We came to stay he tree for the 4th year in a row. We were assigned the wrong style and size of campsite from what was requested. They moved us to a new site, charged me $15 more per night and we were given the pleasure of looking at their maintenance building and their storage area for a week. One of the locals told me to go try Highland acres RV resort. We’ll be trying that one next year.

Very nice campground. Clean, very well kept and several fun events scheduled. We had a gazebo site which worked great for dodging the rain.

Great park, loved all the extras, unfortunately it was pouring down rain and we were not able to even sit outside. We would definitely come back here. We ended up getting off the highway at the exit where you have to drive a mile and a half down a dirt road, our truck got very dirty. The owner said he’s been trying to get the town to pave that road.

This was our fourth stay at Thompson/Grand River KOA and it’s a very nice campground. I would recommend this KOA to all families and couples campers. They have festivities going on the whole camping season. The bathrooms and shower houses have always been clean and tidy along with the whole campground in general. We will definitely be going back next camping season.

This time we stayed in a deluxe cabin and booked a full hookup rv spot. The cabin was super clean and the kids loved it. Everything was excellent. Despite it raining all day during half the stay, the park put on great activities like bingo, tie-dye, hot chocolate and s’mores. We will definitely be back this coming summer for at least a few visits. Great job by the staff. Best KOA we’ve stayed

Disappointing this time . We had booked a site up front with the deck . Got there as it was getting dark to check in and we were given a site way in the back . Struggled to get our camper back there on the dark . Nothing was marked clearly and we were extremely disappointed that we didn’t get the site we had booked .

Beautiful campsite, loved the patio area and having coffee on the glider. Very clean, friendly and helpful staff. Enjoyed our stay very much!

On initial arrival there was an extremely strong smell of septic. We were put in site A07 (No, I didn't pay extra to lock my site) which was on the side of a hill. My 36' unit was 34" low in the front, and I didn't bring a lumber yard with me to get fully level. We were in town for an event so thankfully we weren't relying on the campground to entertain us, but I probably won't visit again.

There isn't very good sineage to the camp, and when the pavement ended I really wondered if I was on a GPS wild goose chase. And I wasn't thrilled with the up hill sewer drain

It was just a quick overnight for us. didnt use any of the facilities. we were lucky they had a sight available on short notice.

upon making my reservation via phone, I requested a satellite site so we could utilize our satellite TV for our 6 night stay. However we were given a site with tall trees surrounding the campsite. Making the TV setup useless. You will never post this on your website!!

Reservation messed up for the second time this year. Advertised events were cancelled with no explanation. Wagon ride was cut short due to tractor having a problem. We were told they had know idea this many people would attend. How can that be ? You stated you were sold out. Math would tell you what to expect. That's just bad management. The new management has been horrible.

We had a great stay at Thompson koa. Was there for one of the Halloween weekends. Will def be back next yr! Very nice campground. Clean campground and very friendly staff. Had a wonderful time!

Overall, very nice stay and would come back. Staff was pleasant, grounds were nice (except for a few overgrown seasonal sites), campers were mostly respectful and fun activities on a Halloween weekend. Would like a few activities for older kids (14-15). Didn't like UTVs that passed through a couple of times, loud campsite a few down from us and teens on golf carts playing music after midnight!

I’d give it more like 41/2 stars. We love it there and are hoping to get in as a seasonal next year. We had tons of fun trick or treating with our granddaughter and the staff is always very friendly. I wish the speed limits and quiet time was better enforced though. That’s my only complaint.

My kids and grandkids stay in LS1, and I booked it for them for Halloween #1 weekend. And as always, the campground delivered. A good time was had by all and they will be back next weekend and next year.

Well now another manager and things continue to get worse! Not only kids driving golf carts but now side by sides. This used to be a great place And the shower house along A line is still locked. That’s 2 years now

We were there this past weekend camping with friends of ours and we were in g and they were in a so we barely got to see our friends and the kids did lots of activities thank you for those and the sand on g6 was horrible we have to empty our entire camper to get all the sand out!

Staff was super friendly. This is a nice place to stay, we enjoyed the decor. If staying at the 30amp back in sites - I would maybe pay for a better spot as they are very tight and uneven.

Loved this park. It is very large, many places to walk your dog. Great playground for the kids. All the people were so nice and helpful. And the sites are huge. You have ample room between sites so you have great privacy. We will return!

We almost did not stop at this KOA because of some of the reviews; however, decided we needed to stop for the night and take our chances. We are sooo glad we did. yes, there was a gravel mile road to get to the KOA, but you should NOT worry and the camping is WORTH the short drive. Sites were clean and campground is well taken care of. We would not only come back, but stay longer.

We have camped here before. The camp staff are very friendly and helpful. The lakeside patio spots are very nice. The camp staff were helping a camper that had lost their keys actually checking the roads around their camp looking for the keys above and beyond customer service !!!!!

The site we were assigned was no way could we level our camper . The camper was raised as far as the tongue jack could go and the camper was still low on front. We did ask if we could change sites to the one across from us and the office person said it was ok. Other wise the camp ground was good. This is the second time we have stayed there.

To be clear, this is a KOA, not a hotel. When I rate the rooms here, I refer to the sites. I have NOT stayed in their cabins. This KOA is under new ownership this year and so far it seems great. We camped here a few times last year as weekend visitors. The sites are nice, well-maintained, and reasonably private for a KOA. This year, we have returned as “permanent” campers at a dedicated site. Having camped at dozens of other places over the last several years, we did not choose this KOA as a permanent location without considerable research and discussion. The staff is immediately helpful upon arrival and keeps up a high standard of service over the entire stay. They are friendly and knowledgeable. The camp store is nicely stocked and maintained as are the amenities such as the heated pool, the swimming pond, and fishing pond. The camp site we have is nice and level enough that I was easily able to level my RV in all directions pretty quickly. We have a nice fire pit and plenty of space for my family and dogs. We are close to the nice showers and bathrooms. Though we will not likely use them often, it is nice that they are clean and available. The water, power, and sewer hookups are in good shape and I have no concerns about them. As for location, this campground seems to be pretty quiet and amongst a very wooded area. There is a small amount of gravel road leading up to the campground regardless of the direction you come in, but the road seems to be very well-maintained and has caused us no concerns so far. We like that it is isolated, but other needs are close enough if we want them. Within a few minutes, you can get to a hardware store, many food options, and other needs likely to arise when camping…especially wineries/distilleries. Lots of wineries and such are very close. Overall, this is a great KOA to visit or stay a season. I hope you and your guests are able to enjoy this area and this campground is a great place to start!

So we went Off season to visit for a night with the dog and the baby. The site was well maintained, clean and off city. The new owners were super Friendly new. We had a nice cosy and Quiet night. Just what we needed. Grocery stores and all needs are within 15 minutes from site.

Although we only stayed one night it was very relaxing. We were traveling with 3 dogs and got a site that had a dog pen. It was lovely walking around early in the morning. They have a fantastic gift shop too! I'm going back for sure
