The staff and grounds are both great. Downfall is how loud people play music. Neighbors had loud music until 1am. Wish that was controlled better.

Our group consisting of 4 families with kids had the absolute best time at Vail Lake! We can’t wait to go back!

Barrel ride was awesome but the drivers need to slow down going over speed bumps. My kid bounced her head off the back rest. We also camped near the route and the guys driving would slow down for the cart to traverse the speed bump but the last last barrel would get airborne and anyone riding m the back would fly out of their seats.

Fun family location, lots of families with kids. Facility was clean and organized and had lots of extras to do for the kids. More than any other campsite we’ve ever been too.

Very clean. Nice upgrades to the sites that have rock pads to park on. All staff is very friendly and helpful

This is a great area covered with oak trees and and every amenity. There are some new sites opening with a brick fireplace at each one!! Never have I seen that before. Staff was excellent, very helpful and welcoming.

We love the trees in the campground and roomy camp sites. Knocked off 1 star—miniature gold can use fresh artificial greens We hope to come back after the revitalization!

Arroyo is pricey to not have electricity, but there were good activities at the clubhouse for the kids over Thanksgiving weekend. Arrived at my campsite and someone was occupying it, but the office was very quick to remedy the situation. The bike trails are awesome and getting even better! You just just need to install a playground.

Always a great time at Vail Lake! I would recommend to any family who is looking to have a great time. A couple of issues would be the out of date restrooms (although they were clean) and the bumpy roads up on the Chardonnay area and part of the Oaks, hopefully they will continue the renovations throughout the campground.

A really nice getaway for the holiday weekend. Lots of weekend activities to participate in. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Wonder set up. We all had a great time. Bathrooms were maintained well, even though we didn't need them. Trash pick up was timely. Park bar, cafe and shop were all a great delight! We look forward to our next trip since we're just down in San Diego!

We thought our site, 337 (Arroyo Secco) had sewer however it did not. We cut our stay short because of this. Disappointed but we otherwise enjoyed our stay.

We've stayed here before and we keep on coming back. We really enjoy are stay. All of the staff is friendly and helpful. The campground is always very well maintained.

Beautiful rv park, looks like improvements are coming and I hope they don’t change the park’s character. Employee at the entrance gate for check in seemed a little unsure about check in procedure, everything else was great!

We love the location and all the activities. The Customer Service in the gift shop was horrible! They were beyond rude on multiple occasions.

My daughter loves the train ride, thrifty ice cream, she was so excited to meet buddy the Elf & talk to Mr. & Mrs Claus (highlights for sure). Definitely some features that can't be beat at any other campsites. The adults my husband & I definitely love the bar but were very impressed w)the sites getting the pavers. Looks so beautiful. We can't wait for new years.

My interactions with the staff were great. All very friendly and helpful. My reason for 4 stars was the noise factor. It was very noisy. Quiet hours were not enforced. Kids UNDER driving age constantly racing around on the golf carts NOT with supervision. Blaring music. When driving around I saw there were quieter spots.

I love that it's family friendly and there are a good amount of activities for kids to do. My only complaint is there were a lot of people driving way too fast in golf carts and on electric bikes. I was afraid my toddler was going to get hit

Always enjoy our stay at Vail. Stayed in The Oaks area this time and wifi is really spotty so makes it difficult if needing to work but went to other areas and it worked.

Unfortunately our neighbors across the way ruined the last two nights of our trip with their loud and obnoxious karaoke. I did finally talk to the office about them on the second night but by that point everyone in our group had gone inside to try to escape the noise. I was also incredibly disappointed that the 10:00 form turn in time was incorrect and reservations were accepted at 8:00 instead!

This koa and dripping springs are our go to camp areas in southern cal.The staff is great,and the showers are hot.

I've been camping here about 5 times. From full hookup sites to partial. I have thoroughly loved every site we've had. The staff is always friendly, and the amenities are unbeatable.
