Small cramped sites. Could be a wonderful place so close to Steamboat but it need a lot of help! Would not stay here again.

WE had called and spoken to Elizabeth in an effort to extend our stay from 1 night to 2. She was able to do so and confirmed this change and even said when we arrive if we decide to add a 3rd day we could. Well when we arrived none of that occurred. First, the change from 1 to 2 nights did not happen. They said we could accommodate you if you move sites. This is a very poorly run KOA!

We stayed in the newer section of the campground. There was decent space between each spot, the patio area was nice with a fire pit and gas grill. The staff was very helpful. They even helped us use the provided air compressor to inflate tubes for floating down the River.

Very crowded and small campsites. The women’ s bathroom floor was wet all the time and messy. Enjoyed the beautiful scenery and the city bus into town though.

1st impressions are lasting. We arrived early & told there would be an early check-in fee of $25. We asked why & were told that mgmt doesn't allow early check-ins even if the site is ready & there is no one waiting. We've never experienced this at the many KOAs we've stayed in. The propane tank was empty, but filled quickly. Our site was lovely & the crew were helpful/friendly!

It would have been nice to know when booking that my assigned tent campsite might be next to the highway. In the end, it was directly next to the highway and made for a relatively unpleasant camp stay. Otherwise, amenities were nice and the campground was conveniently located to downtown steamboat.

The rustic tent site was extremely small and had zero privacy. You were only feet to maybe inches away from the adjacent tent campsite. No fire pits or picnic tables at these sites which was a bummer. The shuttle amenity that the KOA is very helpful. Overall a good stay, but strict quiet hours where you are unable to talk outside at a normal level due to proximity of other campers

We stayed in camp spot 46. They did not tell us what camp spot we had till we got there. Our camp fire pit was 3 feet away from our neighbors camp fire pit. BAD design. We love our camp fire at night but not that close to our neighbors. When I asked if we could be moved the manager was ugly about us moving. Better attitude would have helped. We have gone to this KOA yearly. We will not be back!

I appreciated getting the last spot on a 4th of July weekend. That said, I'm mobility handicapped and there was no way for me to get to the shower house; too far to walk. Golf carts lifts declined because of liability reasons. No information given by front desk personnel about parking closer to the shower house. Extra fees charged seemed profit valued more than guest.

Love the area! More sites, cabins, etc were added so it’s cramped and there’s not enough bathrooms. Bathrooms need upgraded. Love being next to the river.

The bus to Steamboat was a nice bonus. The RV that parked next to us was so close, the awning on our trailer couldn’t be opened fully to keep the sun out of our trailer. There was space for the RV to park that wasn’t so close. Staff gave basic information at check-in: bathroom and Wi-Fi codes. No information about the bus, activities at the KOA or where to park downtown to avoid early checkin

Great campground. Friendly and helpful staff. The only issue we had while we were there was the lady in the campsite across the roadway who smoked like a chimney. It would be great if there were designated smoking sites DOWNWIND from everyone else.

Very nice facility and close to town. Totally surprised though of an "early arrival" charge when we arrived at 1:36 pm and were told to either pay a $25.00 charge for the 24 minutes early arrival or leave and come back at 2:00 pm at check in time. We have a big rig to turn around to just leave so we just sat out front and a yellow shirted employee told us to move. Staff was very unfriendly.

The campground and facilities were very clean and nice. The sites are a little packed together and a lot of people didn't respect the quiet hours which made it hard to sleep. The location was good too and easy to get to places. Just wish there was a bit more privacy, especially for the price we had to pay.

Beautiful campground with lots of amenities. My son had a camping spot and I had a deluxe cabin-both were awesome. The cabin was cleaned and well-maintained, with kitchen supplies, toilet paper and soap. Staff were great, contacting us to give details for late check-in. Store next to office is great!

Great option to stay in town in the winter. We travel in our Sprinter 144 and there are not a lot of options for stealth camping in the winter. On one of our nights the temp dropped dramatically and well below the forecast. Woke up with a nearly dead battery and some diesel that was gelled. The staff supplied me with a trickle charger and a propane heater to point towards the undercarriage. Got the engine running in now time. The guys there helped me out big time.
