Great location on the Yampa River. This KOA has been upgraded in recent years, with new pull through patio sites and cabins added. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Nice people, helpful. Be sure to have a water pressure regulator. We just kept the tap low and had no problems.

Loved the access to Bike Trail. Fishing was awesome. Clean bathrooms and easy checking. Bus to town! We’ll be back for sure.

Scenery amazing on the river. Charged for extra pet(had 2). Would not check us in early 1 1/2 hour even tho spot available without 25$ fee. Nor would they let you wait there. Campground very clean

I am my camping group of several RVers were highly disappointed that when we arrived a bit early, ie, before the 2 pm check in time we were turned away and told to park down the street until 2 PM. Our sites were available and we were not allowed in. I will ensure our camping group never uses this KOA again. Highly disappointing, does not lead to any customer satisfaction.

We walked into the office at 12:25pm, and were told,we couldn't check in until 1:00pm and that it would be an additional $25.00, because check in time was 2:00pm. We were also told we could talk our 35 foot 5th wheel and park down the highway after driving for hours we felt it was VERY RUDE! We have traveled to 100's of rv parks and have NEVER been treated this way.

It was quick. Arrived after hours. Filled out the form for the campsite we chose. Ate dinner. Took shower. Immediately went to bed. Left at 5am for Rocky Mountain NP We plan to return here. Hosts are well organized even though we didn’t meet them!

Candy was so kind when I made my original reservation. I called a few times before my arrival for details about the site and was always greeted with a cheerful and helpful voice. We asked about cleaning our grill so we could cook on it and they immediately sent over a gentleman to clean it and was ernest in wanting to make sure it was satisfactory. We stayed September 23 through the 25th. The morning we were leaving, a dump truck and digger we’re doing work with and 10 to 20 feet of where we were having breakfast at our cabin. The dump truck was scheduled to unload tons of Rock to be placed near the river. It was loud, dangerous, for my two young children and Threatened Health with the amount of dust in the air. Unacceptable and Unsafe.

If you like to be woken up by traffic and disturbed by a bus stop right behind you with a bus coming every 20 mn stay here! It didn’t help that we got the worse site in camp but most of the sites are along the noisy highway. We requested a move and got a promise that someone would call us to facilitate. No call. We then requested a refund for the second night. No refunds. We forfeited $79 and le

Welcoming staff! This KOA is clean and well-kept—lots of grassy areas and trees. We took the city bus to the restaurants and shopping area. It was a great perk to our stay. I gave a rating of four because our site was close to the highway and noisy. Next time, I would ask for a spot on the other side of the campground.

We have stayed at a number of KOA campgrounds over many years of RV’ing. The KOA in Steamboat Springs is now our favorite! It is pristine! The wonderful folks who run it are so polite, helpful, and professional. And the new section of the park is stunning and so well laid out. We highly, highly recommend this KOA for anyone who is looking for an outstanding RV destination! Thank you!

What a pleasant surprise it was to find that the KOA had been fully updated with sites across the river bridge! Tar pads with cement patios, grills, fire pits and comfy Adirondack chairs with a dining table. We’ve stayed here many times years ago and love all that they have done. To top it off, the staff was wonderful! We’ll be back soon!

We loved our stay at the KOA in steamboat. Location is great. Staff was wonderful. We we steps away from the Yappa river. We will definitely stay here again when we are back to Steamboat!

Disappointing...First time at this park. Stayed in the island RV spots. Either plant grass or put down gravel. Except for the RV parking spot everything else is dirt which turns to mud when it rains.

Beautiful campground with lots of amenities. My son had a camping spot and I had a deluxe cabin-both were awesome. The cabin was cleaned and well-maintained, with kitchen supplies, toilet paper and soap. Staff were great, contacting us to give details for late check-in. Store next to office is great!

Great option to stay in town in the winter. We travel in our Sprinter 144 and there are not a lot of options for stealth camping in the winter. On one of our nights the temp dropped dramatically and well below the forecast. Woke up with a nearly dead battery and some diesel that was gelled. The staff supplied me with a trickle charger and a propane heater to point towards the undercarriage. Got the engine running in now time. The guys there helped me out big time.
