It was very lovely to stay at the SSM KOA. Lovely staff, clean park and lots of areas to walk the dogs. Loved the mini put, despite a bit of jovial frustrations! Definitely, we would book here again!

We very much enjoyed our stay at the Soo KOa. I wasn't impressed at first that we were given a site next to the dog park given that we don't have pets but that was very quickly rectified when it was brought to their attention. Showers were great, laundry closes early but it certainly wouldn't stop us from returning again.

I was pleasantly sirprised by the cleanliness of everything. Staff were nice and helpful’. You don’t get privacy like in a state park but other than that, it was perfect

Well kept park with flat sites. Staff was helpful and friendly and the dog parks were kept clean and mown.

We stayed for five nights. The park is clean and the staff is friendly. The public washrooms are immaculate. The location is great for highway access and for day trips.

This is our second time coming to the Sault Ste. Marie KOA. Our first time was at the very beginning of Covid when we were one of very few campers. Our four kids absolutely loved the resort and we promised to come back. Upon our return, it was everything they loved and more! The brand-new playground was an absolute hit and an awesome addition to an already amazing, clean & friendly resort!

Not very impressed with the lot sizes, they advertise large spacious lots and with our 27' travel trailer we barely had a lot big enough for our awning to open. Also when neighbors arrived they had no choice but to have their slideout opened onto our site. I would not visit again

The Sault Ste. Marie KOA was a great place to camp. Owners and staff were very helpful and friendly. The campgound was always clean and tidy. My only negative comment would be that some of the sites were very close together, limiting privacy. We will camp there again but will choose a different site. Had a great time! Gwen

We are frequent visitors of this KOA, and it is always extremely clean. Our children love the new playground and the pool is always warm. We have made some great memories here and will continue to come back!! The only thing we wish was different was the cost of the sites, they are getting up there in price. The store could also use some new variety of snacks and what not. But overall, excellent

Great service, clean, there’s a pool, mini putt and ride on trikes. However, disappointing to see there were no celebrations for Canada Day. I’ve been to other KOAs and there were extra activities, BBQS and fireworks. Nothing.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Fireworks are not permitted in our campground at any time because of our location in the forest. Additionally, there is a fire ban all across Northern Ontario, so there would not have been fireworks in any northern campground this Canada Day.

Very impressed with washroom and shower facilities as cleanest I’ve ever seen. Loved the pool and other amenities. Site ver nice and quiet. Very friendly owners and other staff! Will definitely stay again when passing through on road trips.

Check in was efficient, site was nicely laid out. Only issue was that they don’t allow parking cars on grass so they arranged a spot near by. Don’t blame them as grass this year is hard to maintain. Washrooms where one of the best I have seen, campgrounds where in above average condition.

Nice decent sized campsites but the showers are fabulous. Lots of pressure and hot water. The washroom and shower area were spotless. This is the best we have seen at KOA campgrounds in the USA and in Canada including Provincial Campgrounds. The other nicety is this campground is far away from the highway and very quiet, not like a Provincial Campground about an hour away.

Terrific RV and tent campground. Owners and staff are very friendly and professional. The campground is well maintained and has lots to offer for adults and children. The washrooms and showers are clean and are closed for an hour daily to allow for major cleaning by the staff. They accommodated our ´big rig' (with advanced booking) and (as always) were most helpful during our latest stay. We make this an annual stop. This year we went specifically to enjoy the colours of the fall and were rewarded with spectacular displays. We stayed for 10 nights. The campground parameters and schedules are well laid out and following them makes for a most enjoyable stay. This park is dog friendly and we appreciate the folks that follow the pet guidelines. We highly recommend this campground - it's in a terrific location close to town amenities (10 minute drive). There is some faint highway noise and a few trains - far less than most of the campgrounds that we have stayed in - certainly didn't disturb our sleeping.
