A beautiful park, owners were very accommodating. Close to Springfield, but small country charm. Liked the free use of bikes for our grandkids.

The campground is shady and well maintained. We enjoyed our stay and thankful they were able to extend our stay. Will definitely be back!

The staff were very kind and helpful. The restrooms were nice and clean as was our cabin. There was plenty of things to do for our Grandkids and if we ever get back that way we will stay there again.

Cute, small campground several miles off the highway. Quiet, well kept. Loved the cabin that included TV, refrig, microwave and a very efficient air conditioner! Also some very beautiful parks, nature areas and large lake nearby. I could have stayed for several days!

Bathroom shower heads are gross, house next door is junkie, dumpster was overflowing and stuck so bad from far away, water and electric plug ins were so far from each other. Thank goodness we had an extension cord. Nice enough for one night but we'll look elsewhere if in the area. Not a repeat for us. I know it's probably hard for journeys to compete with holidays, Price is about the same and

On the last night of our seven week trip we had the pleasure of staying at Journey KOA in Rochester. Of all the campgrounds we stayed in over the trip this one was the nicest. Clean, large modern bathrooms, pool, and other amenities. The owners were patient and friendly, accommodating to even the most difficult camper. We will always try to stay there when we’re in the area. Thanks!

Did not like the site I was put on #47. Had a HUGE electrical box right in the middle of the site. This is not my first time staying at this KOA, but I probably got stuck with the worst site in the campground this time. Will not stay next time, if they put me on that site!

I was very bummed out that the jumping pillow was out of order. That was basically the reason I picked this campground to begin with.

We have been to this KoA several times and it’s one of our favorites! We love this quiet, clean, kid friendly location. Lots to do in the area too with the water park nearby and of course, the Abraham Lincoln exhibits. New owners are working on some improvements and upgrades as well Had a little mix up with our parents reservation, but the staff quickly resolved it, which was appreciated.

Our clean, widely spaced site was shaded by trees, but still nicely sunny. The campground was quiet, and the staff actually picked up a tree limb as they went past in their cart (it was small, seemingly insignificant to others, but they care that much!). The restrooms were spotless and modern, with beautiful tile.This is the first KOA that actually lived up to the KOA name in a decade! Bravo!

We enjoyed ourselves immensely, we had all the amenities we needed. The pool was great. The showers and bathrooms were always clean. Adam and all the employees were helpful and friendly.

Very friendly staff. This KOA is in an awesome location. The road there is shrouded with trees and the KOA itself feels like a little forest hideout. There were so many amenities here including a full playground, banana bikes, a jumping castle, and a pool. My campsite also had power outlets right next to it and great wifi. Facilities were very clean and the camp was just beautiful.

The owner, Adam, put us in a site that was to small for our rig. Site was 13.5 feet wide, our rig is 14.5 feet wide. There was no way we could squeeze in there. Adam did not work with us, even though we tried to explain to him a tent site wasn't going to work for our rig.

All the site and camp spots roads need upgrading and leveling. Site does not drain well. So in a heavy rain you are stepping out in water.

The host and hostess were friendly, helpful and accommodating. They made us feel so welcome. Restrooms were super clean--- like the separate shower and dressing area. Good shower pressure. Quiet location, plenty of trees.

Wonderful 2 day stay in the deluxe cabin with 1/2 bath. Staff in the office were very nice. Will definitely be back.

Great time, very clean bathrooms and office area. Beautiful pool. Lawn was mowed and clean, no trash on the ground. Will definitely stay again.

Relaxing stay in a nice spacious and clean site. Enjoyed swimming in the warm pool and watching the kids play mini golf and ride the banana bikes!

It's out in the country but phone reception is good so you can use maps to find historical Lincoln spots in Springfield, and other places you might need. New owner is working hard on making improvements. He is very helpful and friendly. I do suggest recycling should be added to all KOA campgrounds.

Very nice owners. The pool & showers were very nice & clean! The mini golf area needs a bit of updating but I know the new owners are working hard to polish up the area. We’ll be back!

Second time staying here. First time with the new management. Very friendly and came and checked on us after our late checkin. Upgraded us no extra to gravel pull-through instead of grassy backin. So much rain lately. Quiet and off the beaten path. Only problem is the water has so much silt in it. So glad we still had water with us. We will be back again!

I stay at your KOA each year on my way to EAA Oshkosh WI Your campground it one of the most favorite places to stay , but when you can more work needs to be on low spots around power plugs and drainage. I highly recommend your campground to all who ask me good place to stay (GREAT PLACE TO STAY)

This is a nice little campground. Lots of things for the kids to do. The service was Great! When we arrived, we asked if there were any sites with trees (its been VERY not lately) and the person who was working in the office was super accommodating. I would definitely recommend this place if you are in the area.

This is a nice clean Campground with new owners. They are the nicest people. They are obviously working on making many improvements, but the camp sites are nice and clean with shade and well kept grass. The pool was a godsend as it was in the 90s when we were there. The boys loved the banana bikes and mini golf which was free for now. Nice setting with super nice owners.

Well off the beaten path and away from highway noise and traffic. Well maintained and the owner was super nice. We were only there for one night so we didn't use the restrooms or other facilties. Internet and cable TV worked well. If your travels take you through Springfield, IL, this campground is well worth stopping at.

Clean and quiet. Well set up. Playgrounds and putt putt etc for the kids. Walmart 15 minutes away. Convenience store on property.

Charming campground, Quiet day and night, for a Journey it is away from the interstate / highway noise. We stayed in our fifth wheel however there are several nice cabins and a Family sized Lodge to stay in as well as secluded tent sites in various locations. Bathrooms and Showers were always clean and stocked. The store has a wide variety of items for your camping needs. New improvements are being made all around the campground and several were in process while we were there however the staff ensured the work did not interfere with any guests or activities. There are several new Electric and Water Paved back in sites while the original sites are in a shaded section and it appears all the trees were trimmed properly to prevent from low hanging branches. We met the owners and they are super nice and treat you well as do the rest of the staff we met. One of the workers (Herman) cruised the park and was always friendly. We would stay there again.
