Older park. Gravel roads and parking slots really need repair but are useable. Store is almost worthless…this should be fixed. Travelers have to compete with residents for laundry. This is inexcusable for a Journey KOA. Location for travelers is very convenient.

Such a nice, clean, well-run KOA! My brother was in a nearby hospital, so I parked my Airstream there for less than ideal reasons. That said, the staff bent over backward to make sure I had a trouble-free stay, even when I needed to extend a couple of times. Love this park!

Very conveniently located on I35! And except for a couple very load revving cars early in the evening, the highway noise was minimal. Slept well. Easy to get to even in a big rig towing. Patk has wide roads and great pull thru. Will definitely stay again.

Neighbor who I assume is a permanent resident had dogs off leash. They jumped on my wife soiling her clothes. Site not at all level. Rear wheels of rv off ground. Fire pit full of cig butts.

The Texarkana Koa was a great place for us to stop overnight on our travels. It is super easy access to I-30 and the sites were well enough spaced that you aren't on top of one another. Because of its easy access to the highway, there was some road noise, but we have fans for that very reason. It has nice trees and there was plenty of room to walk the dog. We would stay again.

Convenient location with nice level sites. Good utilities. Laundry was clean and functional. Bathrooms were clean and functional but not very handicap accessible. For those that complain about highway noise… you’re conveniently right of the freeway, you know this when you go. We will be back!!!

Quick response to my call. Just an overnight stay. Pull through site, a little short for my travel trailer and truck, but convenient for quick in and out. Pad and ground uneven but doable.

While Texarkana KOA is listed as a KOA Journey Campground and there is a small (15 sites) area next to the highway for smaller RVs, I would classify this place as a mobile home park rather than a KOA. The site we were given was in among old mobile homes, double-wides, and old RVs that had been there awhile, all in bad condition. We strongly urge KOA to reevaluate this campground’s KOA status.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Actually the over night area is 39 sites and 12 of those are over 66 feet long. We have one pull thru site that is in the long term area, and some people really like it because it is further from the road noise.

Nice KOA with level spots. We arrived late so can't speak towards the front desk but everything was ready for us. I have stayed here before and will stay again on my journeys out east.

After reading some of the reviews, I was a bit apprehensive about my stay. Fortunately I decided to see for myself. The park is clean & tidy with lots of lovely trees. There is freeway noise but it is a convenient location with easy access. The only suggestion I have would be to the park brochure (rules, Wi-Fi code, laundry room info) at your site or by the office door.

A really great place to stay on your road trip i gave 4 stars because the wifi is useless and in a modern world there should be a better internet connection. But at the end of the day would definitely stay again

We only spent one nite but our site was leave .The staff was very friendly and professional. I highly recommend that you stay here. Hopefully you can spend more time then we did.We will be back in the future. Thank you for a great stay.

This is a great RV park! The location is right off the highway, it's clean, well-marked, has up-to-date hookups, and was easy to get in and out of. The management made it really easy to book a reservation and communicated all the information I needed. I'm going to join KOA due to my experience with this RV park!

Never saw anyone from KOA. Received a phone call from the church office before we arrived. Told us our site number and how to get to it. Told us we did not need to go to the office upon check in. Internet was not good. Required a 3rd party sign in. The c g looked like an extension of a trailer park. Won’t stay or recommend again in our trips going east.

Everything went well, no issues checking in. However the bathrooms/showers were not in the best condition and no shower curtains so difficult to shower without all of your stuff getting wet. Also, while the freeway noise was not really an issue, the train coming through(which I'm sure you have no control over) almost every hour throughout the night made it impossible to not wake up everytime.

Nice campground. Bath/laundry facilities very clean. But homeless women sleeping on picnic table. Also when filling out reservation’s online I put down to use reward points on total but it took the full price. Very confusing even for clerk at the KOA

Homeless sleeping right outside your window, literally. Homeless sleeping on the picnic table outside our camper. Called the front office. Was told he would take care of it. Nothing done. I don’t pay a premium price for a camp site to deal with this. I did not feel safe. The traffics noise wasbad, if not the traffic noise its the train running every hour. I specifically choose KOA whenever possible because i usually know what to count on. This location is a little old and could use some spiffing up, but I would probably stay again if it fit the time and place requirements as it did this time.

Not only was the mattress in the cabin about 1,000x better than any of those slabs of solid rock they try to pass off as a damn mattress at most hotels, it came with sheets and pillows too! Our cabin was clean, the ladies at the front desk were nice, it was overall a great place to stay. The only downside is the location, it's right next to a feeder road so you get some road noise. It would be a bigger deal for tent campers, but trailers and those like us with cabins have a bit of insulation so it wasn't terrible.
