KOA at SPI required I change spaces for last 3 days. The folks in that space had to move so I could take their spot. They were upset, since I could have moved to their new spot instead of their old spot, and they wouldn't have had to move. I requested a different space, due to the neighbor in spot 49 had his own personal fence installed 2 feet on my side of the dividing space. KOA refused.

My husband and I stayed in a small cabin. We had everything we needed for our 3 day stay. Friendly staff.

Nice park, great location but be aware spaces are pretty tight, especially if you have a traditional Class A coach with slides on both sides. If so do your best to get a pull through site. Friendly staff, nice pool.

This is our 7th year back at the SPI KOA. We really enjoy the community of friends we have made and continue to see. Always great adding new friends. Looking forward to the new facilities they will be building. Hopefully well planned with a continued large sundeck.

We found the staff very friendly and accommodating. However the showers were sometimes cold. I did not receive a welcome to S. Padre KOA email until after we left. We were there for a month. Facilities were alway clean. Overall we were satisfied.

Love it there!! Love the morning aerobics with Mary! Pool is too cold for everyone tho.. could do a better job with weeds but it looks like the friendly staff is busy.... please take the Pier one sign down where u pull in..it's been gone over a year and people still pull in with brochures looking for it! We also saw a few shady characters and cars late night..a gate with code system would be nice

Nice campground, clean facilities. My site was tight and short… not much room. This place is pricey but I knew that when making the reservation.

Pretty expensive for cramped sites. Poor cable (no service for 3 days while upgrading but our stay ended before seeing if done)

Staff was very helpful and nice to deal with. Campsite was comfortable. Pool was beautiful but didn’t get to use it as much as we would have liked. Our fault.

I like the new office but it does need better signage as I drove right past it to the old location. I enjoy the cabin overlooking the bay and it’s a peaceful and quiet environment. The new flattop cooktop will take some getting used to but it was ok after maintenance got it working. Looking forward to the next trip and I just got home b

Only okay, especially for the price. Great location, nice staff (especially Lisa, Steve, and “long hair guy”) Most of the sites are really tight to both get into (if your of any larger size) and space to use/park. Don’t mind gravel sites but these are sharp stones. Had 4 layers of mat and still couldn’t be barefoot. Built a new check in office and it only backs up traffic. Stupid! Great

Nice place to stay. We had friends stay there in their RVs. We rented a studio cabin. The accommodations were fine, but the mattress needs to be replaced badly. Broken down in the middle. Top step of porch is getting treacherous because of moisture. Aside from those, we enjoyed our stay. I am disappointed when I heard the waterfront cabins will be torn down. Was hoping to get one of those next tim

Getting into our site was VERY tight. Less than six inches on both sides for our 5th Wheel. You'll definitely want multiple spotters. Laundry, hot tub, and pool worked great. Daily activities while we were there. The neighboring boat storage building blocked the wind, which was nice as it was very windy on our first full day. The layout is definitely more amenable to motorhomes than towables.

Lovely heated pool. Walking distance to at least two restaurants. And walking distance to gorgeous beach. Unfortunately, RV beside us was in process of being spray-painted. Not sure how the staff resolved that issue, but we were moved to a very nice site and enjoyed our two days.

Stayed in the cabin. It was very comfortable and well maintained. Everything provided. Pool, laundry, view. Had a power failure first night. Response was immediate. In morning my water heater wasn't working. Apparently the heater caused the power failure. Johnny responded quickly and replaced in an hour with a 50% discount without my even asking. Now that's customer service.

I know a lot of people like it there but I expected a beach along the property. I’m used to koas having bigger sites I felt cramped in there. Parking for automobiles was awful. Laundry was crazy ten washers and dryers for the whole campgrounds.

The staff was very friendly. They are currently renovating but it didn’t affect our stay. Their heated pool and hot tub were very enjoyable. Added bonuses were free aquafit classes 3 times a week and gym equipment. They had events in the common area.I hope they add a dog wash station during their renovations, after a day at the beach it would be nice to wash our dogs. Definitely going back agai

Beautiful campground and opportunity to meet many wonderful "Winter Texans". Support staff is excellent! We heard multiple people frustrated with having to move multiple times within their stay. One couple moved 5 times in a two week period. This is not acceptable (thus a 4 rating)

Well our lights went off we had no electricity we tried calling the after hours no answer We had to go look for maintenance we couldn’t find nobody at ten o’clock at night finally we found someone came to turn light on but then it went off 5 more times thru the night heater didn’t work n my mother is disabled Never again I think we should get our money back or get free weekend stay

Excellent accommodations in #8. So comfortable, clean, and just perfect for us. One minor thing, the toaster control for darkness was missing. Maybe a new one next time.

We really enjoyed our stay at South Padre. The camping location is awesome, close to beaches. Service and staff have been super good and general cleanness is excellent despite the strong wind that was making the life little bit harder. Our spot was tight (like more or less all spots) but we've been lucky because for the whole stay (almost 20 days) nobody occupied the spot in front of us so we have space for the car and also free view.
