This is our favorite KOA. This is our seventh winter spent at SPI. The park is very clean and the staff is outstanding. Everyone is very friendly, and accommodating. They are making some updates to the park that look great and we can’t wait to be back next January 2024 to see more updates! The location is what you go for , the staff is a welcoming and helpful crew. Stacy & Joe

Everyone was so nice and very helpful. This is the only campground we have stayed in that not only picks up your trash but will pick up and fill your propane tanks. Excellent service. Minor complaint is the sites are gravel which required some extra leveling.

The KOA is very nice and well maintained. Our site was perfect too. We’re looking forward to the upcoming improvements for next year.

Enjoyed the convenience to beach, restaurants, and shopping. Commons area needs a restroom. Hopefully that will be considered during the upcoming renovations.

4 stars instead of 5 because they are in the middle of several renovations. Should not be taking this long but it is. Still like the place. SPI has the best beaches in Texas and this KOA is close to everything. Staff is polite and helpful. We are coming back next year for two months.

Beautiful campground. Friendly staff. Nice pool and playground for the kids. Level sites. Clean bathroom and showers There is a free bus that picks you up right outside the campground and takes you throughout Padre Island. There is also three restaurants you can walk to which will all very good. Would definitely recommend

My daughter and I traveled to your KOA from Minnesota. This was our first time traveling to South Padre Island. We found the layout and facilities to be great. My only complaint is the one sit down stall in the men’s bathroom. It’s my understanding the campground will be undertaking some upgrades. Perhaps expanding another toilet or two is in the plans for the men’s bathroom in the upgrades.

We always have a great time at KOA. Wish our travel trailer site would have been more of a handicap accesible site. The white rocks made it very hard for my husband to get around in his electric chair on our site. I did specify we wanted handicap accesiblitly. Service and facility was 5 star as always.

Very nice KOA. Only stayed 2 days, wish we could have stayed longer. Had pull through site with patio. Pool and hot tub were an added bonus. Laundry was clean.

We had the handicapped site for 3 nights. Everything was great except there should be a better way to "cone" off the site becasue ppl constantly paraded through our site as close as to our camper doors and vehicle. Very much a turn off. Maybe paint signs on the tar or more cones that dont blow away. I am handicapped and it would of been way better if you had a better plan or discounted us.

Very disappointed in the poor quality and maintenance of the exercise equipment. Very few social events offered to the winter Texans during Dec, Jan and Feb.

Park was average condition. Utilities work fine. Site was level. Suggest the park add some gravel so guests can avoid walking in mud/standing water puddles

Site was not clean, cigarette buts all over, dog poo, the site had not been checked prior to our arrival. TLC needed at that price, come on KOA!

Staff was very nice. Sites are very close stacked in like sardines. Buildings are old sewer plant tanks well done but old. Not close to anything, so you have to drive. Across from us were "them" campers we weren't even set up and they ran through our site to catch there homey. 6 cars at there site.16 people partying and staying in 1 camper. They were told only 2 cars so than they were dropped off

Nice clean campground. Quite a few activities offered. Not on the beach but you can see intercostal water from a few sites. The back in center sites are very tight. With the big campers and big pickup trucks it’s difficult to see anything. Very cramped.

We were there as winter Texans for ten weeks. It was nice the park had made major improvements and we look forward to their plans in the future. We were unhappy that our dogs ended up with so many stickers. When mowing, your lawn service needs to capture the grass and stickers in a bag and discard instead of throwing them around. You can buy a device to even roll over grass and pick them up.

This KOA was large but the sites had plenty of room. Unfortunately it was cold, windy and raining so didn’t get to venture out. Bathrooms were clean and big. Was very close to town with fun activities.

High rate of employee to guest ratio made it easy to get help when needed. Great in park events held on many days. Clean and great views from many sites. Close to free transportation so no need to use own vehicle for most days.

I booked friends into cabin . They need updating. Blinds falling off . No utensils except one knife and bbq tools. 2 cups,2 mugs no plates or bowls. Quite pricey for what you got. They have booked condo for next year. Our RV site was great . New cable, staff attentive to maintaining site and friendly!

Pool was nice good area to be in only problem was the one dryer didn’t dry the clothes so we had to hang them in the trailer but I’m sure they fixed the problem I hope

For a last minute city camping trip this was a great experience. Highly recommend for those who are used to city camping, we had a great time. Pool was heated, the campground is kid friendly, staff was nice and helpful, and fellow campers were community friendly as well.

Both pool and spa chemicals caused me to break out in hives. I believe it may be calls over doing the chemicals or the type of shock being used.

The people running the place were fantastic. The place is kind of rundown but it's obvious that there are future changes on the way. The sites are very tight. Sewer connections are right in the neighbors patio. There was even a cutout area in our patio for neighbors sewer hookups. Picnic tables were directly next to them. There was a blockage one day and sewer backed up all over the ground.

Sites are too close together no privacy whatsoever. Nothing special here for what you have to pay. Showers need upgrades. Sorry I won’t be returning to this KOA
