Wish we would have known about the construction. Should have been on the website. No Wifi as they said the construction crews cut the line. We were there for 4 days and no repairs. Also, cable was shotty at best reminded of the 60's TV stations. Also had no ice for sale. We stayed about 2 years ago and it was great. Campground was clean and the staff friendly.

In all the years I have never given this place less than the top rating. I was there a month and most paid for amenities did not work. No accommodation or even apology and the several times I brought it up. Has gone down hill since no longer privately owned.

I cannot get over the playground ant infestation and the condition of the hot tub which was FILTHY and appeared inoperable.....I was even okay with your spaces being ON TOP OF each other, but the ants were a deal breaker. You need to PAY FOR a professional exterminator and regular service. Why would you not get that situation under control? This is a child's play area.

This was our first time staying at a KOA, we arrived after hours and there was a lady who was so willing to help us. The facilities are very clean and comfortable. The office personnel have great customer service. We will definitely be back.

This was our second staying at KOA South Padre and we love each each time we have stayed. The staff was very helpful and very friendly. The kids love doing the arts and crafts, and the smores'. We will definitely be back in the future.

When we arrived I was told the pool is out of commission for a week. I was okay with that because I know things happen. Then I was told there is no internet due to construction. I work on the road and depend on internet. Then told there was no cable. That is WHY I CHOSE KOA for the ammenities. I would have saved 50$ a night and stayed down the road had I been informed of the outtages. Sad.

I didn’t realize the sites were all rock-not a huge issue. The pool was closed the entire time we were there, as was the playground. That’s super annoying!! We stayed because KOA is known to be family friendly-but this one was not. South Padre is 110, we stayed because of the pool. It’s not always easy to take a toddler to the beach. We will look elsewhere to camp next time we go to South Pa

The pool water was too hot during the day, we had an incident where the employee was rude while in the pool area. I keet my cool only because my family was there. All because we moved the umbrella to where we could get shade because the sun was hitting our backs. No signs were posted not to move the tables or chairs. In the 3-4 years we have been staying here never had I seen an employee in there.

New check-in office location now makes sense. Camp is clean and well-maintained. The RR were comfortable and relatively clean (guests who don’t clean up their hair in showers and/or sinks are gross). The RR could use more hooks on which to hang clothes and some shelves to put toiletries. Dog area was relatively clean (dog owners who don’t clean up after their pets are gross). Overall GREAT sta

wonderful stay at the KOA. We were in site 1A which had a lovely view of the boat launch and Laguna Madre Bay. Sites 1A and 20B, C, and D have that same great view, but they are all very tight and very hot on the blacktop. I'd say site #1 is the true gem of the KOA. It's much bigger than it looks on the map. The pool was wonderful.

Excellent customer service from all staff. Every department is helpfully and professional. Koa is the only campground we stay because of the excellent customer service , cleanliness, family oriented, and safe environment!! Kiddos to all especially Lari !!!! Extremely patient and helpful during family camp events such as arts and crafts, etc. Great job !!!!

My wife and I, we enjoyed our stay at KOA. The staff were very nice, courteous and professional. However, the camp grounds need some improvements; the Men and Women bathrooms need to be up graded, not enough rest and bath stalls. The internet service needs to be up-graded. Night security needs to be increased, too many outsiders coming into the grounds and tenants not complying with rules.

We come here at least twice a year and this stay was very different. The site was filled with trash (empty water bottles, old water shoes, and other litter). The campground seemed not as well kept as usual (last stay was in December/January)…weeds are taking over and the shrubs could use a trim in between the sites.

Loved the location of the KOA and very close to the beach that we walked to from there. The staff was very friendly and helpful and answered our questions as this was our first time in the road with our RV. It was also very convenient to use the Island Metro to take us anywhere on the island and drop us off right at the entrance. Restrooms/ showers we clean early but could use a touch up afternoon

Was great. Super crowded but hey... 4th of July, we get it. Only issue I had about it being crowded wasn't how many campers but how many trucks, boats, waverunners and golf carts at each site. Between the golf carts just driving however they wanted, the crowded spots because of the multiple vehicles at each site spilling into the road and people walking it became quite hazardous. We always enjoy our stay. With that said, since there is a considerable amount of construction happening on the property, it was not as nice as it should be. There was NO notification of construction and NO notice that the gym would not be available prior to our visit or posted on the website. Disappointing that resort prices are still being charged for a non-resort experience. Great staff!

This was our first time staying at KOA. They weren't responsive to my texts and we didn't have Wifi or even cable. They said wifi doesn't work with cable. I asked about wifi and cable as they both weren't working. The space was nice. Lot of smoking (both sides had smokers so I couldn't stay outside to enjoy. Had to leave a day early and no one asked if there was anything they could do.

Staff was friendly however, when notified about a neighbor's water connection leaking and improper sewer connections no correction to the problem. They did look at the water leak but said it was on the guest's water filter and just let it go. This was not a little leak it was spraying. Also, with all the upgrades that are going on at this KOA there is no mention of better WIFI. Very BAD WIFI!

My Grandchildren and us were disappointed, due to the remodeling we really didn't enjoy KOA like other times. It would have been nice to have known the Remodeling was going on and we could have chosen a better time to visit KOA camping grounds.

We enjoyed our stay and everyone was very kind. Our site and the dog park had several puppy potties left behind, I just missed stepping on several remnants. We are excited to see the renovations that are planned for.

Tenth consecutive year at SPI KOA. This year our stay was not that different from previous years with the exception of the closure of the Tanks (amenities lost but not replaced -now or potentially in the future. We have previously rated the park a 5 or 10 but have lowered our rating due to essentially no upgrades or improvements in camping value.

We have been staying at the SPI KOA every summer for the past 13 years, brining other campers with us. It seems like the "amenities" are diminishing but the fees are going WAY up. Unfortunately, Pier 19 is no longer there, a MAJOR reason we stayed at the KOA in the first place. The Tango Internet still sucks (cannot stream), only one place to do laundry and no workout facility - but Great Staff!

The space we were put in, we were not able to back our 5th wheel all the way into it as the electric and water were too far forward in the site. This caused us not to have room to park our truck at the site. This did get resolved as they let us park in another lot. The neighbors however had 3 dogs they left outside all the time that barked constantly making for an unpeaceful stay.
