Very clean. Nice upgrades to the sites that have rock pads to park on. All staff is very friendly and helpful

This is a great area covered with oak trees and and every amenity. There are some new sites opening with a brick fireplace at each one!! Never have I seen that before. Staff was excellent, very helpful and welcoming.

Always a great time at Vail Lake! I would recommend to any family who is looking to have a great time. A couple of issues would be the out of date restrooms (although they were clean) and the bumpy roads up on the Chardonnay area and part of the Oaks, hopefully they will continue the renovations throughout the campground.

We really enjoyed our campsite and the KOA campground with the amentities. We plan on staying again next Thanksgiving.

A really nice getaway for the holiday weekend. Lots of weekend activities to participate in. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Wonder set up. We all had a great time. Bathrooms were maintained well, even though we didn't need them. Trash pick up was timely. Park bar, cafe and shop were all a great delight! We look forward to our next trip since we're just down in San Diego!

We've stayed here before and we keep on coming back. We really enjoy are stay. All of the staff is friendly and helpful. The campground is always very well maintained.

Great time had by all. Love all the improvements being made since it became a KOA.

Great facility! Have been camping here during Thanksgiving for 9 years. Looking forward to next Thanksgiving.

Enjoyed our stay. Would recommend adding more pickleball courts.

My daughter loves the train ride, thrifty ice cream, she was so excited to meet buddy the Elf & talk to Mr. & Mrs Claus (highlights for sure). Definitely some features that can't be beat at any other campsites. The adults my husband & I definitely love the bar but were very impressed w)the sites getting the pavers. Looks so beautiful. We can't wait for new years.

We always have such a good time at Vail Lake. Always friendly and welcoming.

My interactions with the staff were great. All very friendly and helpful. My reason for 4 stars was the noise factor. It was very noisy. Quiet hours were not enforced. Kids UNDER driving age constantly racing around on the golf carts NOT with supervision. Blaring music. When driving around I saw there were quieter spots.

I love that it's family friendly and there are a good amount of activities for kids to do. My only complaint is there were a lot of people driving way too fast in golf carts and on electric bikes. I was afraid my toddler was going to get hit

Always enjoy our stay at Vail. Stayed in The Oaks area this time and wifi is really spotty so makes it difficult if needing to work but went to other areas and it worked.

It was great. Been going there for years, even before it was a KOA. Such a beautiful setting.

Unfortunately our neighbors across the way ruined the last two nights of our trip with their loud and obnoxious karaoke. I did finally talk to the office about them on the second night but by that point everyone in our group had gone inside to try to escape the noise. I was also incredibly disappointed that the 10:00 form turn in time was incorrect and reservations were accepted at 8:00 instead!

Unfortunately, this is the third time that a family member gets targeted by one of the KOA employees regarding driving our personal golf cart. They are pulled over and informed that all drivers must be 16 and over with a valid license and/or permit; both times the drivers have been 16. when we have observed 10 and 12 years old driving and no one questions them. Racism.

We had a good stay. The park is clean and well appointed. The RV Sites are a good size and well separated. My only complaint is that we were in Chardonay Site #56 and Face to Face with our Neighbours, who were good people and a nice family. Also the fire rings were not well positioned, they were grouped together closer to sites 60 & 61, far away and to the rear of our Site #56. Bummer That!

From the moment we arrived, it was chaotic. The employees at the first booth didn't know where to send us and the ones at the main store were confused why they sent us to them. Once we got to our assigned site, it was occupied even though it was about 3 hours after check out. The employees basically told us to figure it out and we were responsible for making the people leave. Do better KOA.

Overall very nice stay for a big family get together. I do wish the pool was heated and there were more kid’s activities. My biggest complaints however are with the cabin. Overall the cabin was great but the upstairs loft had not been cleaned well prior to our arrival as there were food wrappers and food crumbs under the bed. The ADA compliant shower was awful to use.
