Pool was nice good area to be in only problem was the one dryer didn’t dry the clothes so we had to hang them in the trailer but I’m sure they fixed the problem I hope

For a last minute city camping trip this was a great experience. Highly recommend for those who are used to city camping, we had a great time. Pool was heated, the campground is kid friendly, staff was nice and helpful, and fellow campers were community friendly as well.

Both pool and spa chemicals caused me to break out in hives. I believe it may be calls over doing the chemicals or the type of shock being used.

The people running the place were fantastic. The place is kind of rundown but it's obvious that there are future changes on the way. The sites are very tight. Sewer connections are right in the neighbors patio. There was even a cutout area in our patio for neighbors sewer hookups. Picnic tables were directly next to them. There was a blockage one day and sewer backed up all over the ground.

Sites are too close together no privacy whatsoever. Nothing special here for what you have to pay. Showers need upgrades. Sorry I won’t be returning to this KOA

No loyalty to KOA VIP members. Inconsistencies with regards to policies for reservations from one front office person to another. Stayed a few months and paid extra to reserve a spot for next winter and got 2 months but was told could reserve for the next month till 1st of month. Upon entering on 1st my space was given away. Canceled my future reservation and will stay at Encore instead. No loyalt

Let me begin with all the staff in golf carts were nice and helpful. The young girl with glasses at the registration desk was rude, very unhelpful and continued to spin in her chair the entire time while assisting check in. We again encountered her rude behavior during the ice cream social. The grounds for dogs was full of stickers, as all of my dogs were caked with. Sites are way to close togethe

Very nice park. Great facilities. Everyone was very nice. My grandkids had a blast. We have been to South Padre many times and stayed in hotels. This was the first time we had an RV. This was much better than staying in a hotel.

The only disappointment in our stay was that we had to leave. LOL My son and I (and Max) always have fun making great memories there at the KOA. Oh, and I really like space 116. Please put me there every time…. �

We have loved being KOA Winter Texans for 8 yrs. Good to see all the improvements going on. Pool looked great this year. Hope new Commons building has better sound & more room. Activity budget needs more money. Sunset deck needs to be elevated for better views.

We enjoyed our two week stay in site 58 with a motorhome. Gravel pad but level. Facilities clean and maintained, some updating/upgrading probably due (and it sounds like some investment in this KOA is on the horizon). We used the laundry, pool, hot tub, and found everything very adequate. The best part of this KOA though is of course the location, so much to do and enjoy on SPI! We will be back!

This was a great stay. Clean, well-managed, friendly, and accommodating staff! We had to move twice but that was NOT because of KOA. I made the mistake of booking at a different local RV Park and when we saw it and realized it was a shambles I made a quick call to KOA who GRACIOUSLY found us a great spot at side 102 for 4 nights and two locations within the park. We will come back next year!

We enjoyed our stay very much until our last week when the sewer backed up. The crew was great about getting it unblocked and working again. The issue for us in #46 and our neighbor in #44 was the fact that the raw sewage backup on #45 was not cleaned up. We left early due to a family med. emergency on 3/7, at that point it had been 2 days of feces being covered up with sand instead of removed.

The park is beautiful and the staff are very friendly. The park has improved a lot this last year and we are very encouraged. We still need a nearby restaurant to take the place of Pier 19, and we are anxiously awaiting the planned changes to the Commons, etc.

Stayed 6 days with our small class C and loved it. Bathrooms are the only slight negative as showers small and dated but the pool, hot tub and viewing deck were great. Best part was the employees. Very friendly positive and helpful!

This KOA has serious sewer issues, the smell, the drain is slow, and there was a back up. The sites are very close together and when people use fences, it makes it worse. Our site had debris left by the previous people which is not fun picking up after someone. We had a 4 inch screw in our tire we found as we were leaving.The staff were friendly upon arrival and throughout our time there.

We had a wonderful time for only staying the weekend. The campground was very nice and clean, and everyone was friendly. We took our kids and were looking forward to fishing but the pier was gone and we couldn't fish. That was disappointing. But the views and the pool are lovely. Our site was excellent and the showers were great. All in all, we enjoyed it very much and will go back again!

We stayed for 3 months and found the facilities to be of good quality. The pool, laundry and sites are clean and tidy. Improvements to the WiFi would be greatly appreciated. Pet owners should be more considerate of campers who do not bring their pets, such as excessive barking and the use of roadways and sites for animal defecation. The use of the dog park should be strictly enforced.

Registration office is too close to main road with no space for all the rigs arriving at the same time. We had 3 rigs and there were 3 more on the main road plus traffic leaving the KOA. Very scarey! We paid extra to secure a site which was NOT available upon arrival, sites are too close for our liking and too much random traffic allowed into the KOA. A security gate is a must do!!!

KOA at SPI required I change spaces for last 3 days. The folks in that space had to move so I could take their spot. They were upset, since I could have moved to their new spot instead of their old spot, and they wouldn't have had to move. I requested a different space, due to the neighbor in spot 49 had his own personal fence installed 2 feet on my side of the dividing space. KOA refused.

Nice park, great location but be aware spaces are pretty tight, especially if you have a traditional Class A coach with slides on both sides. If so do your best to get a pull through site. Friendly staff, nice pool.

This is our 7th year back at the SPI KOA. We really enjoy the community of friends we have made and continue to see. Always great adding new friends. Looking forward to the new facilities they will be building. Hopefully well planned with a continued large sundeck.

We found the staff very friendly and accommodating. However the showers were sometimes cold. I did not receive a welcome to S. Padre KOA email until after we left. We were there for a month. Facilities were alway clean. Overall we were satisfied.

We really enjoyed our stay at South Padre. The camping location is awesome, close to beaches. Service and staff have been super good and general cleanness is excellent despite the strong wind that was making the life little bit harder. Our spot was tight (like more or less all spots) but we've been lucky because for the whole stay (almost 20 days) nobody occupied the spot in front of us so we have space for the car and also free view.
