We have been coming to the Keys for Thanksgiving for over 25 years now. We stayed at Sugarloaf KOA many years ago before the hurricane took it out. We decided to give it a try this year and we were not disappointed. Our site was wonderful, plenty of privacy and the staff everywhere was very pleasant and professional. We had no issues and will return again. GREAT JOB!

The people, the accommodations were great! Probably the nicest KOA we have visited. The only negative, and it was significant even for SWFL natives, were the No Seeums. Horrible. All else was great. Thank you!

We RV alot, this has to be the best one we ever stayed at. Clean, organized, has everything, pool and bar area top of the line like a top notch resort. We have camped here 3 times in the last three years and can't wait to return.

My family and I come here at least twice a year. Everytime is amazing. Great amenities for the space they have. Somehow they make the RV spots private with all the perfectly planned landscaping. The marina, bait shop, boat ramp, pool, bar, and daily activities are great. My only complaint- Allow guest to charge a credit card on file as opposed to having to bring cash or credit card to the pool.

We love this KOA. The employees here are all very helpful and friendly. The amenities are great and the location can't be beat. The landscaping and is beautiful and the facilities are always clean. I would recommend to anyone.

The staff at the Sugerloaf Key KOA are all great people, especially the social director. She is a wonderful lady. If this KOA was more affordable for me, I would have stayed the whole winter there. However, as with all of us, cost is always a factor. The only problem I had there was with an infestation of ants. No matter what I did or used, I always had a number of those critters in my trailer.

Stayed for 6 nights over Thanksgiving. enjoyed our stay. The only problem we had was the bugs. Our legs are terribly bitten up and itchy. Unfortunately we were unable to sit outside in the evening to enjoy the evenings. But bugs were out all day long. I’m not sure what you can do about them.

We had the best time. Every site is great. The staff is friendly and helpful. Every night there was a fun event, bingo, live bands, trivia and more. We loved the Thanksgiving meal and felt cared for. The pool and bar are clean and enjoyable. We already booked for next year and can’t wait. Beautiful campground!

I was very much pleased with the whole experience. I have stayed at many KOA in the past and have to say that this one has to be one of the nicest KOA campgrounds I have stayed at. Very clean!! There was a lot of activity at the pool bar and entertainment as well. Will definitely be coming back. Thank you for a great time..

The office & ground staff are very professional. The grounds are nice but the landscaping is WAY overgrown, creating a smaller space for the RV & attracting more mosquitoes /noseeums making the stay uncomfortable. Not enough lighting throughout the grounds.

The location is pretty but tiny, pool was crowed all day, hot tub imposible to go. Quiet time was not respected. There was a big family crowd that was loud, kids in the middle of the road without supervison. The staff in charge of trash pickup was not friendly.

As always, KOA Sugarloaf Key is a wonderful stay. It is a well maintained facility and close to everything that is Southern Keys. Staff is attentive and helpful. If you can accept the high price tag, this is the place to stay in the lower Keys.

Everything was phenomenal and the staff was so friendly and helpful with the exception of the blonde woman who was in the office yesterday morning, 11/26/23, around check-out time. The way she spoke to me and to my elderly father early that morning was rude and inappropriate! I am a local resident of Sugarloaf Key and put my parents up for 4 nights in one of your vacation rentals.

KOA knocked it out of the park, Very welcoming and friendly staff. Cleanliness was top notch along with the amenities. Would recommend to anyone.

Good morning, our stay was amazing and your facility is the nicest KOA we have visited from New England to California and we have been to many. Unfortunately the day we left was not so great when we experienced a flat tire on our trailer. We have a photo from the day we arrived and the tire was fully inflated but after driving by your construction area we picked up a skew (see text message)

Our second time staying. It's 5 star clean! Wow what an amazing job the crew does to ensure the grounds, pool area, and bathrooms are top notch clean. Would love to see a restaurant on site. I would not recommend the pub food. Great drink selection from the bar! The dock was very difficult to use as the mangroves are way too close to the docks. Another great holiday in the keys! Thankyo

We absolutely enjoyed our stay! From the employees, to the site, landscaping and of course, Thanksgiving dinner, was fantastic. The resort could not have been better kept and clean. Having a restaurant/bar onsite was incredible. My only negative which is not the KOA fault, is staying on the gulf side has better kayaking, fishing and beautiful tropical fish. Did I mention incredible employees!

we stayed for 3 nights over thanksgiving holiday 2023 and it was wonderful. Very clean resort style campground. Loved that each campsite has white stones so there is no tracking dirt in and out of your camper. The pool is awesome, the pub is great too. And the campground provided turkey and ham and campers provided sides for a wonderful thanksgiving meal. We will definitely go back again.

Great KOA nice location very well kept and very nice staff. Their staff was more than friendly and everywhere taking care of the place. Only one negative and even though very beautiful landscaping some of the placement wasn't site friendly. We enjoyed our stay there.

A most enjoyable stay! This was the nicest RV resort we have ever stayed in. Modern, clean, great site landscaping, attentive and friendly staff. A really nice pool/games/bar area. While a little pricey, good value for money.

The campground is beautifully arranged and everything was clean and way better than average. The only tho things that left could be improved were the flushing mechanism on the pissoirs and the crazy high amount of no-see-ems. The latter really made us loose our nerves and consider cutting our visit to your otherwise almost perfect campsite short.

Beautiful campground. Landscaping was amazing however it tends to be intrusive when accessing storage. The foliage spills far into the site and made it hard to get into the undercarriage. Also need to make sure large rigs get the correct size site. I barely fit at 45’ and my door opened into the rocks making it difficult to get in and out. Otherwise the amenities and staff were great!

Beautiful place, price high for small site located in bush area, no room to hook up. Had to climb rocks and bushes to get to hoookups. I would give a better rating but was not total happy with site, many better sites available when we were there.

Beautifully landscaped and well maintained. Great facilities and pleasant, conscientious staff. Pool area is fabulous, and many opportunities for community activities.. Sites are well spaced and easy to access. Marina and rental opportunities are abundant. We very much enjoyed our beach-front site. Rates under $200 might result in higher occupancy. Less than 40% the week before Thanksgiving.

There weren’t many Amenities for the kids to do. The day we checked out we were told in order to stay in the pool area we had to pay 50.00 for late check out. I’ve stayed at koas all my life and have never been charge to stay in the campgrounds using the amenities on check out day, normally we check out of the cabins and still get to use the amenities

Everyday in the Keys are PARADISE!!! This island resort has 2 beautiful new hotels with large suites to accommodate your family. Fully stocked Marina for all your fishing needs,also has boats, paddle boards, kayaks, bikes, pedal carts for rent. Sandy Beach with loungers and inflatable water floats to play on. The pool is so well landscaped you wouldn't believe your in the middle of a RV resort!!!! There's a enormously large hot tub, lounge areas around gas fire pits, hammocks hidden in the beautiful lounge area to just relax in the shade and forget about everything. The Pub,Store & Cafe are great amenities and all centrally located by the pool. This is Glamping in the Island Keys!!!!

I almost don't want to review this KOA because everyone will want to go. This is an AMAZING campground. The staff work tirelessly to keep the park clean and they are all super friendly and helpful. The amenities are outstanding from the activities, rental items( boats, kayaks, bikes) to the full liquor BAR and live music. The camp store has everything if you forgot to pack something and offer quick bites to eat. The location is perfect for a quick day trip to Key West. Can't wait to go back!
