SUCH A GREAT PLACE TO STAY... Well worth the drive from Baltimore!

The staff at the campground were very friendly and helpful. We stayed at this campground early in the spring and found out that they are under new ownership. We stayed this weekend and were very surprised with all the work they are doing to improve the campground. The general manager was very nice and the staff was always on the grounds assisting campers or working on the grounds. Great campground

Beautiful site! We loved the layout, atmosphere and amenities as well as the very friendly staff. We had some mixups with checkin that were proactively and carefully resolved. We definitely plan on visiting again.

I'm sure it's a lot more fun during the warmer weather. Grounds were clean and well kept but I think it was a bit late in the year to really enjoy many of the amenities

I usually always give all stars for this location. But this time there were a lot of very rude people with no real initiative to care about others. Several nights of teens bouncing on pillow blaring rap music with curse words with young kids around. Kids running under our canopy looking in our camper. Adults walking their dogs across road into our space to let their dogs poop. Not the norm.

Very nice and peaceful. The only thing I would have liked is the store to be open just a bit longer for late arrivals and to get odds and ends if need be.

Some upgrades & maintance needed. I hope they replace the water trampoline & paddleboards & little boats that used to be available in the swimming pond. If not, remove those amenities from the website. The golf carts are pretty rough & for the price, need replaced. The roads need graded & new gravel added. The clubhouse is large but needs a thorough cleaning. Excited for the new Yurts!

It's hard to rate these guys because the campground is very nice. We've stayed before & loved the experience. However, we will NEVER STAY in the section that has sites M3-M10. We've stayed at many campgrounds & never have we had a site as close together, uneven (up hill or down hill) & extreme uphill sewers as these sites. There was very little room for our tow vehicle. NEVER again for M3-M10.

Nice campground, BUT we had the worst sites ever. M 7 is very uneven, and the whole section is too tight for anything over 24 feet long. Plus, we had neighbor who left their 2 dogs alone in the camper all day, barking every time something was outside. Not the campground's fault, but the barking dogs added to the rotten site aggravation.

Of all the campgrounds we have been to this one is hands down the best. The sites are very spacious. Plenty of things to do for the kids. Quiet at night. Honestly I couldn’t be any happier with my stay.

Activity schedule from what was on line wasn't the same, the printed one once checked in was changed, so we missed most of activities for our kids. Not the same as in previous years.

I just loved the the cabin I was in ,very roomy and clean. Had a wonderful time, plan on doing it again !!!!

The facilities were nice, with plenty to keep the kids busy (pool, pond, gaga ball, etc.) We camped with a large group and the office was unable to reserve spaces near each other. Some of the sites were very uneven and made for challenging set up. Overall a nice campground that I would go to again, especially if we could reach someone in the office to reserve specific sites for us.

We throughly enjoyed the stay. The campground was very clean, well maintained and your golf cart "Ambassadors" that work there were very pleasant and accomodating. One even offered to give me a ride when they saw I was walking to a another site. Improve the reservation system and you will be a 10+.

Overall, we did enjoy our time, but I would recommend the following improvements: pool temperature could have been a few degrees warmer, more enforcement of the speed limit, too many yellow jackets/bees; most importantly, the store closed at 5pm on the door sign, but it noted 6pm on the website. Would recommend store open until 8pm. Would recommend an indoor arcade and/or pool table.

Beautiful campground and our cabin was very nice. My only complaint was the kitchen needed more utensils and pans. It was very clean and the people there were very friendly. Want to go back next year for sure!

Cabin was nice and clean, pool could have been cleaner. Kids enjoyed the pond but were disappointed the kayaks were no longer available.

This is one of my favorite campgrounds! It is in a beautiful setting and is close to many parks. It is relaxing and peaceful to say the least! The facilities are well-maintained and the staff is extremely friendly. I highly recommend this campground!

Quiet and relaxing. We enjoyed going to the pool with our grandchildren and the dog run was perfect for us. The employees were very friendly and helpful.

Everything and everyone from the Thompson/Grand River Valley KOA was great. Always enjoy going there 2-3 times a year.

We had a great time tent camping! The campsite was very spacious and the bathhouse was clean and private. The best part was all of the entertainment for our toddler - the playground, the sandpit, the pool, etc. We will probably return in the near future.

Unfortunately there was no activities this weekend my family was there. My kids had nothing to do. They look forward to activities. I don’t think We will be returning. We were highly disappointed. This is a “holiday” there should be more to do, or offer the campers a discount because there was nothing to do.

We stayed in the cabin by the pond. Loved that site, perfect outside room for my big dog and private too. The cabin was clean upon entering and wiped down, only thing that really needed attention was the inside of toilet. Other then that we had a great stay!!

Our second time tent camping in Thompson and both were extremely wonderful. So much to do. So much to keep the kids entertained. All the campers and staff are friendly. The camp is clean. Will be back again soon with a travel trailer. Absolutely love this place

To be clear, this is a KOA, not a hotel. When I rate the rooms here, I refer to the sites. I have NOT stayed in their cabins. This KOA is under new ownership this year and so far it seems great. We camped here a few times last year as weekend visitors. The sites are nice, well-maintained, and reasonably private for a KOA. This year, we have returned as “permanent” campers at a dedicated site. Having camped at dozens of other places over the last several years, we did not choose this KOA as a permanent location without considerable research and discussion. The staff is immediately helpful upon arrival and keeps up a high standard of service over the entire stay. They are friendly and knowledgeable. The camp store is nicely stocked and maintained as are the amenities such as the heated pool, the swimming pond, and fishing pond. The camp site we have is nice and level enough that I was easily able to level my RV in all directions pretty quickly. We have a nice fire pit and plenty of space for my family and dogs. We are close to the nice showers and bathrooms. Though we will not likely use them often, it is nice that they are clean and available. The water, power, and sewer hookups are in good shape and I have no concerns about them. As for location, this campground seems to be pretty quiet and amongst a very wooded area. There is a small amount of gravel road leading up to the campground regardless of the direction you come in, but the road seems to be very well-maintained and has caused us no concerns so far. We like that it is isolated, but other needs are close enough if we want them. Within a few minutes, you can get to a hardware store, many food options, and other needs likely to arise when camping…especially wineries/distilleries. Lots of wineries and such are very close. Overall, this is a great KOA to visit or stay a season. I hope you and your guests are able to enjoy this area and this campground is a great place to start!

So we went Off season to visit for a night with the dog and the baby. The site was well maintained, clean and off city. The new owners were super Friendly new. We had a nice cosy and Quiet night. Just what we needed. Grocery stores and all needs are within 15 minutes from site.

Although we only stayed one night it was very relaxing. We were traveling with 3 dogs and got a site that had a dog pen. It was lovely walking around early in the morning. They have a fantastic gift shop too! I'm going back for sure
