Mangroves need trimmed! Can't see H2O from any campsite on channel side and very little from sunset deck. New manager seem to be getting her hands around a long neglected park. Looking forward to the new community building and patio furniture.

Nice park. Close to everything! It was the perfect spot to watch the Spacex launch. Very friendly, helpful staff. Picnic tables need to be replaced but other than that, it was a nice place to stay.

Good location, clean bathrooms, water access. The only reason for my 4 stars rating is the fact that campfire is allowed ONLY if you bring your OWN FIRE PIT!!! Van campers do not have the luxury of space to bring fire pits!!! I would rather rent a pit from the campground and use it for the duration of my stay!

Sites are really tight, not a lot of space between campers. Disappointed it is all gravel and no grass on sites. Long walk to the beach and you cannot drive on the beach until you are on the other end of the island. Restrooms and laundry room was nice. Pool was ok and hot tub was a nasty milky color and the jets weren’t strong. Too many kids allowed to play in it. Not enough chairs

This is the second year in a row we have spent a couple of weeks at South Padre Island.The KOA is good, staff is friendly, and check-in is easy; you are escorted to your site! The sites are a bit cramped but it was not a problem for us but we tow a Tahoe and it is tight to park that. Overall it was a good experience and we will certainly come back!

We had a great time. The facilities are kept neat and clean. The staff is friendly and helpful. The location is convenient to everything on the island. We will definitely stay here again!

Stayed 4 years ago and had nothing but positive things to say about the grounds and staff. Unfortunately, this trip wasn’t the same. Other than pool area there are no amenities. Sites could use some work. Some weeding, some fill to level the sites (we were partially underwater for the first few days). Campgroun is going through some changes and I hope when finished it’s as great as it had be

A little loud due to spring break but every single employee was friendly and professional, bathrooms were clean, dog area was clean, and great location.

Had a great time. Amenities were great. Loved the new restrooms with showers. Our site was also very accommodating and not tight where our vehicle would not fit accordingly.

Seemed to be a lot of vehicle driving through playing very loud, heavy bass music.

Thank you for staying with us. For your safety, we check car tags for every guest to be sure they are current KOA campers, and at 10pm we shut down any music that is still going. We do our best to make sure camping can be fun and for everyone. We hope you can come stay again soon!

no club house .took all most two months to get cable fixed so i could get all the CHANELS Promised .Very few actives Electrical, water ,and sewer was up graded

Had a great stay Difficult finding an available bathroom near our site, can’t tell when shower/bath are occupied. Lots of heavy loud music from nearby campgrounds made it hard to sleep.

Thank you for staying with us. We will be installing 'occupied/vacant' switches on those bathhouses to help with this issue. Unfortunately, during spring break there are a few concerts at local businesses near us that we don't have control over. I do apologize for the overspill of noise to our park.

Staff is great. Good to see the same workers every winter stay. Dottie, Shannon, Steve Farrell are all great workers. Christi has a fantastic vision forward for the place. After witnessing Tom and Stacy neglect the place, then Terry Dick doing just enough to make it to retirement, it is a breath of fresh air to see someone who has energy and the drive to jump to the next level.

Great location. Sites too close together for my taste, but we did have a great site - the view out of our windshield was Space Ex across the bay. I prefer quiet - which was quiet after 10 p.m. but not before.

Great interaction with the staff and stay was great. I love the quiet time starting at 10pm allowing me to wind down and get plenty of rest. The location is convenient to everything I had planned on my vacation and wasn’t ready to leave.

Love the SPI KOA! The staff are friendly and excellent; setting is superb; weather was (mostly) wonderful (a lot like weather)! Have many friends/good neighbors there. Though we don't participate in many of the organized camp activities, enjoy ourselves immensely. Looking forward to when the infrastructure revamps and site developments reach their conclusions. Very tight spaces. All activities were confined to a large tent which had two open sides and three sides that were torn and raggedy. No heaters for the cool weather. Staff were friendly. Bathrooms dated but clean. Laundry was adequate.

If you like being packed in like sardines, have your neighbors sewer right at your picnic table, no room to use your awning, kids running around shouting at campers then this place is for you. The only saving grace is the island. This is what happens when greed takes over and they split pull through lots into 2 over priced lots.

Dottie and Donna were great. Sam and Michelle also very good. Campground under renovation always a challenge. Temporary rest rooms better than what was but will need maintaining-caulking, cleaning etc. All sites are very tight-couldn’t put my awning out if my neighbors had their window awning out. Most sites have rock base too large for comfort. Issues with people cont walking thru my site.

We really enjoyed our stay at South Padre. The camping location is awesome, close to beaches. Service and staff have been super good and general cleanness is excellent despite the strong wind that was making the life little bit harder. Our spot was tight (like more or less all spots) but we've been lucky because for the whole stay (almost 20 days) nobody occupied the spot in front of us so we have space for the car and also free view.
