This is one of the best KOA's that we stayed in. The employees were absolutely amazing. Our furnace broke and they delivered us a space heater to use until we got the part we needed. The spaces are a little tight but an employee helped us back in. Very close to the Smoky NP. I really can't say enough about how awesome the staff is here. Will definitely be back!

Everyone was so friendly and the campground is GORGEOUS! We had a river site and our friends stayed in a cute cabin. We've already reserved our stay for 2024!

Beautiful campground in the perfect location. Easy access to Cades Cove, Pigeon Forge and Gatlingburg via the Smokies. Clean restrooms and most of all, the staff is friendly and helpful. Can't wait to spend time here in the future.

Very clean campground-just wish there was a big loop to walk the dog. The dead ends don’t allow much walking as the dog park is always busy and others aren’t always polite to take turns. Adam was great in getting us backed in and everyone was very friendly and helpful!

We always love the Townsedn KOA. But the people on Site 8, on Thursday, Oct 8th, allowed their children to scream well past quiet hours. Even after a Workampet said something to them, it continued. Other people had problems with teens on bikes, especially after dark. Please do something about this. Little kuds giggling is ok. Blood curdling screams, for hours, is another.

Our stay was great! Everyone was very friendly and accommodating. We love coming here! Our only problem was that our small cooler was stolen off our cabin porch. We have never had a problem before. See you next year!

We have stayed at KOA Townsend for years. This stay was in deluxe cabin/where we have stayed b4. Dissipointed for several reasons but after paying $300 per night did not expect mice droppings on kitchen table & in my toiletries. Reported mice & were told we were in the woods. Shelley was a bright spot & other staff but not all. Too many other/better options. Will never sleep with mice again!

I sent an email to the Campground. Our Deluxe Cabin was nasty. It was not cleaned well at all and I am not happy. The campground itself is beautiful and if you have your own camper it is great! As far as staying in the cabins...I don't recommend it.

Me and my husband came for a 4 day weekend to relax and unwind. Our cabin was clean and welcoming. We loved the fire pit and the patio. We always come back to this location.

Koa is always our number one place to stay when going out of town but this location was by far the worse all around. 10/10 would not recommend

The Sauntering Santa Report, Just a great place to camp. Very clean facilities and great shower area. Quiet as well and nice to listen to the river while you sleep.

The River sites are nice and love the new concrete patios. Public Bathrooms are not the best… men’s toilet seats were broken and not sure how clean they really were. I would also suggest not letting dogs use the restroom by the public landing/beach. Maybe designate an area further away. There was strong smell of dog feces and urine, which turned a beautiful view into a not so pleasant experien

VERY DISAPPOINTED! A. I was charged $80+ for an extra vehicle which was parked exactly where I was told at check-in to park it, with NO reference to being charged $20 a night, nor being required to park across the street—a guideline which I cannot find in print in ANY of your literature. NO COMMUNICATION. B. The bunk bed mattresses were too thin in the middle for anyone to sleep comfortably.

Cabin was full of mice. On tables countertops, in beds, clothes, and luggage. Booked 2 nights. Left after 1. Charged for 2. Front desk staff said “well it is camping”. Been camping 30 years and never had a problem until this. Definitely won’t stay in a KOA Deluxe cabin again.

Nice campground close to lots of things. But very small spaces, we were unable to use our fire pit because it was right next to our neighbor’s rv ����.

We love KOA Townsend. We stay every year and have made many friendships along the way. Already scheduled next year! Large sites, great fireplace and large restrooms.

Overall great! All the staff members were super nice. The bathrooms and showers were clean. The campsites weren’t crowded. Will definitely stay again!

Great campground! Very clean and well kept with nice landscaping. The bath house areas were nice and very clean. Steve helped us back our camper into site 14 (a marriage-saving service, as they call it!) and put us in the best spot for us. Other services like trash pick up, propane tank refill (leave your tank out and they pick it up, refill and return) and firewood delivery make it too easy

Location, Location! This is a beautiful place to stay if visiting the Smokey Mountains. The staff is wonderful, helpful and really friendly. My only reason for giving a score of 4, The key to your stay here is the site you pick. We choose a River w/deck and for the price we paid it could have been nicer. The deck wood was rotten we could not use it and the sites were very tight.

This is a "Holiday" KOA so it has amenities for campers who stay away and look for entertainment. It is just outside and entrance to the Great Smoky Mountain National Park. The "Little River" flows by the edge of the campground then into the National Park. some sites back up to the river. There are many trees in the campground. The bathroom and other building facilities are dated in design but clean, neat and spotless in appearance. I feel the whole campground is well maintained. I have a high-end site, $100/night but I like the space. All sites are gravel. Mine was in excellent condition. Very quiet at night. No AT&T cell service but the campground WiFi worked very well all the time.
