet towels it doesn't get dried out much. Staff there is awesome and cabin was stocked very well. Loved text service and prompt response!!

CABIN DOORS SHOULD HAVE SOME KIND OF DOOR HANDLE THAT KEEPS THE DOOR CLOSED WITH OUT HAVING TO USE THE KEY AND DEADBOLT EVERY TIME

Overall good stay. Bathrooms need more attention during the day, kept running out of toilet paper and towels. Ladies in office not overly nice, outside crew was more friendly. Have been staying there a while but am starting to look at other campgrounds in area

This was our 2nd stay here - we love it! Sites are a little more crowded than we would like, but being in the woods is fantastic! Love the prime location. Wish the roads in the campground were paved so the little ones could enjoy their bikes/trikes more. Had a site next to the basketball court. Even though quiet hours were obeyed there was a good bit of noise pollution. Staff are super friendly.

We love Townsend/ Great Smokies KOA. The staff is always so happy and helpful. This was our third visit and we have 2 more visits planned. It is definitely our family happy place.

Staff was fabulous, and the facilities were very clean. The campground maintenance perfect. Only suggestion would be to isolate the trash areas to one hidden area, but that could be challenging. Beautiful campground and love the river!

We were very grateful a spot was available last minute when we called, the same day, a few hours away. And then the spot we got was phenomenal! Gorgeous, right by the river. The attendant was super helpful, bringing us firewood just before he left for the night. The facilities were beautiful, easy, and convenient. We would definitely come back!

As always, we enjoyed a wonderful week at the KOA Townsend! (The reason for a less than perfect score is the bathrooms were not as clean as they usually have been. Also, Lights were out in a couple of the showers and they were also not as clean as usual. Other than that, we had a great stay).

Super responsive check-in team. The campground is always operating room clean. As always, we enjoyed our stay. They make it look easy but, as we all know, easy is hard. One thing we noticed this year was the WiFi was so much more reliable and high speed. Very grateful for that! We appreciate the extreme efforts of everyone who made sure our stay was the best.

We had a wonderful stay. The people were so nice and helpful. Very clean and landscaped nice. I have had numerous back and neck surgeries so the help parking was a real blessing. We will be back ! Thank You - M.M.

This is our third time to stay here. We have enjoyed each stay. We had to leave a day early because one of us was sick all week long. We received an unexpected refund for the last day. We appreciate that.
