Really enjoyed campground w/ lots of up and downhill climb- I have a jeep and loved it! I liked the amenities of KOA (ie. general store, pool, and all the options w/ rv, and camping). Some areas of improvements: Pool was not open, unscheduled blackouts. I loved the site. We will come back! Tony Gonzalez

I had a great stay at this KOA, the Deluxe cabin was clean and in a great location away from other cabins. The whole campground was as well clean and thought out nicely. I had absolutely no issues. It’s very close to the lake and the beach so you really get the best of both worlds. I’ll be staying here in the future for sure!

We had never stayed at a KOA or in a cabin anywhere before, so it was a FANTASTIC 1st experience. We will be visiting other KOA's for sure after our amazing weekend in Santa Margarita. SOOOO peaceful & quiet & we think we had the best spot in the whole campground. We will definitely be back!!!

We came down from NorCal to attend a family affair in Templeton. KOA’s are our favorite campgrounds to stay at, and the Santa Margarita was the perfect place to stay. We stayed in a pet friendly cabin, which was perfect. The staff was very friendly and helpful. If and when we’re in the area, we would definitely stay there again!

We love coming to the SM KOA. Everything is always clean and well kept. Our kids really enjoyed the Father’s Day activities. Can’t wait to go again.

It was amazing! I love the sceneries! All the staff is really friendly and helpful. The only issue that we encounter is that the AC in the Party Yaourt is not very efficient. It was really hot in there.

My cabin was great! The only thing is it would be better with g regular frig.. Since this cabin sleeps 8 a larger rig would be perect!

My wife and I stayed 2 nights in a deluxe cozy cabin. The cabin was very clean and comfortable. The grounds were well kept and the KOA sits on very hilly property which made the stay seem more like a traditional campground than a typical KOA or similar facility. Staff was very friendly and helpful and seemed genuinely happy we stayed there.

Got the cabin #31 it was clean had everything but blanks and pillows almost like time share! But it was Totally awsome relaxing and fun thank you the staff was very nice and even delivered my firewood to me � Talk about peace loved it wifi was going in and out kinda got frustrated with it alittle having to drive out to get connected to still keep up with family members but im sure it will be fi

Last stop on our honeymoon, this KOA was our first vacation when dating and love the location. Best service of any KoA we’ve stayed at, by far our favorite people and place. Thank you everyone for making our stay a great memory we will always cherish.

The cabins are very nice - love the woodsy feel. Very clean and nice accommodations. This location is very hilly so would not recommend for anyone with disabilities if you are expecting to go for walks. Roads are a little scary at night, but the office very nicely provides you with a map to find your place which is really mandatory since it's a bit confusing getting around.

Our stay was a cousin get away. We enjoyed the deluxe cabin and loved the full covered porch. The road coming up and down the hill was really steep. We had a hard time pulling out of the camp site because there was a few small groves the front tires would get stuck in.

Awesome cabin. Glamping at its best. Very private and peaceful. Great views. Inside was clean and very roomy. Tv would have been nice. All in all, we loved our stay and will definitely be back.

The staff are so friendly and helpful. The property is clean, comfortable and quiet. My family saw some wildlife, deer, and wild turkey just outside of the cabin we stayed in. We had a lot fun and will go back soon.

This is an excellent place if you need a fully equipped cabin down to a tent campsite. Being built into a hillside allows more privacy between sites than you would expect from a typical KOA experience. The hosts are very helpful and very accommodating. Can't say enough about what makes this a step above the typical KOA location as it has been for decades.
