Had a great stay. Was upgraded unexpectedly to a better RV site, we loved it. This was our first trip out with our new RV and your grounds are great, easy access.

Great campsite. Well maintained and beautiful location. Friendly, helpful staff. And this campsite has a Kevin! (You’ll see if you visit). Overall, excellent experience.

We really enjoyed our weekend at this KOA. We traveled with a group of five families, and the owners set us all up next to one another, even the last-minute group that joined the evening before. The campground was quiet and every employee we encountered was friendly and helpful. I imagine it gets very busy during the summer months, but our winter stay was just what we all needed. We'll be back.

We had a wonderful relaxing week. We went up to stargazer hill one night. We used the amenities which were clean and well maintained. We will definitely be back

RV Sites are convenient and clean. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The Wifi worked well and that helped since the cell signal varies depending on where you are in the rural campground.

Excellent campground with lots of fun activities for the kids. The staff, especially Wolf and Lisa, were outstanding. Highly recommend!

it is a very nice park, the staff are friendly and very helpful. if you are looking for a place to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city, this the place to go.

Absolutely beautiful campground. Playground for the kids, new bbq pit, fire pit and comfortable patio set to sit and watch the sunset…the hosts were so kind and wanted to make sure we had everything we needed for our stay.

It took a mini family vacation to Santa Margarita KOA and we all loved it! My kids ages 11, 8, and 7 all enjoyed their daily visits with Kevin the Emu and we couldn't pull them away from the jumping pillow. We also enjoyed a night at the star gazing hill. Overall great family trip.

The area was beautiful and the Managers Wolf and Lisa are wonderful. They were helpful, friendly and present.

I arrived late in the evening and was going over my check-in paperwork when the campground host pulled up and greeted me. He then had me follow him to my space since it was dark. He then guided me into that space perfectly. AWESOME SERVICE!

Kim was very accommodating and made our stay even more enjoyable! When the crowds had left she let us pick a spot to move to and refunded some money since the site was at a cheaper rate. All in all, we were very satisfied! Thanks Kim!!

I love the layout. It is just so dusty. For $70 a night, I think the sites should have a cement patio, or lawn, or at least gravel. It isn't pleasant to sit outside when all there is is dusty dirt. Also not good reception on wifi. At our particular spot - Site 51 - we aren't sure what the problem was, but we think we must have had a defective breaker that kept tripping.

Very peaceful as there was not a lot of campers staying while we were there. Loved the fact that we had a large space, but the sewer smell was quite horrible at times. It was difficult to enjoy a nice meal outside while your getting whiffs of sewer as you’re eating. Also, when we arrived the site was covered with leaves and there was more than one pile of dog poop left from previous campers.

Awesome, plenty to do even if it is just relax and read. Even jumped on the air bag, and managed to talk another camper into doing it as well. Had a blast! Crew was amazing, funny and ever so helpful.

What a different unique KOA! Out in the middle of nowhere, who knew? Kim Anne & staff are amazing. Nice big pool, although I never used. Loved *Kevin* the Emu! Met fabulous neighbors, made a new friend who I know I’ll be in touch with. Only downside/reason for not 5 stars is the price per night. $75/nt. Too expensive. Grateful to be KOA Rewards member, saved us a little bit.

Our spot was littered with garbage from whoever was at the site before us. We checked in at 3:30 and the kampsight check in time was 1:00 so there was plenty of time for someone to clean up their trash left behind.

We loved our stay here. Large sites, very close to the lake and our daughter loved the jumping pillow, swings and pool!

Good trip. We wanted quite, kicked back weekend. Stayed in site 62, liked it. We thought store was open until 8pm. Called to see if they had item and found out they close at 5 after Labor Day. They had the needed item and Kim Ann delivered to our camp site. It was way above and beyond normal customer care. I was not feeling well, so the item was greatly appreciated. THANK YOU KIM ANN! This is an excellent place if you need a fully equipped cabin down to a tent campsite. Being built into a hillside allows more privacy between sites than you would expect from a typical KOA experience. The hosts are very helpful and very accommodating. Can't say enough about what makes this a step above the typical KOA location as it has been for decades.
