Stayed here before, use to have cable I thought, not now. Garbage cans full. Reserved online, no info for site. Had to check in at office to get site, o maps.

Management was very friendly and accommodating. A little work upgrading the shower facilities would be nice. All round pleasant stay.

Clean park and friendly staff. Only downside is I wish there was more grass between sites. It rained and with no grass the sites turned into mud pits. Still a great park and would stay again.

Adult couple in a 35' class A towing a Ranger Truck. Desired pull through full hook up. This met our request. Easy on line booking, easier registration (actually received a call with our site and other info and told to head to site, get settled and then come up to office. Wish more campgrounds did that! We would definitely chose this campground again.

First the good. The staff is friendly and helpful. Now the bad. We were parked in a pull through that's very close to I30, which is a heavily traveled truck route. In our 40 years of RVing, this was the first time we haven't been able to sleep because of road noise. If you're searching for a park to spend a day or two, give this place a miss. For me, worst KOA ever.

When we arrived we were greeted by an employee and nothing was said about the water would be cut off for repairs. Not any kind of street lighting. Trash can next to our campsite was full. Didn’t want to set on the ground was not sure about coyotes. I was not impressed by the camp ground.

Hook up didn't work, attendant got upset when asked to make sure power worked at new sight b4 we moved, which when he did it didn't work either, the whole row was out everyone had 2move. Eventually we were taken care of and all worked

Older KOA, small with permanent residents behind having tons of traffic coming through. One mustang revved their motor several times coming through the park with a burn-out in front of the campground. Lot's of traffic noise from the interstate and was very noticeable since the park is right next to it. No KOA roadsign directions once getting off the interstate, just the one in front of the park.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Our location is very easy to find at exit 223. We are right on the access road and some campers are bothered by road noise and some are not bothered by the road noise at all.

Stayed overnight at Journey KOA in Texarkana. Gentleman taking reservations very pleasant and informative. We arrived after 7 pm. Campground had little lighting making it dark. Utilities were easily accessible. Location next to freeway convenient but noisy from traffic. 3 stars due to insufficient lighting and noise.

Old, small, loud, lacking good Customer Service, cable connections at site dead. Power ok, 34 pounds water. We won’t be back.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

we stopped providing cable tv 5 years ago and all of our promotion and web material states that guest can stream from wifi or use an antenna to get local channels. We are right on the access road of I-30 and some folks are bothered by noise and some are not.

All ways a bit noisy but we always stay here on our way out of TX. Love the Staffa and the grounds are well kept. Many other RVs stay over night. All classes and trailer types included.

Older park. Gravel roads and parking slots really need repair but are useable. Store is almost worthless…this should be fixed. Travelers have to compete with residents for laundry. This is inexcusable for a Journey KOA. Location for travelers is very convenient.

Such a nice, clean, well-run KOA! My brother was in a nearby hospital, so I parked my Airstream there for less than ideal reasons. That said, the staff bent over backward to make sure I had a trouble-free stay, even when I needed to extend a couple of times. Love this park!

Very conveniently located on I35! And except for a couple very load revving cars early in the evening, the highway noise was minimal. Slept well. Easy to get to even in a big rig towing. Patk has wide roads and great pull thru. Will definitely stay again.

Neighbor who I assume is a permanent resident had dogs off leash. They jumped on my wife soiling her clothes. Site not at all level. Rear wheels of rv off ground. Fire pit full of cig butts.

The Texarkana Koa was a great place for us to stop overnight on our travels. It is super easy access to I-30 and the sites were well enough spaced that you aren't on top of one another. Because of its easy access to the highway, there was some road noise, but we have fans for that very reason. It has nice trees and there was plenty of room to walk the dog. We would stay again.

I specifically choose KOA whenever possible because i usually know what to count on. This location is a little old and could use some spiffing up, but I would probably stay again if it fit the time and place requirements as it did this time.

Not only was the mattress in the cabin about 1,000x better than any of those slabs of solid rock they try to pass off as a damn mattress at most hotels, it came with sheets and pillows too! Our cabin was clean, the ladies at the front desk were nice, it was overall a great place to stay. The only downside is the location, it's right next to a feeder road so you get some road noise. It would be a bigger deal for tent campers, but trailers and those like us with cabins have a bit of insulation so it wasn't terrible.
