Great well laid out sites and very clean. Staff was very friendly and helpful upon arrival and I didn’t have to get out and go inside for my reservation all taken care of at the entrance. We were lead to our site and informed how to get in touch if we needed anything.

We love this KOA. It is so beautiful, they go above and beyond to accommodate you. The bathrooms and showers are always clean. We stay here as often as possible.

Only problem was the trash truck noise dumping the trash at a ridiculous time in the morning! 4-5 am!

Everyone was very friendly and helpful. The little community inside the campground was great also. Other campers friendly and the environment with the little river so tranquil. We loved the activities that were open from Hayrides and Tye Dye to even having a church service on Sunday. We live in Blount County and have already said we want to comeback. RV site and Cabin were perfect. Best KOA so Far

We finally rented 1 of the cabins on the river for my husband's 60th bday. The outside area was beautiful & well-maintained. I was disappointed with the lack of maintenance on the inside of this cabin. The kitchen was very nice, but the bathroom was a mess - short toilet, shower head a joke and unusable, tiles missing - generally a mess. Saying that we will still visit this KOA. Great staff.

Great check in process and very helpful staff. Site was clean as well as the rest of the campground. There were a couple of the staff members that were not very friendly and almost looked like they were watching for us to break a rule or something but most all of the others were very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back again.

We took a quick trip to test out our new rental camper & thoroughly enjoyed ourselves in the process. Staff was attentive and friendly which made us feel welcomed. We loved playing Bingo! The only complaint is the leash rule for dogs isn't monitored well with little dogs. Several times the small dog staying in site 100 came over to our site while we were cooking/eating. The owner laughed it off.

I came to get away for a weekend in the mountians and thays exactly what i did it was wonderful the staff helped me back in they awnsered any question i had and the ammenaties were just a stones throw away i loved every second of it and im defnetly gonna come back plus this place was soooo quiet it was the most peaceful ive felt in years

This was the most beautiful KOA we've ever camped at. It was landscaped, neat and clean. All the staff was very friendly and helpful.

The cabin was very clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. The campground was quiet, peaceful, and relaxing. We're glad to have found such a nice place that has pet friendly options.

Beautiful property with many amenities, friendly staff, convenient gas station and wonderful store with a wide variety of goods to choose from. The two room camping cabin was perfect for our needs and close to the restrooms. Loved sitting on the porch and walking to the nearby creeks to enjoy the views and falling leaves.

We love Townsend KOA. It's a quiet charming campground located along a beautiful river. It is our short haul getaway. Great people great staff, beautiful sites. If you want to get rowdy just minutes to Gatlinburg and then just a east short drive to listening to the river run and having a nice fire and grill out. One of our favorite camp grounds. Sites clean and good size. Bathrooms were clean, but limited in location. Customer service was outstanding. Loved the wood-to-site delivery!

We have stayed there 4 different times now. The biggest issue we have is cell service and internet. As you pull into the entrance cell service falls off

We stayed in a camping cabin and were blown away with the cleanliness of the cabin. Even under the beds were spotless! We loved that we had a fire ring with a cooking grate, a clean grill, and a picnic table. We had plenty of room to cook outside and enjoy the fall weather! The showers and dish washing stations were incredibly clean. The staff were all kind and helpful. The entire place was clean!

We stayed Saturday through Monday M and had a great stay. Site 88 at first appears very narrow and not what we had hoped. Once camper was in, the sitting area behind the camper offered almost total seclusion from the rest of the activity and we Loved it!! Even went and changed from a “premium site” for June 2024, to site 88;)

Great staff and nice facilities. Only thing I would do different is upgrade to a riverside site if available. Great location near Cades Cove Loop. It is close to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge but far enough away to avoid the chaos of those towns.

Love Townsend KOA! Quaint quiet town. Campground has a cozy feel with foliage and trees. Clean and friendly staff. Looking forward to our next visit.

Cades cove is a great place to go and enjoy nature at its best, pigeon forge has a lot of wonderful stores and amusement parks along the strip

This is a "Holiday" KOA so it has amenities for campers who stay away and look for entertainment. It is just outside and entrance to the Great Smoky Mountain National Park. The "Little River" flows by the edge of the campground then into the National Park. some sites back up to the river. There are many trees in the campground. The bathroom and other building facilities are dated in design but clean, neat and spotless in appearance. I feel the whole campground is well maintained. I have a high-end site, $100/night but I like the space. All sites are gravel. Mine was in excellent condition. Very quiet at night. No AT&T cell service but the campground WiFi worked very well all the time.

Very quiet and peaceful. The bath house is to far from the camping cabins though.
