Didn’t know it was adjacent to a train track. That, combined with garbage pickup at 4:45am made for difficult sleep.

10 stars for this location! The park is small, but has nice amenities. We loved being able to order freshly-made pizza and wings that were delivered to our RV. And Sherri in the office is FABULOUS! All the staff was very friendly and helpful. This location has won the KOA President's Award every year since 2004 and it's easy to see why. They genuinely want their visitors to enjoy their stay!

Loved all the mature shade trees, the pool was very nice and the store/office was nicely stocked. Hook up's were easy. Off the beaten path, it was quiet (but for the train you could hear every so often). It was clean and we felt safe. We will likely return. We only got to stay one night but it was restful.

Stopped for an overnight, very impressed. They even delivered the pizza to our camp site, never had that happen at other places!

The campground was clean and shady. However, it sits right beside a train track with trains going by constantly and also an airport so it was hard to sleep. The camper spots were small and very close together so the kids didn’t have much room to play. We liked the amenities that were offered.

Location being off a township road was a little hard to get to however park was great, staff was amazing and, although there was no restaurants near by, the RV park did offer pizza and wings. Would definately stay again. Level sites. Accommodated our big rig with ease.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Although the campground is on the outskirts of the city, there are restaurants as close as about 5 minutes away. Our pizza and wings are great options as well!

Lots of activities for the kids. Site all cleaned and well kept up with. Staff is friendly and amazing. One of the best KOA we have been at.

50 amp pull thru didn’t have 50 amp power was supposed to but couldn’t handle the load couldn’t run both ac units with out loosing power

This was one of the best all around campgrounds we have stayed in. We were on site 66 which gave us a dog area just for the three sites on the end. But we didn’t need that since there was a huge area to let our doberman run off leash. The grounds were clean and well kept. All the staff were very nice and friendly. And the Hunt Brothers Pizza was delicious. This KOA was relatively close to town.

Campground was fine, amenities fine, employees fine, but the train!! Wish we had at least known to expect it, we could have chosen a spot further away. It should be listed on the website so ppl can make an informed decision on site placement. Not host's fault, but sure would have been great to have known.

This is a nice park, easy to get in and out of for an overnight. There are more permanent residents then usual in a KOA. My only complaint is sites are preassigned (already drawn on the map) so a person who arrives at 10 pm may get a nicer site then the person who arrived at 4 pm. We were assigned a site in full sun when it was in the upper 90s. Our request to move was granted to a shady site.

We had an easy , and quick check-in with an escort to our site. The gentleman at the desk had explained all the facilities and services available to us. The camp store appeared to be well stocked. We ordered pizza and chicken bites from the front desk and it was delivered to our RV in about 30 minutes. Delicious! Great for a couple of tired travelers . This was our second stay at the Springfield K

Very clean. So nice that they pickup your trash at your site. Love all the fully grown trees that provided shade. There are a few sites that are trashy. Probably long time stay people. Be great if they'd clean them up. Would definitely stay here again as long as we were not.close to them.

This rv park is in a very pretty location. We really enjoyed our stay there. The staff were friendly and helpful. We will stay here again if we are in the area again.

Staff are great and hard working to ensure campers have a wonderful experience. Very shady sites and nice pool make this KOA a perfect summer spot. On site pizza and wings delivered right to your campsite was an extra treat!

Excellent! Train was only drawback for sleeping though our grandson loved it. Nice playground with soft shredded rubber tires beneath to cushion falls) Would be nice to have a kiddie pool. Pizza and breakfast pizza were tasty and so convenient having it delivered to our campsite. Staff/owners very friendly.

The staff was very friendly. Park was a good distance from highway noise, but it was easily accessed. Sites were primarily shaded, and pizza was delivered to our site. Good eats and very nice treat! Dog pens were well supplied with bags and there were many of them-all clean. Pool area was also nice-and shaded. We heard a train, but it wasn’t disruptive at night. Overall great-we will return!

This was our first stay at Route 66 KOA. I love a campground that has lots of mature shade trees, and this KOA is one of the best we've seen. The bathrooms are sparkling clean, the sites are level, and the staff couldn't be nicer!!

Very nice facility, friendly staff, nice store. Site I was in could use some leveling TLC, saw others having to use extra to get level, big rigs.

The new owners have done a great job with the upgrades they’ve made. The only issue is the trains, which they have no control over.

Very nice cabin! We had a problem with the TV and the proprietor came right away in the rain and quickly fixed it. Very friendly and accommodating.
