We really enjoyed all of the lush and colorful landscaping that was in place between the sites. It made up for the sites being so close together and a little bit on the small side. It was definitely a very clean park throughout. I appreciate that they sent someone over to check the pool when it started to get crowded.

Campground was always nice but with the renovations it is now the best in the keys.

April and Mike down at the Marina were simply amazing! They made our stay!! They both were always so kind and helpful. We look forward to our return next March and seeing them both again!

The place is beautiful!! It is clean sites are clean pool area clean. The only issue is the only grass there is is outside the park. Also the mosquitos are unbearable I have Uber 100 bites I’m me I will return if they get a fumigation system to do the park and the dog area and grass areas right outside the park . You can’t even enjoy the evening because of the mosquitos!!!!!

4 night stay in RV.. Enjoyable stay. Nice amenities. Good location to Key West. Beach not as pretty as pictures represent but fortunately other beach options are close by. Wish there were better options for groceries locally.

We stayed at a beautiful waterfront campsite. The beach sand was groomed every morning. Grounds were beautiful. Beach is rocky. The showers were pristine. The hot tub was big enough to swim in. I gave 4 stars because the food was just alright. I expected better food selections and quality. 3/4 bartenders were friendly- one was not. The marina workers were very helpful/ friendly! City bus great!

We had a very wonderful stay this June (2023)! We have been camping as a family for over 3 decades and I can honestly say that this campground is in our top 3 of the 60 plus places we've camped. It is outstanding how the entire campground has been refurbished in the past year or so. This campground has everything you could want on site and if you need more you can find it within a couple of miles

We had a wonderful stay! Beautiful campground and friendly staff. Only negative was that the pool water was way too warm. A pool cooler is needed for the summer months. We will definitely make this place a frequent stay!

Not dog friendly- there is no live grass to be found anywhere-on your site or the dog park. The artificial grass in the dog park smells pretty bad. There is no beach access for dogs to swim either. It’s too hot to run the pups during the day, and the pavement and rocks are not “paw” friendly. Just seemed like there was no where for them to go. Also, The little black biting bugs are horrifi

As always, another great long weekend with you. Great to see the first building up and running and charging stations in the covered parking area - awesome! The staff is always amazing, loved my Happy Hour margaritas, and Jim and April at the marina are always so attentive - thanks!

This is absolutely one of the very BEST campgrounds we have stayed at. It was Beautiful, Clean,Great Amenities and the Friendliest staff ever! Every staff member we encountered spoke and talked with us (either on duty or off) which is rare now a days. Loved that you deliver ice to the campsite! Will definitely be recommending to all our friends and family! Thank You For A Great Vacation!

The front desk staff was very welcoming upon arrival, and the team that kept the park maintained and cleaned up was excellent and very helpful! Park was BEAUTIFUL and very well kept! This will likely be a yearly visit for us!

We rented a pull through patio site. It was very private and well maintained. The swimming pool area was great. Everyone was very friendly. We stayed side by side with our friends who have a 36 foot camper. The sites we stayed in are very close to the new vacation rentals which made it hard to pull out due to the construction fencing. That was the only down side!

My wife and I had a wonderful stay at KOA Sugarloaf Key. The campground is beautifully maintained and the staff is very friendly. The pool water was warm but given this time of the year it’s not surprising. We didn’t partake in the evening events at the pool bar but I heard they were great. I especially like the yellow band you have to wear in the pool to identify guests who are actually guest

We camp all over the Keys and have since 1970! KOA Sugarloaf looks great since being rebuilt, however… The pool~ although gorgeous is extremely HOT ALREADY. Not refreshing AT ALL & felt just like the hottub. I heard many other guests complain over 2 wks. It should have a chiller installed like other campgrounds have down there. Also- the beach is so rocky. It needs sand, it’s painful to walk

The sites are well maintained and landscaping is beautiful. The pool and bar area is a great place to spend the afternoon. The pool chaise lounge chairs are a bit uncomfortable after a period of time. Also, no umbrellas at the pool. Would definitely recommend a stay at this campground

Loved our time at SugarLoaf Key KOA. The resort is beautiful, loved the lush landscape, the beach area and pool. My only complaint would be the Noseeum’s and mosquitoes this put a damper on our nightly social time outdoors . Maybe some additional spaying would help with this problem..

Second time we have stayed at Sugarloaf; the best KOA . The only issue this time was the biting bugs! Not able to leave our camper from dusk on. Did not see any spraying but the tiny black flying bugs and mosquitoes are brutal. Did not have any issue with bugs last October so we will be staying in cooler months in future. That said, the staff, amenities and sites are outstanding

Very friendly staff they even corralled out two 130+ lbs Great Danes when one of them figured out how to unlock and open the door. Super nice park with staff that will go above and beyond.

At booking we paid extra to be guaranteed a certain boat slip. We later learned we were given a different slip. Eventually this was rectified by the staff calling the other boat owner & switching the slips. Also, when you reserve a boat slip, there should be room on the premises to store your trailer. Putting a new boat trailer on a road is not safe NOR secure. It will NOT happen again.

Amazing resort. Amenities are top notch and the layout and landscaping of the campground is perfect. The landscaping between sites gives you a very private feel. This is one of the best parks we have ever camped and will definitely come back!

My husband and I just got back from our stay at Sugarloaf. It was everything we have been told and more. From check in to check out, the staff was always there to help with a smile. The grounds are amazing. There is not a bad spot, every site is clean and well maintained. The pool is beautiful, live music and bar area is very nice and the store has everything you would need if something was forgotten. We met so many wonderful fellow campers and we've booked for next year.

Everyday in the Keys are PARADISE!!! This island resort has 2 beautiful new hotels with large suites to accommodate your family. Fully stocked Marina for all your fishing needs,also has boats, paddle boards, kayaks, bikes, pedal carts for rent. Sandy Beach with loungers and inflatable water floats to play on. The pool is so well landscaped you wouldn't believe your in the middle of a RV resort!!!! There's a enormously large hot tub, lounge areas around gas fire pits, hammocks hidden in the beautiful lounge area to just relax in the shade and forget about everything. The Pub,Store & Cafe are great amenities and all centrally located by the pool. This is Glamping in the Island Keys!!!!

I almost don't want to review this KOA because everyone will want to go. This is an AMAZING campground. The staff work tirelessly to keep the park clean and they are all super friendly and helpful. The amenities are outstanding from the activities, rental items( boats, kayaks, bikes) to the full liquor BAR and live music. The camp store has everything if you forgot to pack something and offer quick bites to eat. The location is perfect for a quick day trip to Key West. Can't wait to go back!
